Cath, i think we would be friends if we randomly met in real life. Gardening love, tea, yummy food, books, nerdyness and cats. That is my life right there. Yours is much more aesthetic though. Mine is a bit of a jumbled mess 😂 Thank you for quietly and wonderfully sharing little glimpses into your besutiful world.
wouldn’t that be so lovely!! haha i’m so glad you enjoy pretty much the same things 🥰 i *try* to make things look aesthetic, though it’s definitely not always pretty 😂 it’s my pleasure to be sharing these videos :’) i really appreciate your support 🤍🤍
I love how your videos are not only aesthetic but interesting! It’s hard to find an aesthetic video that isn’t like everyone else’s that I feel like I’ve already watched a hundred times. I love your passions and hobbies! I never really see anyone on UA-cam that is devoted to more than hobby like you are, and I love that so much, I aspire to be like you 🩷🩷🩷.
oh thank you so much! 🥹 it’s great to be able to share my passions and hobbies with people online, i don’t really have friends who share similar interests 😅 you are way too kind, thank you so incredibly much 😭🤍🤍🤍
I absolutely love the relationship you have with your sister! I'm so envious of it! I have 3 brothers that I love very much, but they aren't into the same hobbies as me, so it's really nice to see your shared love of reading! Also, I was OBSESSED with Rainbow Magic when I was younger, so this is really making me want to repurchase some of the books :))
Thank you, you've just made my entire week, a stressful one at that. Glad I was able to enjoy your video after taking 3 exams, makes this sweet treat, that much sweeter. Your cats made me so happy.
oh i am so happy to hear that! congrats on finishing a busy week, i hope you get some time to rest now 🥰 my cats are such moodmakers. i’m glad they made you happy 🤍🤍
I love this practice of taking notes in books. Usually, I donate my books, but I started to write on Post-its and paste them on the pages. It’s not the same, but it works well for me. Thanks for the inspiration. I love your videos ❤🖤
your videos make me want to have a sister with similar interests 🥺 I have a brother 4 years younger but as soon as he grew up, his interests became gym, politics and cripto while I'm here being a book lover that just wants to cuddle with cats, watch cozy cartoons and bake desserts 😂 loving your videos!!
These vlogs are so beautiful and peaceful to the point that it helped me become inspired to start writing again and now I'm on chapter five of a new book I just sat down and started to randomly write one day! Keep at it!!!
The youtube algorithm led me here! And im genuinely so grateful. This is everything i love in video form 🥺💜💜 i also love your cats, they're so darn cute
I can’t bring myself to “destroy” books by marking them all up. Especially, if I truly love the book and want to pass it on to my friends and family. I want them to be able to enjoy the book without the added distraction that annotating adds to a book in my opinion. Plus, annotating reminds me of being in school with homework, which I hated. I personally enjoy reading for enjoyment and just knowledge. But to each their own and you clearly find true peace and pleasure in annotating books which is amazing. Great video as always.
totally understand all your points here! i have the same exact experience as you, with having to annotate for school + even having to save up for new books at some point because they were so expensive, so i was VERY deterred by annotating! but i slowly grew out of it. the first time i lended out an annotated book was to my cousin, and she loved reading my annotations (she sent photos of them to me and told me she enjoyed the book even more with my annotations in them because she found them relatable and hilarious!). totally understand that it can be a distraction but you never really know how great annotating for fun is if you never really try! ☺️ thank you so much for the support 🤍🤍
I use highlighter tape & sticky notes! Then, if I want to remove ‘past me’ annotations, I can. No damage to the book, and I find annotation makes for a richer, more immersive experience of a good book. And I take a guilty pleasure out of expressing my exasperation with poor writing. 😏
oh i’m so happy to hear that 🤍 gardening brings me so much joy, so glad you’re enjoying the content and that it’s inspiring you 🥰 i hope you have a lovely week too 🤍🤍
It's refreshing to find people enjoying the same things as us 😊 I have a hack I used to apply when impatiently waiting for tomatoes to rippen, just place some banana peels near the green tomatoes and they'll miraculously turn red in a few days thanks to the extra ethylene released by the banana!
I was thinking that same thing as she was making tea!. I watch a lot of Korean silent vlogs and am always so comforted to know they are planting the same plants as I am. Many even share my zone so they have a similar schedule as my garden.
i’m glad you can relate to the things i do in the vlog hehe 🥹🤍 it means a lot to me 🤍 oooh i’ve seen that hack around and been meaning to try!! thank you for the tip 🥰
So relaxing as usual! These videos always come out at the perfect time for me~ Thank you for another wonderful vlog, they inspire me so much! (I also annotate with the same highlighters and pens lol, some good quality for sure)
I would love it if you could make a video explaining your annotating process :) I've been wondering a few things, such as, do you read the entire book before beginning annotating? hello! you are so kind, thank you 🥺🤍 i’ll definitely be creating a whole guide on annotating soon :) i’m so happy to hear that you’d like to learn! thank you for the kind support 🥰🥰
ahhh i first discovered them back when i was studying in singapore during primary school! it was sooo big back then and definitely brings so much nostalgia 🥹 i’m glad you felt the same way!! 🤍 my sister’s book collection is goaaals - she recommends the audiobook of lord of the rings :) our worlds are so small indeed :’))
Your video popped up in my recommended this morning. I’m stuck at home with Covid. I had to stay to see Prince’s face. He looks just like my Wilson did. Give him a hug from me. I had to put Wilson to sleep last March due to lung cancer.
Yrs we'd love a giveaway! The crayon highlighter looks so cool! Your footage is always so relaxing. I'm winding yarn to crochet while watching. Tis the season to be cozy! Happy Fall Cath!
