At this point in time the best thing for Apex would genuinely be a sequal , the so many issues ingrained in the code of Apex that they simply cant fix it , an Apex 2 could give us a new engine bringing new graphics , sound fixes , better movement that actually baked in to the game and not just gliches in code and not to mention a better anti cheat , as it is the game feels like its on borrowed time
i'm not mad at the devs... i'm frustrated with EA's predatory microtransaction system to monetize Apex and not investing in the game itself. The devs are making some great things but the lack of security when it comes to cheaters and the audio issues that we all know as a true Apex gaming experience is becoming a HUGE problem. Not to mention the server stability...
Honestly, couldn't agree more. My team were just quitting from the game completely a while ago, but instead we just left anything and everything ranked behind. There's still plenty of cheaters in the unranked lobbies, and some nights and times are worse than others, but we can generally get a few wins under our belts in a night. There feels to just be absolutely no point in going near ranked how it is, which feels like a real shame, we're just not going to go near any of this content at all while it's in the state it is.
You hit the nail on the head with how it feels to play apex atm. Every time I get on I’m so excited to play with some of my friends but as soon as we get started we have to deal with cheating. My friends play on console and I’m on pc and due to the rampid cheating in pc it makes them not want to play with me

Exactly. Epic and Riot probably have teams of people fighting it. Respawn is literally laying off everyone they actually have. The skeleton crew of Apex isn't able to deal with it.

You know, I've heard that the game helldivers 2 has managed to fix a very terrible problem with their game because the entire community decided to rate the game as overly negative. Afterwards, the game went back to normal. If we perhaps did the same thing with apex, then maybe they will finally focus on this cheater issue.
Apex was abandoned a while ago…it feels that way to me at least. Haven’t played in like 4 seasons now..just pop in every now and then to see what’s changed. Not missing a whole lot it seems
idk if this would be a thing but if they made rewards more equal for noobs and pros to get, people might not feel the need to turn to the dark side there will always be cheaters but if there is less of a need to cheat it's a start I guess, just a thought. Maybe as gamers, we should come together and protest for cheaters in video games to receive actual jail sentences. It's seems dramatic and drastic to make this statement, but if cheaters are incapable to accept being losers in VIDEO GAMES or abide by the laws of VIDEO GAMES can you imagine their responses to real life problems.

I used to love Apex, but I quit mid-season 17 due to the sheer amount of cheating. I refuse to play again unless the day ever comes when EA fixes it - which I don't see ever happening.
I haven't played the game for weeks now, deinstalled it after a game of Control, where half the enemy team was cheating and half of my own. I just ... am so fed up with it. Really. Not going to install it again.
I personally still do have fun playing apex casually but.. A lot of people say why doesn’t apex get a anti cheat like valorant, which for those that don’t know valorant has one of the best anti cheats system in gaming history, anyways the problem with that is that the core gameplay of each game is different, valorant is a team v team game like csgo in those games is actually easier to pin point a cheater because you only have to monitor what 10 people per match, unlike a battle royal that the anti cheat system has to monitor 60 players in apex case most other battle royals have 100 or more players, and that is monitoring 60 players per match because there’s multiple different matches going on at the same time, and that’s without including modes like mix tape modes, so for apex to actually get a good anti cheat system they have to get a even faster and better anti cheat system then valorant which already has one of the best anti cheats in any game right now, im not trying to defend respawn because they’ve had 5 years to figure out a way to deal with cheaters and they still don’t know how to, that seems like laziness and greediness because as long as they keep getting paid from apex they won’t care for the cheater situation, and it’s sad really because if they don’t do something about the cheaters this game is gonna eventually become like cod bo2 infested with cheaters with nothing to hold them accountable for, I just wanted to mention key differences between the anti cheats in different gameplay styles, and the state of apex legends in the future if nothing is done with the cheaters.

