1: can get rechargeable AAA batteries with the mod to even the cost down the road. 2: shape is king, and this shape makes it the best shape for a mouse on the market, surpassing the gpro x with even better performance for still way less than the cost of a gpx2. 3: razer owns the market no debate whatsoever. That should be the review, since people really daft enough to complain about this mouse and never used it nor have the mental capability to understand common sense of tech vs pricing. Great review!
I don't understand the battery decision (maybe it adds roo much cost ?) But everything else looks great Will wait for Viper V3 pro for the lighter weight + inbuilt battery
It's funny because for the longest the 2 things I nitpicked about the Viper seems to have been addressed. 1. It being too flat 2. The wheel being too imbedded into the mouse. And NOW they made what I was hoping for.😂
I had the Razer Orochi which has a similar sensor placement and it was amazing as far as gameplay. I feel the mouse reacted 10% quicker then most conventional mice. I believe Razer ought to do the same with their future line.
I feel like this is Razer's way of introducing the new claw grip shape. Hopefully they release this in the pro line too and possibly a mini that could dethrone the viper mini shape for me
IMPORTANT PSA: Regards the battery situation - on Synapse there's an option under the Power tab, where you can select the type of battery so the status of it can be correctly reported.
Hopefully they port the shape to the Pro lineup, idk about a regular battery and that weight. Probably stick to my GPX for now. Edit: You kind of sold me on this for now, ngl
I'd like to see a size/shape comparison with this vs the DeathAdder V3 Pro. The Viper V3 looks really similar to it to me (just going on my memory of what the DAV3 looks like, I don't have one in person yet). The only difference I can see is that the DAV3 has that more laterally-angled ergo shape vs the "flat" ambi shape of the Viper. The Viper V3 is like half the price too.
Agreed with your points BT! I like how they really refined the front buttons and really cleaned up the look. Looks way more professional. Also, whats up brotha!
Does the grip width feel thinner ? I have a mould of the XE and the only thing preventing me buying it is that it feels a tad too wide where my thumb sits
The shape is what saved this mouse for me. Even with the Lithium AA, the mouse feels lighter than 74grams. It also helps that the skates feel buttery smooth on my MPC450. I will be switching to rechargeable batteries after I use up my 2 pack of Lithium AA’s i got for $5.79 @ Target.
Is there a wired version of this mouse or something very similar that is both wired and lightweight? Love the shape but it’s a little too heavy. Will the Razer viper V3 Pro be more ideal?
Aight, bet, looks good... But imma hold off until I see the Logitech G Pro x Superlight 2 cos... USB C and if it still has that puck to switch it for wireless charger dock... With better sensor and maybe *fingers crossed* hotswappable switches. Those are the only two things changes and retained feature I wish to god they keep and bring... Please Asus, drop that patent already, I want hotswap switches on mice for the reparability and modularity.
Personally I'm a palm/slight hybrid between palm and fingertip user and a lover of ergo deathadder/g703, does this come close to the deathadder v3 in terms of shape? Because I ain't buying the deathadder v3 pro due to the poor build quality, at that point I prefer the wired v3 lol
I'm still waiting for a design that essentially rotates the mouse shape 45 degrees toward my center, so the shape is emphasized from my pinky toward my thumb when my palms are face down.
It’s probably your pc man. I don’t get all these comments saying softwares from Razer is this and that, especially on Radeon’s softwares and drivers. I never had issues with their softwares. In the past I had issues with Logi Hub but that’s just a couple of times. I downloaded and uninstalled, fixed everything.
Quick question I have the superglide v1 mousescates and a cray pad aqua control 2 and idk if it’s me or what but the skates slowed down a lot and the mouse pad feels ruined there are some slow spot although they only appear to be noticed only on the super glides is there a fix ?
I was going to get pissed that this doesn't have a built in battery, but it's not the pro line. Still bullshit, but the reasons make sense. The shape looks great tho, going to wait on a V3 Pro release to see how it pans out.
complete hit to the pockets of logitech for real they literally pulled up to the function saying "no 4k yet, we have had that and now we did it with a battery operated mouse, you cant even do it wireless"
Great review and a fantastic mouse! However, I recommend using Eneloop rechargeable batteries instead of disposable AA batteries. They're better for your wallet and the planet. Cheers!
i dont like super super light mice , so i actually perfer the weight of this one, just got it and used it and i love the shape its up there with my g pro superlight 2 in terms of comfortable grip , and you cant beat the price
aye, what are your guy's thoughts? i need a mouse that fits my big ass hands for palm grip, and i need it to have an adjustable debounce time, don't really care about shape as long as its comfortable for big hands, what should i be looking at
It comes down to preference bro. I have tried a lot of gaming mice but for me the best is Viper Ultimate. I’ve tried the G Pros, Deathadders, Pulsars, etc. I got the V3 Hyperspeed today and it feels great. I got big hands too and I use a palm grip that sometimes switches up to a semi claw grip. Both feel great. The Viper lineup has been the most comfortable shape I’ve used.
Maybe they're lowering the price because the newer influx of mice from China that supports 4k and being priced $40-$50 with very VERY similar performance.
*1 correction. The switches are the gen 2 mechanical switches. Not the optical gen 3.
lol
What's the difference?
Mech Gen 2 have higher click latency otherwise it’s just the usual mech VS optical in terms of feel&sound
so same as orochi?
its razer gm 4.0 switches. a bit stiffer side