I’m sure she will have some tips for you. I would say a good tip would be to start small. Container gardening is a great start. We just moved and I had to leave our big cottage garden. Now that we are in a rental I have three raised beds and lots of containers.
honestly i was inspired by lots of people on social media 🥰 as mentioned by the lovely comment before me, containers are your best friend! and start small with “simpler” herbs! i also recommend checking which zone you are so you know when to plant what :) i’m a noob gardener myself and am still constantly trying and failing, so your best bet is to start somewhere, fail, and then improve until you get better ☺️
So UA-cam randomly offered me your video and I’m so glad for the algorithm working 😊 so much in here I love. As a primary school librarian I can say Geronimo Stilton and the Rainbow magic series are still incredibly popular! Then I saw the bubble tea part and noticed the Vic Park label…So Hi from further north of the swan river 👐🏻
awww i’m so glad you’re here! 🫶🏼 that is honestly so heartwarming, so happy that they’re still adding magic to people’s childhood 🥰 and good eye! hellooo fellow perthian 🤍
First time viewer, so enjoyed your video. Such a relaxing vibe, just what I needed tonight. I’m interested in annotating, haven’t tried it yet. I’m going to see if you have any beginner tips.
oh interesting!! i’ve had very little issues with my current filmora version… one time it was lagging quite a bit but i deleted a bunch of files in my computer and it worked a treat :)
the only other person i know who does similar videos (and who i’ve majorly been inspired to start a channel by) is her86m2!! 🥰🥰 and her videos are 1000x lovelier 🤍🤍
You can search for silent vlogs. If you like gardening I have also been inspired to share in this style but there are a lot of cooking creator vlogs out there if you prefer.
Omggggg fellow Aussie??!! I also ADORED Rainbow Magic growing up!!!! I came across your video purely on accident and subscribed like 5 mins into the video
ahhh thank you so much for the incredible support hehe 🥺🤍 i’m glad we share so many of the same interests!! i’ve not read uprooted but definitely heard lots of amazing things about it!! thanks for the recommendation, i love beautiful & magical writings so will definitely give the author a try! thanks for the loveee hehe 🤍🥹
First time watching your videos and it was amazing!! What does it mean when your circle and underline when annotating? And what’s your go-to words/sentences behind the colors you pick for each book?
ahh thank you sooo much!! 🥰 honestly there isn’t any difference with the underlines snd circles (not helpful i’m sorry)! it’s based on my mood and whether or not i feel like underlining, highlighting, circling, or all at once at that point 😆 i also don’t have a system with the colors! i normally pick a set of colors based on the cover of the book and then i just alternate with highlighting using each color. i used to have a system where each color mean something (ie. red = funny, yellow = memorable quotes, green = character development, etc). but i stopped doing that and just highlight with whatever color as i go ☺️ hopefully this helps!!
From what I have seen, I think she reads a couple of chapters and dog ears the pages she wants to annotate and then goes back 😊 Priory of the Orange tree had tabs in the front of the book but not the back during clips throughout the videos.
i do both! :) it honestly depends on my mood (and i guess convenience as well)! i do the bulk of my reading during commutes, before bed, and weekend mornings on my table. if i’m reading a huge book (like priory of the orange tree for example), i read an ebook version when i’m out and annotate digitally (which will be transferred when i get the chance to sit down and annotate the physical book). when i’m in bed and don’t feel like annotating, i just dog-ear the pages so i can come back to them. but when i’m on my desk and have all the annotating tools i need, i’ll annotate then and there :) there’s a lot of tranferring going around which may not be the most ideal case for everyone, but it’s worked fine for me since i’m mostly out at work and can’t bring large physical books around! i’m still struggling to find a way to annotate when listening to audiobooks though. the only time i’ve done this was with “muse of nightmares”! i had the physical book but listened to 95% of the audiobook. i literally skimmed through each page to recall all the phrases i loved to highlight them, which took such a long time (but i ended up with quite a bit of tabs)!
Hi Cath, where is your candle holder/carousel available? (does it have a particular name?).. cheers and have a great weekend... just came across your channel! 😸
Question: I am trying to learn how to draw on my youtube videos as well. Can you please share what program you used ot do the drawing on your video? Did you use Procrate on Ipad?
I recently discovered your channel and have been binge watching. A fellow Aussie here 😅 i look forward to your new content. Ive recently started annotating my books too ( inspired by you) a giveaway would be sooooooo goooddddde hint hint lol
ahhh thank you for the incredible support 🥰 hello and welcome! so glad you’ve started to annotating :) they’re so much fun. i will definitely do a stationery giveaway sooon 🫶🏼
Your reading all the books my 8 year old adores. She loves the Geronimo Stilton and fairy books. I hope you don’t get rid of any of your books. The writing all over them stresses me out.
I've come to enjoy your vlogs so deeply, it makes my day every time I get a notification of an update! The vibe you convey, the warmth you emanate, the sweetness of your relationships and, of course, the books! I can't express how much I've been loving these videos 🧡 keep up with the great work, sending love your way
thank you so much, this truly means a lot to me 🥹 i still can’t believe there are people out there who can enjoy silent vlogs like these. so grateful for the community here! thank you for the wonderful comment 🥰
i had nooo idea wes anderson did short films on roald dahl’s stories!! what a match made in heaven 😍 will definitely be checking them out - thank you for the suggestion! 🤍
yes they’re all technically targeted towards children! 🥰 i love collecting books like that haha. they’re got a certain charm that adult books don’t have