Wait so the matchmaking for this mode is determined based on your rank in split 2 this season? So if I, a diamond + every season since season 3, decides to only get to bronze in split 2, in ranked rumble I will be going against true bronzes? No I see no issue with this with and if a bronze player performs better than a master in masters tier lobbies, they will get better rewards? I would say 80 percent of the players are using cheats..i have my own cheats but they are the cheap ones not the hardcore cheats that the Masters and Preds use.
The amount of comments on this video talking about cronus on console is insane. It isn’t and you guys are all just average and like to have a reason for why you died and got beamed. they are just adding a mode only for cheaters, as simple as that, if you want to remain sane, you better not play that game mode, or pay some good cheats, the ones that made you unbannable forever like most of the cheaters with 3 or more whole seasons double pred badges and you will be fine, maybe even delete the cheats after the game mode ends and play normal again like nothing happend, you will have the cheater badge but, who cares, a lot of preds that you see are cheaters as well, calling themselfs good XD

Did you see the r5 Controller aim assist VS mnk accuracy/KD data posted today? Aim assist is wildly over performing MnK players. So why do you think respawn cares about addressing cheaters? They aren't even willing to balance things they can directly control. Cheaters on the other hand is something plaguing the entire industry and nobody has a real solution. Why would Respawn work on something out of their control when they don't even address the balance issues they have full power over?

I just want an input block. Give me 30 minute queues to play just other mouse and key players so I can actually climb ranks against equal input. Let controller players compete against either other to see who can take advantage the best with the aim assist the game gives you.
Maybe it's just me, but imo the biggest problem with cheats being so readily available is that the actual skilled players or even above average players will ALWAYS be labeled as cheaters with almost no way to prove otherwise. It creeps into everybodys mind, now when average players die it's always a "cheater" I've caught myself a few times lately wondering "is this guy cheating? Or just really good" and 99% of the time we will never know, it's actually sad
Nah. There are some pros that get mistaken for cheaters but NO cheater is ever mistaken for a pro because they play badly and it's obvious. Had a guy in our game who hit 7 hipfire sentinel headshots in a row (across our team) in super quick succession. Sometimes you just know
For me I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt when it comes to shots. If your awareness is unreal especially at ranges where there are no audio cues I begin to assume walls are in play.

I can't think of a comp shooter that ISN'T overrun by cheaters. CS, R6, Tarkov, CoD, Apex. Enormous companies with immense resources can't fix this problem.
It's not that they can't, it's that they can't be arsed. All they care about is money. Take faceit / esea for cs as an example. The business model for them is an anticheat that works. Really, really works. Youll be lucky to ever spot a cheater, and they communicate with their customers to ban those who somehow do. Banning cheaters is not a priority anymore in the gaming world of micro transactions and skins to these big companies. They know we will still play and fork over our money for cosmetics

My apex experience this season, play solos and I always die to the same person twice even if I land somewhere else after they kill me I always die to the person who wins the game, trios is me constantly leaving the match because my teamates want to land where the whole lobby lands at and proceeds to yell at me cause I refuse to die before getting a weapon, ranked teamates ether die immediately or are to afraid to fight, mixtape has the most terrible maps designs

I see at this point I wasn't even sure if I ran into cheaters in solos I was confused. Plus I know my K'D is extremely low (I'm a casual player, I'm more focused on grad school, and work) so may be I don't have a right to my opinion but sometimes I just want to play and get some points but again for some odd reason I run into questionable players that have the 20k badge and they're in console which I always wonder are they good or are they cheating? I don't even feel motivated to play at times, I haven't bought the battle pass because I want to complete it first. It's just hard now with a lot of cheaters.

