In terms of Epicness of the death, Whitebeards stands above all else.
that was the epic moment i hv ever seen in anime, back to back 2 epic death
cyberdarkpaul125 he had a disease and still managed to fight an admiral and land a punch and scare the shit out of a future emperor, and when he was about to die he remembers when he was talking to the ex pirate king in raftel, and he screams one piece, that was way more epic than these deaths
Chava Html I wouldn't call it the most epic. It all goes down to everyone's own taste and opinion. For me, it was Ace's, but the most tragic death was Itachi's. They all died because they were protecting someone they loved and died a hero. Itachi was hated for protecting a whole village, was one of the most wanted. He knew people were going to want to kill him and he had a disease keeping him from living a long life. So he got his younger brother to hate him because he chose who hand he wanted to die by. For me that's tragic. Protecting a whole community, not just one person, still being hated, etc.

for me the most emotional thing that happened in one piece was back at marineford, when whitebeard forgive the guy who stab him,because he was tricked by akainu, the way he named that guy his own son and forgive him was amazing
+Chris Pogi Naruto is only emotional if you're below the age of 14 lol, you obviously haven't seen many sad anime. Even One Piece is more emotional than it lol. I've been watching Naruto for nearly 14 years and haven't cried once.

@@AnythingLounge He died standing proudly ,he decided his own death ,and he encouraged the new generations. He also died after fighting multiple Admirals, one hitting a Warlord of the Sea ,and killing thousands of Marines. Is this not epic enough?

The saddest death for me will always be Hughes from FMA. Yea he wouldn't shut up about his family but, to be killed by someone who looks like your wife there can be nothing more horrible. Also his kid yelling at the men to stop burying him cause he had work that he needed to do just... God dammit.

if there is one redeeming part of the way hughes died it was the look on mustangs face when he found out the details of the event.... that was a look that would make zoro and kenpachi zaraki huddle together and cry like little girls.
Syllaren Also if you look at Fury in the scene where they are burying Hughes he's shaking like he's going to cry. Spoilers if you haven't seen FMA but Fury is a homunculus. So why would he be shaking like he's about to cry?

I don't watch Naruto but I really loved how the death of Jirayia, Itachi and Minato&Kushina (also some amazing pictures of their lovestory *-*) were shown so that I consider to start watching/reading it... The editors did a very good job on that and the music was just perfect !! Btw Ace's death was also very well done :')

The death of Pordgas D. Ace was the first time where I had to Cry because of an anime Scene. It was the most emotional moment of this anime and I think I speak for everyone here when I say Ace we will never Forget you. R.I.P
when you made this video did you truly realize how painful it would be to watch, just from the way that the feelings just surface genuinely makes this one of the greatest fan made videos i have ever seen I applaud you and am grateful that someone could make something so heart wrenching and true to the way animes truly are and how they become a part of you even after finishing them, going back and realizing all the same emotions

I'm really happy to finally find a "most epic death anime" video with the death of Okita's sister. Just for this I will put a like.
Ok first of all.. This is a great video. I've seen people's uggly comments and I couldn't help to twitch my mouth in disagreement.. You know, I've seen lots of TOP SADDEST ANIME MOMENTS and stuff and let me tell you something. Although they are really sad, most of them rely on Shoujo and Romance stories (Clannad, Ano Hana, Zero no Tsukaima, Angel Beats, and stuff) which, of course, are really sad. I must add that there are exceptions like from Code Geass... But this is very good material. Shounen Anime and stories that people don't see because they are too long have their own epic deaths you know.
P.D. I only knowthese series by name (except for Clannad and Ga Rei Zero) and my heart came up with a little pain when I saw this vid. Good work. And can I please know the name of the soundtrack that starts at 8:58 (Ga Rei Zero part) Please TwT

I just wanted to write a comment about how awesome the video is, I liked the way you put the way the character dies and especialy the words he was saying in the end. This is probably the best part of watching anime, it gives you an understanding that no matter what are you doing , but every person or thing can become really valueble. Thank you.

Maria Sketch Ace's death wasn't too sad until we got to see the flashback to when he was with luffy and sabo as a kid.IMO. After I saw that and rewatched the death it was more impactful.

when itachi died, a part of naruto anime died also. He was the legend of naruto. He's talent and being powerfull at such age. No not even minato could match his young years with itachi's.
When I read epic I think of an epic battle where one dies. Dying of age, dying of disease is considered actually a disgrace. Dying on your feet, against all odds. That's the epic death once seeks.
But Hiruluk from one piece had an awesome death

Personally, I think Hiruluk's death wasn't a disgrace, he died because of an incurable disease, poisoned by a mushroom and was going to get shot, but his speech about how a man dies was awesome.
Minato kushina jariyah 3 hokage asuma all died right after an epic battle in naruto

The first season also had some emotional moments. I loved the ending to Kotomi's arc. But yeah, no where near as much as After Story.
You know, I personally liked that one but that scene seems to get some flak.

And Gaijin Goomba on one of his videos described it as sort of manipulative, that you don't really care about these characters but the scenery and the music tugs at the right emotional strings. So like parlor tricks.
And considering you don't even remember Fuko's name, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case for you too.
jarvan IV Her name is Fuko (forgot her last name, sorry). Just wanted to let you know. I think they kept the emotional scenes to a minimum, with a few here and there so that we will be prepared for the next season. I don't think that worked bc the feels got heavier and heavier with every episode.

When you learn the truth about Itachi you just realize how incredibly sad his life was and when he took farewell to Sasuke for the last time I just broke down in tears and I felt depressed for a long time after that too... I just can't think of anything else coming close to being as heartbreaking as that moment :'(

Dude... you shouldnt put Most Epic Deaths on the title and only place Emotional and Saddest deaths on the description... i was going to complain to you that Clannad's isn't epic for the death... its the saddest and most hard hitting death on a person that has a heart... I am a guy and i actualy cryed on those scenes... But yeah... not going to complain about it.
Word epic might be the term to explain how EPICLY sad and emotional that death was too. I can't title 15 deaths in different way, so I chose word "epic".
Of course, i understand, which is why i said i wasn't going to complain^^
