Good day sir, so if I am a completely beginner with no degree/diploma IT experience I cannot do the Associate Certifications? I really want to work Cyber Security(Sc-100).
You should follow the Microsoft formula: Fundamentals (SC-900), Associate (AZ-500, SC-300, etc), Architect (SC-100), gaining experience at each step to master the skills.
Hey, so how important do you think it is to do the AZ-900 before the SC-900? Is it possible to just skip the AZ and go straight to the SC? Does the SC cover enough AZ content? I'm starting my first job in cyber security and they are very microsoft focussed. I only have a sec+ cert and it would be nice to know. Thanks!
Different exams, no real overlap. AZ-900 will not do much to prep you for SC-900. I suggest starting with my SC-900 Exam Cram video - ua-cam.com/video/rDxtTM7cOPI/v-deo.html
I want to become an Azure Security Engineer, I already have the AZ-900 and AZ-500, I plan to get my MS-500, would any of these SC certs help me achieve my goal?
Yes. In particular, SC-300 will demonstrate depth in identity and access management on the Microsoft platform, and SC-200 shows that you understand security operations in the modern context.
@@InsideCloudAndSecurity Thank you very much for the response, I have liked and subscribed :) Is there anything that hasn't been mentioned which you would recommend for Azure Security Engineer?
Hi Pete, I am currently an IAM specialist in IT. What do you think about doing AZ 104 or doing AZ SC 300 before doing AZ 500? I dont work as much in Azure but our company does utilize it. I am worried I cannot put the knowledge into use? I completed az 900 recently. Currently studying for the comptia security+. but im not sure about anything now. Any suggestions will be helpful!
Hybrid identity is the most common model in enterprise. SC-300 would be helpful. Security+ is excellent broad knowledge that will serve you well in a variety of scenarios.
Depends on your role focus and desired future direction. All Associate-level exams are deep technical, but SC-300 focuses on identity and access, AZ-500 more broadly on security for Azure infrastructure, apps, and operations, SC-200 focuses on areas for a future Security Analyst working in a SOC, and MS-500 for someone focused on client estate, users, endpoints, and info protection.
No degree required, but any of the associate-level exams (all except SC-900) should help. In absence of experience, the right associate-level certifications matching the role you are applying for can help.
Planning to get this certification next month also I passed the az 900 last week. not sure which to focus for now? should I go to azure path or the security path?
Depends on your interest. If it's cloud, move onto AZ-104 (Azure Administrator). If you want to get into cybersecurity, consider starting with SC-900 and CompTIA Security+

9:40 Do you currently have or will you create any SC-300 IAM Administrator videos? Please let us know. Thanks.
My SC-300 course is coming to a Linked Learning any day now!
There will be a Security Expert cert in April 2022
Indeed. Plan for course development is already coming together. Will share when I have target dates.
Should I get AZ-104 before 500? Just to get that good base of knowledge?
Yes. That is a path I recommend frequently. Serves as a good base of knowledge before you get into AZ 500
Is there any Associate exam without hands-on?
No. All Associate-level exams are deep technical and assume roughly 2 years experience.
Anything for the SC-200?

Welcome!
do i need some other degree in the field prior to those exams and certs ? and are those certs enough to land a job ?

Could you kindly update with SC-100? That would be really helpful? I am curious about that path.
SC-100 did not exist when I made this video, but is the only additional. I will try to update this in the next few weeks for release in Jan 2023.
