I did something like this on a 235 yd par 3. Hooked the tee shot badly and thought it might be lost, so just decided to hit a provisional. Sank the provisional. Didn’t even bother looking for the first ball.
You are not allowed to play a ball from the wrong green, so in this case MacIntyre gets a free drop at the nearest full relief off the green that is not closer to the hole.
Aye right as us Scots would say, he's that good he was over a wall on the wrong green........ fekkin pish shot, hope he replaced the divot out of the green
you didn't notice that the ball was in the middle of the green, but, when he chipped, he was right next to the wall? He obviously dropped off the green. Also, he didn't even take a divot
(Par 5) I once sliced a shot so bad it hit a tree 50 yarsds off the hole and bounced back onto the fairway, then proceeded to slice my next shot again only to find it in this small little opening before going out of bounds, i then hit a god shot to get me out of where i was, then pitched it onto the green and sunk a 15 footer to save par
That chip was incredibly difficult, off a green, over the wall onto a downslope. He had to carry an exact distance with perfect contact to get the stopping power. Didn't even damage the green.
@@aidangriffiths5075 a low handicap with a decent short game would not fear that shot. The green is a perfect lie, if you understand how to utilise the bounce. Wide open face, shallow through impact, and that wall isn't even in the equation. At his level that shot is not high tariff, but he played it well.
Try Fred Couples, 1st shot in the water, retees, same club, goes straight into the cup. Nice par.
First one that came to mind.
Bryson DeChambeau at the Masters yoo
Too

@@Pseudifywow almost exactly the same! 😂
Dunno about that, Fred couples holing out for 3 on the 17th at sawgrass.... for example
Not even the most ridiculous this month.
Just the way I planned it.
Course looks immaculate
I’d be way too nervous to hit a wedge off a green lol
Long live British announcers
The ball was in a different place because it was in the open but when he takes the shot the ball is closer to the wall

Miguel Jiménez off the wall at 17th at St. Andrew’s was better. But this is still great.

my kind of par
Doesn't look like he damaged the green either
because he had forced free relief out of it. You are not allowed to play off a wrong green.
@@tigerman1978 I thought it looked like he played it from nearer to the wall
Around the green? You mean on the green?
Not even close

That's 6 shots isn't it? With a drop
You mean a 20 yd lob wedge off of a tight surface. Not an all time par save AT ALL
That wasn't a ridiculous par save.
Pulled one left, perfect lie for the chip and got it within 10 feet.

@@_Rustodianagree. Level of difficulty 1.5 out of 10.
@@aidangriffiths5075He didn’t play it off the green. You get free relief from a green. He played it from the fringe.
@@_Rustodianif you understood anything about the game, you’d realise you can’t play a shot from a wrong green.
Why is no one talking about the bots
I play better recovery shots all the time from the rubbish iv driven it in😂
Pretty easy chip. Why is it ridiculous?
How come he didn’t have to chip where ball first ended up? Not that impressive from uphill lie on fringe
Because you may not play a shot from a wrong green. Free relief must be taken to the nearest point of complete relief, not nearer the correct hole.
This is impressive?
It's a basic up and down, not really that impressive
Ah the infamous cheat that stole the Scottish open.
Macincheater
You still bubbling about it? Away and lie down ffs
Haha, you plonker!
people can get good or bad breaks in golf tf u mean?
