What a great video! At The Park Hotel we have a package that includes your room, breakfasts, lunch for the crossing and door to door transfers. You save a bit of money but the real benefit is that all arrangements are made for you. Hopefully that will assist with some of the questions in these comments.
Completed crossing my son and i on the 23 /10 absolutely awesum experience stunning views you'd never ever likely to see anywhere with such easy reach , should be on most peoples bucket list. Highly recomend
Just did this 3 days ago. Our legs are still wobbly. We only hike 3 to 6 mile hikes once every year so it was incredibly challenging. Took us 10 hours to complete. But the incredible sights will remain with us forever.
The whole hike is 19km. It starts at Mangatepopo Road end, goes up, and finishes at Ketetahi Car Park (not a loop). There are 4-hour parking limits at both the Mangatepopo and Ketetahi road ends for short walks. If you want to do the whole Tongariro Alpine Crossing like in the video, it's best to book a return shuttle from National Park Village or Whakapapa Village. ☺️
Hi, watched your Tongariro Alpine crossing day hike video for many times. It is very clear and helpful. I’m going to following your way on 4-Mar. May I know the shuttle bus service to the entrance and pickup from the end point is provided free from the hotel?

@@doriskong5285 I think it's called summer crossing package from the Park hotel. Ask for it when you book your accommodation. Shuttle pick up is from the hotel itself. Depending on when you finish the hike, you can take the 3pm, 4:30pm or 6pm return shuttle from Tongariro back to the hotel 😊

i did this walk on Jan 22, what an amazing hike this is. our day was a little cloudy at the peak but still the view was awesome!
