IMO, Tank actually shows more of their vocal capacities than O.O. If you tried to sing both songs you would notice. Yes, O.O has way more high notes, but Tank's not so high notes need really good stability, their not vibrato notes like O.O's are, those are stable notes, and those are way harder to execute. Then again, i'm a trained vocalist, so i can notice those details, but i can totally understand why you think the.other way.

Tank should’ve been there debut song! It’s really good! O.O is okay and I get that JYP wanted to experiment , but O.O shouldn’t have been a debut song in my opinion.
Tank is a good song but it's repetitive, I like O.O better because it both showcase their vocals, rap, and dance. Also O.O double concept shows their versatility
It’s the inverted instrumental method! Basically this only works if you have access to the *official* instrumental, you invert the audio for the instrumental first, then you layer it over top of the original track with the original mastering with the original vocals. When you invert the instrumental, basically it negates the instruments and their sounds and leaves the vocals. There’s a couple tutorials online but I’ll link one for you! You can do it other ways and still get an acapella, but usually the inverted method is the only way. The only thing that changes is the access. Some companies (like YG) never really release the actual instrumentals to their releases, especially for BlackPink. So in order to get a somewhat usable acapella, you have to use a filtered instrumental. Which is just the original audio ran through a program in which targets the middle channel (where vocals usually sit in the mix of audio) and isolates the instrumental which is usually panned to the left and right channels. So when you use these filtered instrumentals, it leads to the acapella coming out less clean as well, this is because the programs are not usually perfect and when they take the vocals out they tend to wash out a bit of the mids (most of the louder instruments or synths used in songs) this is why when you hear most filtered instrumentals they sound a bit quiet/different near the chorus (especially in kpop because of how much work the program has to do with the heavily layered voices and multiple stacks of vocal elements that kpop typically uses) Sorry if this was really long! may I ask why both songs sound cloudy? I don't really get it but compared to other songs it seems like the instrumentals are overpowering their vocals to it feels heavy to the ears. maybe it's just me but I really want to know why, nevertheless I liked both songs!
in O.O it’s because the harmonies are too loud and their distinct voices start drowning in all that “noise”. the lead vocal part just isn’t loud enough. in Tank this shouldn’t be a problem. the producer of this song has won a grammy already so yeah he knows what he’s doing. in O.O that’s definitely the case tho
