Mvela...Song is done in Nyanja language spoken in Eastern Zambia and parts of Malawi. The song was originally done by Zambian female artist Lily Tembo who sadly passed in 2009. Its basically a parent emphasizing a child to how precious life is and how it should be treasured. The parent tells the child how the world has grown cold hearted and full of disease and evil so she/he must listen and safeguard their life as it will never be purchased once lost.

This song makes me cry, the plea of a parent that wants you to hear them. Take care of your life, if you spill it, you ll never be able to buy it back. Deep!
This song reminds me of my late friend Lily T, who wrote it and sang it. Rachael was her backing vocalist. We need this message, especially now in Covid 19 days. We cannot buy life but we can take care. Thank you Rachael 💘
@@almiramigo Hi. Thank you for reaching out. Basically, the sing is about a Parent advising their child about not taking life for granted. They are saying you can't buy life and you have to listen to your elders for you to live long.
My generation really needs to be listening to songs like this....nothing but the truth put in a beautiful melody ❤️❤️❤️ I sing this to myself from time time🥺🥺
Can we please 🙏 put some respect on Lily Tembo for this song. 2021 still playing this masterpiece. I salute you Lilly Tembo❤️ Continue resting in peace 😭

Rachael you've really touched my heart with your song, how come I've only come to listen to your voice after all this while. Am sure Lilly T would have loved to listen to this lyric as well. I would love to listen to more of your singing..
You'll appreciate it even more once you get to know the meaning of the song. The song is about a mother who is telling their child to appreciate life, as this world is full of diseases and cold hearted people. You can't buy life. There is no one who will tell you this truth apart from me. Keep your life safe. 2023 and the song still remains relevant.
I just saw one of her songs "I need you" by Marc Anthony and just fell in love with her voice. I'm so happy someone posted her name on that video. God bless you Rachael.
One thing is true that, This music is so deep. I didn't even know what was the meaning but I listened to this song like someone who's knows the signification. Just because you Sang with your heart 💓❤️. The music just bring me a lot of tears. Thank you my sister. God blessed 🙏🙏
The day she died, 14.09.2009, I gave birth to a baby girl and named her Melody to honour her music. Seven years later, I had another girl on the same date, and she sings!! She is the next Lily T, my dear departed friend.
What a beauty, probably even more relevant today than the time it was composed and delivered with such passion, emotion and artistic precision that delivers the message as intended. Perfectly Zambian, preserving our cultural, Christian and traditional values. We knew how to teach our children the right lessons of life at the appropriate time by appropriate counselors; not everything was to be gotten from the classroom. Zambians, have we lost it, really?
The massage is to talk care of yourself because you can't buy life, there's lot of diseases and you need to take care of yourself to live long,it's only you who can keep it for yourself

I love how the emotion in a singer permeates throughout the entire band... Suddenly there is a great connection. A harmony higher than the perfect expression attainable through mere rehearsal. Such a great expression. Bass outro, awesome!!!