Just wish they'd of gone with a further back hump like the xm2. XM2we is similar price and far better shape imo. Mid hump ain't it for big hands.
It's funny because for the longest the 2 things I nitpicked about the Viper seems to have been addressed.
1. It being too flat
2. The wheel being too imbedded into the mouse.
And NOW they made what I was hoping for.😂
For me there was a no 3.:
The front flares ARE TOO DAMN AGGRESSIVE and this seems to have resolved it for me!
@@aidenfrost10 Yeah, I can agree with that. I haven't been the biggest fan of it either, especially on the older DeathAdder models.
As a budget mouse enjoyer, double AA battery advocate, G305 and Orochi V2 owner, this is an absolute win!!!
I have also 305 and Orochi . Do u think I will like the shape of this ?
I had the Razer Orochi which has a similar sensor placement and it was amazing as far as gameplay. I feel the mouse reacted 10% quicker then most conventional mice. I believe Razer ought to do the same with their future line.
Wich one u recommend, This one or the orochi?
I feel like this is Razer's way of introducing the new claw grip shape. Hopefully they release this in the pro line too and possibly a mini that could dethrone the viper mini shape for me
seems like a great deal for this with the 4k dongle, best wireless on the market, and the weight isnt that bad if you like the shape.
IMPORTANT PSA:

I do have a 4K dongle…
the fact they are giving you 4k at $70 sounds pretty good
You have to buy adapter for 4k Hz
Yes you have to also keep in mind razer viper v2 is $140 without adapter. So to have the options to want 4k at $70 is pretty decent
Mine is coming in tomorrow! Excited to try it out since it seems like they changed exactly what i wanted from the Viper V2 Pro
i would love a shape like this with a bit more back support so it fits very well into my palm. suggestions?
If you want it in similar size, my guess is Lamzu Atlantis, Endgame XM2WE or Pulsar X2V2
G pro superlight is similar with a little more back support. If you want a lot of back support, Zowie za13/12 would fit the bill(not wireless yet).
Thank you@@SwSAS1786
I honestly feel like you might like this if you have it a chance. If not check out the Lamzu atlantis

Hated how low the hump was on v2. V3 looks to be more comfortable because of the hump is raised.

I have this one and for the shape it feels like a slim down version of the Vaxee XE
Does the grip width feel thinner ? I have a mould of the XE and the only thing preventing me buying it is that it feels a tad too wide where my thumb sits

I hope they make a wired version that’s lighter and has the same shape
I'm still using Razer Viper 8Khz V1 and run it at 4K, it's a bloody charm
Would you honestly use this over something that weights less even with the new shape being very good?
Hey Maxim, always fun to see your favorite youtubers in random comment sections
Oh hey there mrmaxim nice seeing you here😊
I can see the Viper V3 Pro being the best mouse of the year if it comes out
No doubt. I’m actually really loving it with the Lithium AA @ 74 grams.
I’m gonna be the real friend and tell you. Let the “beard” go. 😂Great review as always.
Thanks twin LOL
you remind me of an old friend from xbox 360 days. Love your content.
Is there a wired version of this mouse or something very similar that is both wired and lightweight? Love the shape but it’s a little too heavy. Will the Razer viper V3 Pro be more ideal?
they are gen 2 switches not gen 3 switches. They're using an old switch versus the newer cobra
Yep posted a pin above
@@BTaesthetics it's S tier but since it doesn't come in white it goes down to A tier

The superlight 2 already dropped and it has no hot swap switches

I'm still waiting for a design that essentially rotates the mouse shape 45 degrees toward my center, so the shape is emphasized from my pinky toward my thumb when my palms are face down.
You can try holding the mouse rotated towards your centre and correct the sensor position by using raw accel if you didn’t know that was an option
@@yeetspageet5679 never heard of that. I'll definitely look into it!
any other colors in the works? been excited for this since the leak on ebay a couple months back!
I just got the viper v2 pro and i see this on my recommended..
This shape >>> v2 pro
Same… don’t think we’re losing out too much. V2 pro is lighter
I’ll hold out for the V3 Pro. Hopefully they keep the shape. The Superlight 2 was a disappointment.
shit shape. i traded for viper v2 pro for that shape
after using a 50 grams mouse, a mouse of over 70 grams seems to me a stone.....
Biggest problem with Razer is their software, wish they had a solution like Wooting which requires no software to be installed.
It’s not even that bad, you must have a bad pc
It has onboard memory download and setup your mouse then delete the software.