Apex vs Cheaters: I never felt like Respawn is actually doing anything to prevent the cheating problem. - Ban waves = Buy new account = EA makes money. - EAC = Doesn't work = EA doesn't want to invest in developing a new, effective anti-cheat. - Minimum level 50 required to play ranked = Was removed, not sure why = One step back. Honestly, the level 50 cap was the only positive change, and I would like to see it come back, but with a level 75 cap this time. (No, it's not crazy.)
Ngl every bit of excitement i have for this event, is crumbled by the despair of realising that it will never amount to anything due to cheaters. I always end up realising that i could have cheated and would have gotten better results without any repercussions.

There are speed hackers in the Console version now. Along with people with Chronus Xim, and other third-party cheating tools on console. Making their aim have no recoil or lock onto you, so yes, aimbot on console.

Who cares about ranked rumble. In Australia, every game has multiple cheaters. I love this game but honestly after playing every season this is the worst by far. Respawn needs hardware bans or Digital ID or biometrics to get an account to solve the issue.

If you didn't now..and all of your community...in Apex you can use aim assist on keyboard and mouse...and rufly looks like you are cheating...you are using controller settings when you are playing on mouse and keyboard..
I've been dealing with cheaters and the frustrations of the new skill-based matchmaking in Apex Legends. It's disheartening to enter LTMs with my trio squad, who have never reached Platinum, only to face teams of three-stack Masters and Predators. When requeuing, seven times out of ten, we end up in the same lobby against the same teams. Additionally, the lobbies aren't filling up enough anymore, causing most players to leave and resulting in barren and dry matches. In one game of TDM, three entire teams rotated out, leaving only one team from the start. Out of a lobby of six, we faced 16 different people, which is truly sad to see. I've spent thousands of hours and a significant amount of money on this game, playing on every console available and maintaining accounts on multiple platforms, each with a minimum level of 300.(until the account merge happened) I genuinely enjoy Apex Legends, but the issues over the past few years have made me consider uninstalling or even selling my Origin account. Although it's against EA's Terms of Service, it feels like they no longer care about their true player base.
It feels bad to be a player that plays fairly. Slowly and surely the desire to quit the game is growing especially since not only do we get punished in ranked but also with the content the game is providing. Lackluster Battle Pass and Cosmetic events. It's not rewarding to spend time nor money in Apex anymore.
Taking a break rn, on X defiant till game state improves, and new things come out. Nerf flatline damage, nerf havoc more, buff snipers (not the triple take delete that one) but make sentinel take 15% longer to bolt and no shoot rate increase and do 88 body 140 head-100/155 charged. Unreal how punished you get for using snipers. For range-obviously they are ok but then you cant finish a player unless they are literally out to graze on grass and have 0 cover.
Yeah cheaters are everywhere. Its almost like they are partnering with them. They need to just brick pcs and computers and block them.. But that cuts into profits so, they never will.
I have the fix for all cheaters. Thumbs up so we can get it out there PC - anticheat software with administrative access to detect background programs running. Give it a list of software to detect. And lock the user out of the game. All the devs would have to do after that is purchase the one time cheat from the cheat provider and upload it to the anticheat. Every time an updated cheat comes out repeat process. It's very simple and can work rapidly. Console is a little more complex Would still require secondary program running but to detect specific controller mods. Would have to get Playstation and Microsoft to serialize and encrypt accepted into the controller itself. Kind of like how apple does their devices. Anticheat needs to boot up before game does.
Apex is playable, just not seriously- not anymore. I can’t play seriously with the cheating and exploits being so out of hand. And the rewards don’t match the effort needed to endure the experience.
They aren't going to do anything. That's why I don't play anymore. Everybody is using hacks controller mods or macros. Nobody has recoil everybody has a pointer finger with unlimited stamina with single fire automatic weapons 😂
Go over to console, get bad/average at the game and play casual! I'm an average/poor player (max plat) on PS4/5 and after playing 17,000 matches over all seasons, about 40% in ranked, cannot remember ever coming across a cheater
Could this be a simple way to ban cheaters in the future? You’re only eligible for ranked split 2 if you have a rank in split 1? It doesn’t affect normal players but could drastically limit the cheaters in the 2nd half of the seasons going forward
I have played since the release of the game and this will be my last season of playing this game. The cheating and micro transactions have absolutely destroyed the game. It's just embarrassing to even say you play apex at this point.
If a game has a cheater problem, then any competitive aspect or rewards are ruined by the fact that there's a cheater problem. No one cares about their rank or rewards because it's not a fair reflection of skill or reward because of the cheating. Great effort Respawn but totally flawed. Total waste of time playing anything competitive in Apex unless you buy cheats.
It really says something about the PC community when the only anti-cheat that works in any game is an intrusive anti-cheat like valorants. If someone told me that riot games would be the first dev team to implement full console-only crossplay with a completely seperate anti-cheat for consoles I would have laughed you out of the room.
Server-side behavior models are the only way to catch cheaters effectively. The server has all the data needed: speed, bullet spread, time to kill, headshot percentage, etc. They just need an algorithm or maybe a neural network that detects anomalies.
The game has been basically unplayable for anyone in high diamond or masters for the last 3 seasons. CONSTANT cheaters in every single lobby.

