CLAVE & SONS • 8--10 Players
Clave & Sons is an introduction to Afro-Cuban music and percussion instruments. Students have fun while learning how to groove with standard Latin rhythm section parts.
"Beyond Basic Percussion" is now available from Tapspace at www.tapspace.com.
Lowkey hella impressive how kids that young keep the rhythm so well.
Yeah honestly. I wish I could have done this shit at their age...or at least was given the opportunity to learn lol
This is why I love being a percussionist because of the wide range of sounds. This sounds like a spanish love song, it's amazing
Wow!!!!! If I closed my eyes, I would never have dreamt this amazing piece was from such extraordinarily talented young adults. Keep it up. Music can transform lives, and is the best cure for depression. Way to go! :)
Wow! So clean and a beautiful tone from each instrument. These kids are amazing
Excellent !!! Bravo !!! Encore !!! 10 year Anniversary !!!

@lmh1960 Hi! Glad you like the piece. It's been getting a lot of great reviews! The xylophone sheet music comes included with the BEYOND BASIC PERCUSSION collection on the Tapspace website. If you're unable to purchase it, be sure to tell your teacher about it and hopefully they can pick it up!
My percussion class is playing this. It is one of the best ensembles I've ever heard. You guys did an awesome job. Wish i could see the timpani more though, because that is what I play :)

Definitely had us all reeled in near the start considering the thought and effort that went into it was immacculate, i was exsorbanently dissapointed when the 'effort' met an end at 0:52.
My band was going to play this but it was to hard for everyone except me and I had the xylophone part so I’m going to continue learning it wish me luck

this is an ad for a travel agency
If people understood how important sound, frequency and vibration was in the old world, music wouldn't be taken out of schools. Nikolai Tesla was trying to show us, now he wasn't a musician granted, but he understood the importance of music, sound, vibration, resonance. This is why all his work was taken by the FBI. TARTARIA! Just look to famous PPP in the past, many had many, many accomplishments under their belts at a very young age, more than just coincidence

Great music but how about some colorful clothes, more smiles and a little bit more movement on the hips! Are they instructed by adults to be "proper" or something?
anyone in 2024?
This kinda sounded boring compared to the way we played it because we made a lot of changes and we had a good time
