Kuya Boy, thank you for this. I cried at the end when she mentioned her children. I just realized that when she decided to leave the business, all she wanted was to be home with her children during the last moments of her life. This conversation has revealed the REAL and TRUE Cherie Gil. She was not just the « great contravida » as most people call her; rather, she was one of the most brilliant actors of her generation. We were all fortunate to be witnesses of this fact. RIP, Ms Cherie Gil, and thank you for allowing us to be part of your beautiful life!

Ms. Cherie Gil I really miss those days we've been working together with the noontime show ITO YUN ANG GALING aired over ptv4 just b4 the 1st edsa revolution happened. I can still remember fetching you at your place Valle Verde 6 for us to be going to the set together...I still remember we always pass by those stores along timog Avenue to buy Marlboro blue Military... I really miss u Ms. Cherie same goes to ur Mom Tita Rose and your brother the late Mark Gil. I still even remember paying u a visit every Sunday bringing you the script for the whole weeks taping. God bless u always. I'm really grateful to the Lord that our paths crossed.
