Defensive guard. I liked him when he played with Phoenix. Was pretty good with Memphis. Was happy when he joined the Lakers in training camp. Nice
great move. saw him live in south bay and you could tell he was the most impactful player while staying within his role. good be a 3rd guard off the bench or get minutes if someones out

A healthy Christian Wood could really help for 4 to 8 minutes in playoff games when bigs get in foul trouble or need a rest.

C. Wood would definitely help, he has a good offensive game and and can rebound. He just has been injured for over 1 year. We can't have players that don't play and there is still no word on him coming back. @@hahayessir400

Jaden Springer is a defensive guard & is only 22 years old. He's already been waived by Houston after he was traded there by Boston, so he's available now. I would particularly enjoy the idea of the Lakers developing a guy who was dumped by Boston in a salary dump, & turning him into a useful role player who helps LA win...

He actually played well in Memphis and the Suns. A defensive guard. Pretty sure lakers are getting all defensive minded guards or forwards. I do think we need one more defensive forward or guard for insurance. Everyone is saying to wave Wood, but I think Lakers are hopefully he can be back after all star break. If Wood is back, that will open up things for Luka even more.

He’s good around the margins. Does his job efficiently. Doesn’t make many mistakes & isn’t careless with the ball. He’s also high energy.

I like having Jordan Goodwin on a 2-way contract! He’s a good defender to have!
Defensively he chases over screens, switches to multiple ball handlers, uses his quick hands to cause deflections, and does a good job staying with quick ball handlers. Would like to see JJ play a Goodwin, DFS, Vando, Williams line up
Offensively decent shooter. Not super athletic, but can provide a scoring option for the backcourt. I like that he's willing to go get rebounds on offense, create second chance points.
JJ needs to find some minutes for Goodwin.
He may be a good defender, but he’s nowhere close to be being a decent shooter. At least at NBA level. % don’t lie
@@AllMenMustServe How many shot attempts per game? Did those teams have heavy rotation guards? On film he's capable of hitting off dribble penetration and downhill floaters off screens. Not high volume but capable if getting minutes.

Thybulle is not the type of player that gets bought out. He doesn't cause any trouble, not bitter, a good locker room guy, and stays happy🤷♂️

Must be something they’re not seeing with Quincy idk what it could be. Maybe they did this to put Goodwin on Quincy in practice and let him sharpen his skills
they will leave the roster spot open and sign one of the two ways depending on need and fit as the season progresses
If the Pelicans end up waiving Javonte Green he is my target buyout player. Javonte is a very good and versatile defensive guard. Athletic and can shoot at a reasonable clip.

@@kbhuff8 Idk if he will get bought out/waived but I think it's a possibility because he's on an expiring minimum contract (unrestricted free agent this Summer) and is 31 years old on a tanking squad. Because his contract is so small the process would be relatively simple and the Pelicans also might be able to save a very small amount of money.
Should have never let Jay huff go You could literally see his talent when he played in Lakers summer league a 7' guy that runs shoots and tried blocking shots smh

Smart to save the open roster spot to find a better buy-out SG. Wish they got Torrey Craig but Boston snatched him up. Wouldnt be mad at a Dennis Smith Jr pick up. Great athletic Defensive guard but not a good shooter.

Lakers need a defensive specialist to guard 1-2's (since Vando/DFS best guard 3-4's). So presently, on the buyout market, Lakers need Jaden Springer (unless our new center isn't a bruising big, at which point we'll need to convert Trey from a 2-way)...

Gabe serves his purpose as LA needs points from the bench. And he's also more than serviceable from the arc. If he starts we will lose that.
Theis would be a very good addition a backup big for williams or wood (if he’s able to play come playoffs) slide jemison to backup PF. Waived koloko and sign another combo guard.
Getting Jordan was a Good-win obviously on paper. Hopefully, it translates onto the court.

Indeed. I like Rui and AR but it's easier to replace those guys than a 21y Max who gives it all defensively and is gradually improving his offense. Guy is balling 🏀