I've never annotated any book I've read, for me, it is all about enjoying the reading experience and remaining focused on the characters and plot. Also, screw Temu and all the other similar forced labor apps and their tricks to avoid tax put into countries that they ship to!
I couldn't help but notice your nail on your left hand. It looks like there's a black stripe up the nail. Is your nail okay? I was hoping it was ink....
you have a good eye! :)) haha i appreciate the concern! i’ve had that weird stripe since i was very young, and it’s been a running joke in my family that i’ve been cursed since i was little 😂 but it doesn’t seem to be a big health related issue!
yes i am! 🥰 i love martabak hehe. a family here makes them and they taste so much like home 🤍 i try to order from them as often as i can but unfortunately i live pretty far away :’)
It’s a shame- no one else can enjoy the books, they are essentially destroyed. Why not just be present in the reading of the book instead of pressurising yourself to annotate everything? :)😊

i do both! :) it honestly depends on my mood (and i guess convenience as well)! i do the bulk of my reading during commutes, before bed, and weekend mornings on my table. if i’m reading a huge book (like priory of the orange tree for example), i read an ebook version when i’m out and annotate digitally (which will be transferred when i get the chance to sit down and annotate the physical book). when i’m in bed and don’t feel like annotating, i just dog-ear the pages so i can come back to them. but when i’m on my desk and have all the annotating tools i need, i’ll annotate then and there :) there’s a lot of tranferring going around which may not be the most ideal case for everyone, but it’s worked fine for me since i’m mostly out at work and can’t bring large physical books around! i’m still struggling to find a way to annotate when listening to audiobooks though. the only time i’ve done this was with “muse of nightmares”! i had the physical book but listened to 95% of the audiobook. i literally skimmed through each page to recall all the phrases i loved to highlight them, which took such a long time (but i ended up with quite a bit of tabs)!
btw may i know what kind of pen you use to annotate ? the normal pens in my country always bleeds through :((
hi! ballpoint pens are great if you don’t want them to bleed through ☺️
Yes to giveaway I am a stationery addict
holy heavens I'd go crazy if my book was so scribbled😅 but the vlog was amazing❤
i totally understand 😂 thank you!! 🤍

