Is there a way to unlock the bike?
Are these guys still in business? Tried contacting. No response
I know you will be doing another vid but a B-roll shot of the bike would have been nice.
These videos are dedicated to showing the performance of the bikes on trails. More information about the bikes, including photos, can be found linked in the video description. Thanks for watching!
So the medium size was ok for you?
Ugh. I forgot to mention that in the video. Yes, I’m 5’8” with a 30” inseam, and the Medium was great.
I have 1200 miles on my C3. I like the efficiency and it's a decent bike. I can get around 60 miles on a charge using level 1 assist riding about 15 mph with 1500 ft of ascent. I get a little under 20 miles riding around 20 mph using level 5 and around 500 ft of ascent.
The front fork doesn't do hardly anything to absorb bumps because it is way over damped. Bumps feel very similar to a solid fork bike. I.E. it almost always feels locked out except for very low speed bumps.
At around 1000 miles my C3 developed a squeaking noise near the right side in the crank area. I took the crank off and the bearing dust seal and greased inside the seal. I tightened the cranks and changed the pedals but still have the very annoying squeaking noise. I tried getting help through the Avadar email support a couple of times and they completely ghosted me.
If you want to take your chances on a bike company that offers zero support then this is a good choice. I'm not completely disappointed because the bike is a pretty good value for the price. However just assume you are 100% on your own after you buy it. Their customer support has been nonexistent for me.
I’m looking forward to pedaling mine in the 0-2 range, saving the 3-5 for super steep hills, or when I’m bonking in the heat. I’m excited. Thinking of getting a second battery, to increase my range. Might pedal it (532 miles) to Sturgis this year, instead of riding.
Website doesn't have the brand names for the motor or battery cells. Do you know what they are?
Bah! I'll keep my SurRon. Sounds like that trail is right next to a freeway also.
You couldn’t ride your SurRon here. Yes, the park borders I40 on one side.
