I've been watching crimewatch to prevent myself from falling into scams, doing crimes and other illegal activities. I cannot imagine myself being in jail and disappoint my loved ones. Been watching since 1999 and i've learned so much from this show.

I also thought so esp when asked if he has other drugs. Even if he didn’t confess, officers would still search his house so might as well confess first. If not, the charges may be even more serious for lying.
There is basically no right to silence in Singapore, and you’re only allowed to see your lawyer AFTER the police have interrogated you. So yeah, with that kind of legal system I imagine confessions are pretty frequent.
It probably also helps the police that many Singaporeans - even those who take drugs - are enculturated from birth to respect authority.
My main reasons for watching Crimewatch every month since this year without fail are...
1) to see the beautiful deejay who hosts the Scam Alert segment. Yes that's Hazelle Teo from YES 933 FM 🥰😍💗
2) to look out for any surprise casting in the show.
3) to learn more about how the criminals are caught.
I actually watch Crimewatch regularly since 2018.

Kaedon Wong was convicted of drug possession and sentenced to 18 months imprisonment.
Julian Ho was convicted of drug possession and drug trafficking, he was sentenced to 30 months imprisonment and 3 strokes of can.
Both men were sentenced to 20 months of imprisonment for drug possession, drug trafficking, and repeat drug consumption.

Nowadays, scammers tactics are already improved, unlike before, they’re impersonationg officials or delivery services related scams that older trucks are already obsoleted. You know what scammers had improved, they begun to act like professional and already well prepared to minimise their chance to expose their tactics. They will tricked you to sign the agreement or agreement looked like it’s lawfully true. Scammers then have the product which is completely wrong and pretended to be exchange the correct one and request one time passcode. Other worst case scenario is scammers will tricked you by sending court summons by threatening you to make payment by achieving their scamming purposes. This is happening in UK, when a victims attend the court hearing, scammers pretended to felt uncomfortable to not attended in court hearing. So the judge decided not to proceed whether the case is found guilty or not. Be vigilant when scammers will use court summons tactics to threatening you and trick you to fall into criminal convictions after the judge made you a record.

The acting has improved alot compared to robotic acting long time ago.
Last time they used actual police officers or volunteers drawn from the police force. Now for the "main" roles they hire actors. Uniform officers and background non-speaking roles are still drawn from the police force though.