Hi question, do you have to ask to use the music in your video or do you just credit them? I really like the Ghibli music.
hi! nope i don’t :) they only require their music and social media accounts be credited and linked in the description
@@cupsandthoughts Awesome! Thank you for the response!! Also your videos are so wonderful! 💖

Your reading all the books my 8 year old adores. She loves the Geronimo Stilton and fairy books. I hope you don’t get rid of any of your books. The writing all over them stresses me out.
that’s so sweet 🥹 8 year old me loved them just as much! i hope to recollect all of my childhood books one day :) haha i totally understand!! 😸🙈
i found that same fantastic mr fox in my city's library omg, just a couple of days ago too gjfòdfljgk ahaha
ahhh that’s sooo cool!! haha what a coincidence 🦊🤍
What do you use to film and edit?
wondershare filmora! it’s a one-off purchase and has been amazing to use for beginners like myself :)
13:32 it does! yeesh it sounds painful to read
it was a very conflicting read 😅😅
Aaawww your cat and my dog are both named Prince
hahaha that’s sooo cute 👑

The vibe you convey, the warmth you emanate, the sweetness of your relationships and, of course, the books! I can't express how much I've been loving these videos 🧡 keep up with the great work, sending love your way
thank you so much, this truly means a lot to me 🥹 i still can’t believe there are people out there who can enjoy silent vlogs like these. so grateful for the community here! thank you for the wonderful comment 🥰
😻🐈😻🐈😻
I hope you have been able to see the new Wes Anderson short films based on Roald Dahl's stories. They are so interesting!
i had nooo idea wes anderson did short films on roald dahl’s stories!! what a match made in heaven 😍 will definitely be checking them out - thank you for the suggestion! 🤍
Book Leo reminds me of Princess Kate sometimes 😅
she does kind of look like her doesn’t she! ✨
Are those books for adults or children?
yes they’re all technically targeted towards children! 🥰 i love collecting books like that haha. they’re got a certain charm that adult books don’t have
love the annotations but can you really focus on the book while constantly annotating? if I missed in the video I apologize, I was doing chores haha
Thanks for the video! I am a Nomadic Artist 🎨 who has sojourned to 4 different places over the last 10 years. I love Autumn so I paint and created an art vlog about my latest painting

To YOU who are reading this message, may Autumny warmth, coziness and abundance be filled in your life❤
I've never annotated any book I've read, for me, it is all about enjoying the reading experience and remaining focused on the characters and plot.
@@cupsandthoughts Oh, thank goodness!!!! :)
Wahhh asik banget(●'▽'●)ゝ
I love her videos ❤ I'm new around here. Does anyone know where she lives or how old she is? Does she ever show her face?
thank you so much 🥹🤍🤍 i live in perth, western australia, and i’m turning 24 this year! 🥰 i don’t ever show my face online but maybe one day i will ☺️
New to her videos as well! Thanks for the info! It helps to relate a bit further while respecting her privacy.

Are you Indonesian? You ate martabak❤
yes i am! 🥰 i love martabak hehe. a family here makes them and they taste so much like home 🤍 i try to order from them as often as i can but unfortunately i live pretty far away :’)
Please send me stationery ❤❤😂🎉
It’s a shame- no one else can enjoy the books, they are essentially destroyed. Why not just be present in the reading of the book instead of pressurising yourself to annotate everything? :)😊
I love Geronimo Stilton’s books 🥹 my dad used to buy them for me when I was a kid
me too!! i love that geronimo holds such a special place in so many people’s lives 🥰
