I wish these were called what they are. Fairy Tale Land. Or, Fantasy Faire. I say this because none of this is historically accurate, much less based in reality or time period its claiming to take place in.
This is basically the Disney interpretation of the renaissance time period. It's why I don't go to them.
I'm a history nerd and these "ren faires" make me cringe. The thing is, as long as you're having fun, my opinion don't matter.