Solution 2: Deactivate all aim assists.

I would say 80 percent of the players are using cheats..i have my own cheats but they are the cheap ones not the hardcore cheats that the Masters and Preds use.
The amount of comments on this video talking about cronus on console is insane. It isn’t and you guys are all just average and like to have a reason for why you died and got beamed. The only problem with console is 9manners taking away spots from real preds but besides that console is in a solid state right now tbh.
they are just adding a mode only for cheaters, as simple as that, if you want to remain sane, you better not play that game mode, or pay some good cheats, the ones that made you unbannable forever like most of the cheaters with 3 or more whole seasons double pred badges and you will be fine, maybe even delete the cheats after the game mode ends and play normal again like nothing happend, you will have the cheater badge but, who cares, a lot of preds that you see are cheaters as well, calling themselfs good XD

@@aliausaf2908 not in anywhere near the same degree. For one, console doesnt get aimbotters and ESP nerds natively from console. Only HW/consoleID spoofers - and those are extremely rare.

Did you see the r5 Controller aim assist VS mnk accuracy/KD data posted today? Aim assist is wildly over performing MnK players. So why do you think respawn cares about addressing cheaters? They aren't even willing to balance things they can directly control. Cheaters on the other hand is something plaguing the entire industry and nobody has a real solution.

I just want an input block. Give me 30 minute queues to play just other mouse and key players so I can actually climb ranks against equal input. Let controller players compete against either other to see who can take advantage the best with the aim assist the game gives you.
Maybe it's just me, but imo the biggest problem with cheats being so readily available is that the actual skilled players or even above average players will ALWAYS be labeled as cheaters with almost no way to prove otherwise. It creeps into everybodys mind, now when average players die it's always a "cheater" I've caught myself a few times lately wondering "is this guy cheating? Or just really good" and 99% of the time we will never know, it's actually sad

Nah. There are some pros that get mistaken for cheaters but NO cheater is ever mistaken for a pro because they play badly and it's obvious. Had a guy in our game who hit 7 hipfire sentinel headshots in a row (across our team) in super quick succession. Sometimes you just know
For me I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt when it comes to shots. If your awareness is unreal especially at ranges where there are no audio cues I begin to assume walls are in play.
Worst thing for me is I'm better than the average player without cheating so sbmm just puts me in cheater lobbies constantly and I just get wrecked

I can't think of a comp shooter that ISN'T overrun by cheaters. CS, R6, Tarkov, CoD, Apex. Enormous companies with immense resources can't fix this problem.
It's not that they can't, it's that they can't be arsed. All they care about is money. Take faceit / esea for cs as an example. The business model for them is an anticheat that works. Really, really works. Youll be lucky to ever spot a cheater, and they communicate with their customers to ban those who somehow do. Banning cheaters is not a priority anymore in the gaming world of micro transactions and skins to these big companies. They know we will still play and fork over our money for cosmetics

@@RainDevs Valorant has cheaters also, but since it has very intrusive anti-cheat they get banned faster but there are still quite alot of them. Not to mention not everyone want to risk 100% personal info that they have on their computer for intrusive anti-cheat.

