Haha yes we have about 250 pheasants here for a little shoot in the winter, think we may have to cancel this year though :( Glad you like the piece it was fun to turn!
nice piece you did again its amazing to see you working on the lathe. Thanks to let us see your nice video . By the way I am looking you from canada quebec city. Hopping for the next video, have a good day
Thanks mate, the lathe only spins 1 direction, over the bed it spins anticlockwise as normal, but on the back end, where I turn the big stuff, it spins clockwise as you look at it! We have 3 Ford's, a 6 cylinder major, and a New Holland!
Wow! I think I need a bigger lathe lmao!!! 😉 That’s a beautiful piece of land! I wish my place was bigger so I could do my hunting stuff on my own land and be farther away from neighbours I got pretty good ones forsure but they don’t like me shooting my guns in the backyard lmao!
Yes I am very lucky to live where I live, it's a pretty little corner of England. I think I might be stretching this lathe to the limits with pieces like this, I guess I could put 20 inches of oak on it and see how it gets on 😂
Now that is a beautiful piece of wood Will I love to turn Sycamore myself but nothing nowhere near as large as that, some good skills mate it looked great cracking when you had finished. Which part of the country are you from ?
That is huge! Do you use a 5/8 gouge at all, or just find its not needed? Have you sold a lot at the weekly markets? I don't see a heating unit so doesn't it get cold in the barn? Thank you again for doing these great videos!!
Hi Rex :) i just use the 1 decent gouge i have, it does me fine for most jobs! I sold a lot in the pub before christmas before i quit drinking lol No there is no heating, and no insulation, its basically like being outside! so yes it is very cold most of the time in there, i'm looking forward to summer time :D
Big, beautiful, impressive piece, Will! Enjoyed the ride around the farm, too. Were those pheasants we saw? Yummm! Great job, buddy!
