I was born when he was 36 and he was barely into his 40s singing this. He didn’t even make it to his 59th birthday. It broke my heart because he raised me when he didn’t have to (my dad was his only step-kid) but EVERY time I think of him, I think of this song and it makes me feel GOOD.
Today marks the year anniversay of the day my grandmother passed away, and listening to this song brings back so many memories because my auntie(her baby daughter) song this at her Home Going and showed out......