My apex experience this season, play solos and I always die to the same person twice even if I land somewhere else after they kill me I always die to the person who wins the game, trios is me constantly leaving the match because my teamates want to land where the whole lobby lands at and proceeds to yell at me cause I refuse to die before getting a weapon, ranked teamates ether die immediately or are to afraid to fight, mixtape has the most terrible maps designs
I swear every map they have in mixtape is just some highground chokepoint that leads to one-sided games. It's such a horrible map rotation.

I see at this point I wasn't even sure if I ran into cheaters in solos I was confused. Plus I know my K'D is extremely low (I'm a casual player, I'm more focused on grad school, and work) so may be I don't have a right to my opinion but sometimes I just want to play and get some points but again for some odd reason I run into questionable players that have the 20k badge and they're in console which I always wonder are they good or are they cheating? I don't even feel motivated to play at times, I haven't bought the battle pass because I want to complete it first. It's just hard now with a lot of cheaters.
People need to stop playing/stop spending $$ in the game until cheaters and other issues are addressed. Everyone wants changes but are unwilling to do the only thing that will actually bring change.
Apex vs Cheaters:
I never felt like Respawn is actually doing anything to prevent the cheating problem.
- Ban waves = Buy new account = EA makes money.
- EAC = Doesn't work = EA doesn't want to invest in developing a new, effective anti-cheat.
- Minimum level 50 required to play ranked = Was removed, not sure why = One step back.
Honestly, the level 50 cap was the only positive change, and I would like to see it come back, but with a level 75 cap this time. (No, it's not crazy.)
If a smart kid can make cheats to get around a games mechanics and use them and sell them. Why can't a smart company block these cheats ?

Ngl every bit of excitement i have for this event, is crumbled by the despair of realising that it will never amount to anything due to cheaters.
I always end up realising that i could have cheated and would have gotten better results without any repercussions.
I finally quit the game for real this season it just kills me ive spent a fortune on it and genuinely loved apex but the cheats have ober run the game and its just not fun anymore

There are speed hackers in the Console version now. Along with people with Chronus Xim, and other third-party cheating tools on console. Making their aim have no recoil or lock onto you, so yes, aimbot on console.
Aim assist is already aimbot so literally play accordingly and take peak shots/ prefire

Who cares about ranked rumble. In Australia, every game has multiple cheaters. I love this game but honestly after playing every season this is the worst by far. Respawn needs hardware bans or Digital ID or biometrics to get an account to solve the issue.

Yeah its getting really bad xim mnk on console and Cronus is really bad at the moment most average bad players just go buy cheats now cause they want immediate results and don't wanna put the time in im beyond tierd of getting beamed across the map by someone with absolutely no recoil while i have to actually try in a gun fight then watching absolute bots walk around with no movement no awareness then die to the dumbest crap. the average playerbase was gold now the average is diamond suddenly everyone just went up 2 skill tiers in 2 seasons and they were all hard stuck gold its getting beyond stupid everyone has a 4k or a 20 cause they can pay for it or boost it making them feel way less of an accomplishment the top kill players are kill boosting so cant have that accomplishment and ranked is full of cheaters smurfs people teaming so what joy/ accomplishments can anyone have at this point. Competitive as a whole needs to change this is beyond a joke