Hey Brandon , currently I'm using a glorious model 0 wireless for a shape reference but am interested in a new mouse , any recommendations ?
Check Eloshapes. Closest to the shape is the Viper V2 Pro.
This mouse or try one of the new lamzu atlantis 4k mice

Don't buy batteries, get rechargeable aaa lithium
They giving away rechargeable aaa lithium batteries?
@@knavishknack7443 no, you buy them
They already have the viper mini. It's under the name of Cobra.
MKBHD vibes
How does it compare to Orochi v2 shape wise?
So the sides aren't slanted like the V2 Pro?
Still are But less than the v2
I'm using a 55 grams mouse now, a 70 grams mouse feels like a brick now let alone 80 grams.
Tbf, that's relative. My current mouse is around 89g and if I go lighter I might accidentally sling my arm into a wall.
1. Make it aaa compatible
2. Put the sensor in the middle
3. Make it smaller
Is the scroll wheel optical or mechanical?
Does it have Bluetooth like the orochi v2 pro?
It's using RAZER™ MECHANICAL MOUSE SWITCHES GEN-2 not 3.
Is it easy to pair to the 4k dongle?
how is the scroll click? spammable or no?
why i saw this model looks like g pro wireless from the side
Do we know the pro version is actually a thing or are you just guessing?
:)
Better than lamzu Atlantis mini?
Better than viper ultimate?
It looks like the Asus Tuf Gaming M4 Wireless, or at least that's what I think. :)
Did they fix the lod
Switches are gen 2 not gen 3
How long is the battery life with 4khz vs 1khz ?
As per Razer’s site, using full 4000hz polling rate, you get 75hrs
the battery link didn't work?
A DPI button at the top! YES SIR!!!!!!!
This shape reminds me of the OG model O
It really looks like a good mouse despite the position of the sensor..
v3 pro deathadder coating is bad. Textured coating is always bad should have stuck with the faker edition coating.
Razer had me all the way until you said “battery powered”
Never using a 2023 mouse with an battery. That's a hard NO.
hear me out...v3 top shell with v2 pro base and internals
Being 4k compatible and all is good but the amount of batteries you will have to burn to have this mouse running all the time it just makes it awful
That’s why rechargeable Lithium AA’s and AAA’s exist. The Bump brand is my go to.
We need far more mice with removable batteries like this one!
wtf are they doing with their mice weight tho
They shouldve just make the v2 pro with rgb, 50 grams and add a little bit hump on the back. That would be a killer for the g pro superlight 2
and a charging dock for sure
Let them make it WIRED, otherwise we don't buy it, always wired, never wired, it emits too much electromagnetic radiation. Make it wired
The loud clicks turn me offf..... ugh
wow. not used to you looking so slim 😂
Lmao thanks Sam!
Crazy acting like this mouse is great for palm grip and saying it's good for large hands lol. Large hands getting relaxed palms at best on this thing.
they ruined the shape that made viper iconic...
ViperAdder V3 Hyperspeed nice shape.
I always though Razer's Hyperspeed lineup was supposed to be in the $60 range. That's pretty (shocking) that they priced this one at $70.
Yeah I thought so too, but with it having the top of the line sensor and 4k capability? I think it’s justifiable. Especially if people love the shape.
Pass on this for sure.
If only they could give up on the stupid software
The weight has 100% killed this for me. I was so hyped. What a shame. Should have been 60g
Got to make sure they segment the market so they can still charge 150 bucks for the V3 pro
Missed a 69 *nice* opportunity
now make a mercury one razer
82g :(
This or the orochi
Seeing batteries in mice in 2023 just makes me cringe 😬
i hate it too but i'll deal with it for now haha
weight 😭
Maybe they're lowering the price because the newer influx of mice from China that supports 4k and being priced $40-$50 with very VERY similar performance.
Removable batteries in 2023 is disgusting.
lol no way im buying this,,, razer has let me down.. no more for me
this is literally the deathadder office edition
L response
L product.
This literally has gen two mechanicals not fucking opticals 😂
why they making it look so urgly ...compare to v2
Looks more plain for sure
