I am so happy I found your channel and this series of videos - it's exactly what I have been looking for to learn the game of Warcry besides just reading the rule book on my own.
Oh, I thought you meant an update in other comment. Yes, the full series plus campaign play in lots of detail. Loads of videos for how to play warcry already.
Just about to play warcry for the first time tonight and Ive found these videos invaluable! Thanks for all your hard work producing this excellent content!
Really pleased these videos helped. Working on the campaign section at the moment which is an awesome part of the game. Have fun building and painting, there’s a lot of terrain in the box! Thanks so much for watching. 👊
I have only just found your channel and I'm so glad I did , as I have only played some single person games I am finding your Warcry / Catacombs videos really helpful and long may they continue , right better get back to watching more videos 🤘💀💀💀💀💀🤘
Good job. Keep up the great work Lee. I was going to say go in-depth on the cards and how to read them on adding the dice , total. Such as the amount of damage. This was a bit of an issue when I started playing. Such as a triple 4 =12 . or 4 damage.
There might be some changes to note in the 2021 errata at the Warhammer Community site here ... www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/RO4P6Y3Cil21PcV8.pdf ... but otherwise this is still valid for 2022. You don't need to use the updates if you are playing casual games either.
I know it's a skirmish game, but I'd love to see some type of horde mechanics come in at some point. Soulblight leaders and a horde of skeletons would make a great fast pace narrative game. Just some way to have more pieces on the board without elongating playtime too much.
Swarm mode is an awesome feature in skirmish games. We are working on our own Fantasy Skirmish Game at the moment and have included that in it. Due for release June 2024.
I play mostly on my own and find controlling both warbands and switching back and for works great. Im starting a campaign soon, then I’ll be a lot more biased with my Beasts of Chaos warband so we’ll see how that goes. But as long as you play the objectives from each warbands perspective, I think it can easily go either way. I like playing solo, it’s a great way to zone out of normal life for a while 🤣
These are possibly the best How to play videos I've seen. You might consider making a similar series with Age of fantasy: Skirmish from One Page Rules ✌️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Question regarding the range ruler. If you want to make a turn when your fighter is moving. Are you allowed to bend the ruler left or right or must your fighter walk in a straight line forward when moving?
Do you suggest getting the cards? I got the catacombs box (been loving your painting videos to help me with paint ideas!) and found an extra set of the ruins on ebay so I could essentially have the terrain from the original base set. Seems like the cards are the only thing I'm missing.
I’m glad I got the cards, it’s much more fun choosing a card from each pack than rolling for them in the book. The card pack doesn’t come with the terrain cards, though. I managed to find some terrain cards sold separately from the Souldrain Forest but not the original starter set cards yet. I’ll make some trees and use extra terrain pieces so they can be used. Having the extra terrain is awesome and if you are in the UK, you can find the head statue from the original set on the Mortal Realms subscription site and possibly on Forbidden Planet too. I’ve done a separate video for the cards unboxing, but tomorrow I’ll be posting parts 3,4, and 5 of this series. Parts 4 and 5 will feature the cards a lot so this might give you a good idea too. Thanks so much for watching! 👊
@@tabletopskirmishgames Awesome, I grabbed the cards last night. Thanks for all of the great content. Do you have plans for doing painting videos for the other warbands?
Cool! Thanks for watching. You bet, each week I plan to paint a new warband, then do deep dives into their abilities and then play them in battle reports. Once this main rule series is complete, I’ll get started on that. Got 18 warbands here unboxed and built all ready to go - can’t wait! Corvus Cabal (my favourite so far) is waiting to be painted next 🐔👊🔥
I want to play this game, but they just move too fast in everything. It really is hard to enjoy something when it is being thrown at you at lightning speed.
Very helpful vid , I play Kill Team and Titanicus , which have decent starter sets with everything you need to get going , but Warcry ? , there is no current starter set , and in this financial reality , people will not buy a set , then have to find cards , dice , tokens etc , it is just a crappy showing from WG. I love the Warcry models , but until WG offer a starter set that has what is needed in it , it is a pass from me.
Glad it was helpful, Steve, thanks for watching! Since I made the video, GW have released the rules for free now so you can get the core rules and all the fighter cards for every faction on the Warhammer Community site. I've recently played a few games at my club using dice as wound tokens and some models from my Age of Sigmar collection, so I think you could get started without paying out now.
Yes , I shall look for these when I look for the new Space Wolf and combat patrol rules etc for 10th , not sure which Warcry factions to start with , maybe Chaos and Gladiators.
I am so happy I found your channel and this series of videos - it's exactly what I have been looking for to learn the game of Warcry besides just reading the rule book on my own.
So cool to hear, thanks, Chris!
Nice project, We're just getting into WarCry - so a great time for this series. Good Luck with it all.
Thank you for watching, that’s good timing! 👊
Love this, please consider an updated version for 2.0 :)
Wow a warcry focused channel (for the time being of course) I love it!! Thanks!
Thanks for watching! Battle Reports start later this week with Khainite Shadowstalkers vs Scions of the Flame! 😈💀🔥
Also very happy to have found the channel!
Great to see you here, thanks for watching!
This is easily the clearest and most concise explanation of how to play warcry. Thanks for a great video!
Awesome to hear, thanks so much!
Looking forward to your Battle Reports Lee.
It’s going to be fun for sure! Once the rules videos are finished the battles will commence! 🥳
Such a helpful video bud! Great work!
Great to hear, thank you!
Building the suspense with this one.
Lee is a wholesome presenter. I get the impression that you put the friendly in friendly local game store sir
You did cover it! YES! Gonna watch this.

