Can a duck down sleeping bag that costs just £99 be good? I got sent the Qezer down mummy sleeping bag to try and I was surprised by one thing.

Not a bad bag for the money, got sent one as well, not the lightest but I'd even use it in winter, nice warm bag👍
Saw your review Colin, yes totally agree 👍
I'm happy to hear your review, I was able to get it on a Black Friday sale for $99 USD and purchased them for my two kids who are in Scouts and needing something nicer for colder months and have been wondering how it would fair with my kids now that they received them on Christmas.
Travel light freeze at night!🥶 I always found that if you go in any sleeping bag cold, you will be cold. I normally use a RAB neutrino 600 for cold but managed to get a Mountain warehouse extreme lightweight down for 'better conditions' down south for £60 and I cant knock it!👍 Good to see more affordable bags out there. 😉
Looks interesting, I have been looking for a low cost down bag for a while. Amazon have it at £80 at the moment……ordered one for my motorcycle camping trips. Thanks
Hi Andrew, Just some info.. I bought the Decathlon bag for my son last year for £139 (I think you said you paid £129). However it is now £159, so a £70 difference between the 2 bags after the discount is applied.
Damn inflation !😃
@AndrewParkOutdoors All these UA-camrs giving it a good review! #influencer
Interesting However, you know your getting a quality bag if you pick the Decathlon. But good video matey
I just ordered this bag from Amazon for 80 pound it was 10 percent off from 89 just thought I'd give it a go it has the same specification as my oex leviathan 900 but half the price it's a shame the weather is getting warmer so will have to test later this year 😂
and a lot wetter ( or so it seems ) :-)
looks good. thank for shareing
The question is when are you likely to use it ?
Summer, Autumn , definitely don't think it would do for winter
almost £119 now on amazon
Down is good if you can afford it, but no point unless you willing to pay about £500 to get the best quality, I don't have a spare £500 so I'll stick to my British army arctic sleeping bag until such a time I can afford to buy a down sleeping bag, I've never had a bad nights sleep in one.
weight mate
i bought a 500 gram bag which is minus 6 c for £250 from the states
if you're happy carrying the /bomb/ (4kg) fair enough but Andrew just showed you a decent alternative
there is a middle way..
Looks a decent bag for the money but at that price point you've got to ask yourself about the welfare of the birds? 🤔
Yep, moral choice, I agree
read my reply..
13°C?
So if this is rated at 0c comfort does that mean the comfort is actually -5c?
that'll be the extreme temp i would imagine. A
@@AndrewParkOutdoors oh I mean because you said it’s probably 5c warmer than it’s rated for, so doesn’t that mean the comfort is actually -5c because it’s gives like +5c warmth?
Have to say, at that price, if it's not RDS certified, then you can probably say with reasonable certainty it's not ethically made, so a hard pass from me. Would rather either save up or use synthetic than risk a product which could involve live plucking of birds etc. Thanks for the video though.
It is certified
@@davidmann250 thanks David, I see they have put a sticker up on the Amazon Website to say the bag is RDS certified, but unable to see any mention of RDS Certification on their own website or the company on the list from RDS themselves of certified companies. It may be that Qezer isn't the actual name of the company, which makes finding them difficult, but I would still be doubtful.

There's this video on them I found, they seem legit, plenty of awards
There's another company called Newdoar, maybe their a part of that
Where are they made ,nobody seems to know
China somewhere from memory. A
Do you think this would be a good tent for the West Highland Way in October. I’m currently using the OEX Leviathan 900 and I was freezing in April.
Bag Derek ? Yes I think it would easily be warm enough.
@@AndrewParkOutdoors hahaha yep, bag. You know what it’s like when you’re caught up looking at camping gear. You can easily get your heed into a kerfuffle. Thanks for the reply Andrew.
