Hello, lovely looking siren. I've just bought a Federal Model 76-A siren and was wondering if you could tell me how you wired it? Is it a negative chassis? Many thanks
Sounds very good. Looks good also. When I hear a dual tome I think 1968 and older fire rig department vehicle, police- law enforcement vehile or old ambulance. Seems like in tv shows and movies after abut 1968 or 1970 this type of siren is not as common. I still like the sound of them but I am not yet 40 years ld so the Federal Signal single tone q2b's are what I am used to hearing more of. Thanks for sharing your video.
NIce! Place camcorder farther away and zoom in. Sound is too much for the microphone. (If my siren, I would cut out the ribs which keep fingers out of the stator ports.)
Love that sound...that thing is screaming!

So that's how those old sirens work. Fan operated.

what port is this
They have full-size air raid sirens with this 2nd interval in Portugal.
Wonderful. Creates a low penetrating resultant tone.
Better than a Q siren?
What is difference between Model 76 and Model 77?
Thank you.
Model 76 is painted for under-hood mounting, 77 is chrome and has a rear cone for outside mounting.
I have a question, how did you get the chopper out cause have one a 76-B.
There are several of them on UA-cam. Siren is "sirene" in Portuguese.
German too
France too
For sale?
No it was only available in 12v
know anyone that can record those portugal sirens?
Is it one rotor with offset stator rows, or two different port ratios?
It's an 8/9 port siren
Sure it’s not 15/16 port?
15/16 is high pitched
Fire truck siren. Reeeeemm!
Wow duel tone siren neat scarry ghost noise
What’s the port ratio?
WolfDogFilms, kinda looks like 8/10
kinda sounds like 15/20
My best guess is 16/15 port
It is not, look at the siren
8-9 is my guess