If you didn't now..and all of your community...in Apex you can use aim assist on keyboard and mouse...and rufly looks like you are cheating...you are using controller settings when you are playing on mouse and keyboard..
I've stopped playing all fps games about a month ago due to how many cheaters there are now.
I've been dealing with cheaters and the frustrations of the new skill-based matchmaking in Apex Legends. It's disheartening to enter LTMs with my trio squad, who have never reached Platinum, only to face teams of three-stack Masters and Predators. When requeuing, seven times out of ten, we end up in the same lobby against the same teams. Additionally, the lobbies aren't filling up enough anymore, causing most players to leave and resulting in barren and dry matches. In one game of TDM, three entire teams rotated out, leaving only one team from the start. Out of a lobby of six, we faced 16 different people, which is truly sad to see.
I've spent thousands of hours and a significant amount of money on this game, playing on every console available and maintaining accounts on multiple platforms, each with a minimum level of 300.(until the account merge happened) I genuinely enjoy Apex Legends, but the issues over the past few years have made me consider uninstalling or even selling my Origin account. Although it's against EA's Terms of Service, it feels like they no longer care about their true player base.
It feels bad to be a player that plays fairly. Slowly and surely the desire to quit the game is growing especially since not only do we get punished in ranked but also with the content the game is providing. Lackluster Battle Pass and Cosmetic events. It's not rewarding to spend time nor money in Apex anymore.
Taking a break rn, on X defiant till game state improves, and new things come out. Nerf flatline damage, nerf havoc more, buff snipers (not the triple take delete that one) but make sentinel take 15% longer to bolt and no shoot rate increase and do 88 body 140 head-100/155 charged. Unreal how punished you get for using snipers.
For range-obviously they are ok but then you cant finish a player unless they are literally out to graze on grass and have 0 cover.

They need to just brick pcs and computers and block them..

PC - anticheat software with administrative access to detect background programs running. Give it a list of software to detect. And lock the user out of the game. All the devs would have to do after that is purchase the one time cheat from the cheat provider and upload it to the anticheat. Every time an updated cheat comes out repeat process. It's very simple and can work rapidly. Console is a little more complex
Would still require secondary program running but to detect specific controller mods. Would have to get Playstation and Microsoft to serialize and encrypt accepted into the controller itself. Kind of like how apple does their devices. Anticheat needs to boot up before game does.
Apex is playable, just not seriously- not anymore.
I can’t play seriously with the cheating and exploits being so out of hand. And the rewards don’t match the effort needed to endure the experience.
They aren't going to do anything. That's why I don't play anymore. Everybody is using hacks controller mods or macros. Nobody has recoil everybody has a pointer finger with unlimited stamina with single fire automatic weapons 😂
Go over to console, get bad/average at the game and play casual! I'm an average/poor player (max plat) on PS4/5 and after playing 17,000 matches over all seasons, about 40% in ranked, cannot remember ever coming across a cheater
Could this be a simple way to ban cheaters in the future? You’re only eligible for ranked split 2 if you have a rank in split 1? It doesn’t affect normal players but could drastically limit the cheaters in the 2nd half of the seasons going forward
I have played since the release of the game and this will be my last season of playing this game. The cheating and micro transactions have absolutely destroyed the game. It's just embarrassing to even say you play apex at this point.
If a game has a cheater problem, then any competitive aspect or rewards are ruined by the fact that there's a cheater problem. No one cares about their rank or rewards because it's not a fair reflection of skill or reward because of the cheating. Great effort Respawn but totally flawed. Total waste of time playing anything competitive in Apex unless you buy cheats.

It really says something about the PC community when the only anti-cheat that works in any game is an intrusive anti-cheat like valorants. If someone told me that riot games would be the first dev team to implement full console-only crossplay with a completely seperate anti-cheat for consoles I would have laughed you out of the room.
Apex cheater problem gets worse every season. This season is worse then last and so on. 5 years with cheater problems. EA doesn't care. It's proveable
Server-side behavior models are the only way to catch cheaters effectively. The server has all the data needed: speed, bullet spread, time to kill, headshot percentage, etc.
They just need an algorithm or maybe a neural network that detects anomalies.