That's so cool, have fun! Great to hear the videos have been helpful; thanks for watching. What warband are you playing?
@@tabletopskirmishgames We have the catacombs set so Im playing the sneaky shadow elves!
Watched your whole series. It was Amazing, thank you. I just picked up the boxed game and this helped me tremendously. Thank you again 👍

Starting to get into WArcry, thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching, hope you enjoy the game!
just ordered my box can't wait to play thanks for making these videos!

Nice to have a step-by-step. I'll be curious how much terrain changes in this new box.
Red Harvest is a great set, some brilliant terrain and extra terrain rules. I've got to add those rules to the playlet soon.
Thanks so much for making this video
You are so welcome, thanks for watching!
Getting into Warcry. Prepping my Darkoath rock band from Red Harvest while listening...thanks for putting out these videos.
Awesome! Warcry is a brilliant game. Have fun getting the band on the road!

Nice one, thank you, I’ll do that for sure. 👊
Just picked up this game thanks heaps for the tutorial, it really helps... Subbed 😉
That’s awesome to hear, thank you! Have fun with the new game, it’s an awesome set.
Thank you for doing this. You rock good sir👍
Thank you for watching! Hope it helps 👊
Starting this series as I wait for my Sundered Fate box to get here. Now I just need to decide which team to paint up and try first!
Yeah some great ones to choose from. The older Warcry warbands still have a lot to offer and bags of characters.
Great video! Is it still update in 2022?

Helpful guide, I'm a necromunda player looking into warcry as a fantasy based alternative.
That’s awesome to hear, thanks for watching! Warcry is brilliant, especially if you like narrative play. 👊
@@tabletopskirmishgames would you recommend warcry as a single player? Controlling both Warband etc?
I play mostly on my own and find controlling both warbands and switching back and for works great. Necromunda is already fantasy. Demons, remember?

Question regarding the range ruler. If you want to make a turn when your fighter is moving. Are you allowed to bend the ruler left or right or must your fighter walk in a straight line forward when moving?
I've always played it that you can bend the ruler.
@@tabletopskirmishgames Cool! is there a limit to how much players are allowed to bend it?
Not that I know of. As long as the base fits along the path, I'm sure it's ok.
@@tabletopskirmishgames Ok, thanks for the help.
Oh and I'm sorry. Great video by the way good sir. Keep up the amazing work.
Thanks so much, Harold! 👊

Do these still have value to learn the game, or have the rules changed a lot for 2nd Ed?
The basics are the same but there are a few updates and the new Reaction rules. They still hold up but I think a refresh cold be in order soon!
I’d love to see a refresh or even a video with just the changes!
Time for the meat and potatoes!
Just served up the 3rd and 4th course from the menu! 🍖🥔🤪
is this series outdated at this point in time?
A lot of it is still relevant but there have been updates.
I want to play this game, but they just move too fast in everything. It really is hard to enjoy something when it is being thrown at you at lightning speed.
I wonder how the frequent box sets will effect the game over the next year?
