I got some jeans as a gift from Fashion Nova and they smell like moth balls. I’ve tried washing, hanging outside, the smell was nearly gone, but when I wash the clothes again, the smell comes back. It sucks cause it smells almost rotten.
ANd the smell will transfer to the other items you wash with it. I recently bought two used dolls mail order and they smell like moth balls. I tried soaking in a strong baking soda solution overnight and it didn't work. Awful stuff.
