I'm a 55 year-old on the autism spectrum. I randomly came across your videos with Cooper on UA-cam, and immediately recognized a kindred spirit -- not by condition -- but by his precocious expression of the world as only he will perceive it. He's obviously well above average intelligent. He's very social and even the most mainstream schools are far better prepared for inclusion these days. There will still probably be times when Cooper will be talking about something in a way he considers obvious, but his peers can't perceive it like he does. He will have to find their "lower frequency" and describe it like that. He'll be able to do that, and you'll have to help him do it without frustration, ego, or disdain. Such is the challenge of his lifetime, but you're off to a really good start.
I just LOVE Coop!!! I look forward to anything you post about him and how you and your husband are raising him. Your whole family is certainly special!

I am a retired special needs preschool teacher and I trained for a bit at the school for the deaf in Belleville and I so enjoy seeing Cooper progress with his implants as they were not available back in the day that I was teaching in Belleville. You have given him both worlds now with his signing knowledge too. It's just a delight to see your family in my grandmother world.

Cooper is a beautiful child! Full of energy, silliness and so intelligent! To watch him play and tell mom he don't always need assistance, that is a typical toddler! I hope he will continue on feeling like that! I know people of all ages can be cruel, but you have taught him good! He is a bright ray of sunshine and so adorable 💛!

What an Adorable Angel Baby Cooper is❤It’s clear what his purpose is in life-God’s vessel to bring more understanding to all the unique medical challenges out there that many parents may have thought they were going through alone. Thanks to Cooper, and his amazing Mother, parents now have an avenue of support they may not have had otherwise. God Bless them both🙏🏻🩵🤍
Regarding your recent short on sharing -- it's important for exactly the reasons you point out. Most immediately, you can help Cooper process supportive examples from people (like me) who see some of their experiences in situations he does or will face. As the years go by (and not that many by the look of things) you can help Cooper "return the favor" by knowing both the value of his own experiences and that sharing his experiences will help someone else freely be who they are too.

And before you answer, you could produce these videos and blur out your childrens' faces. Your failure to do so is questionable. If YOUR personal journey is the story, why are you selling it with the faces of your children who CANNOT consent? Are you not interesting enough?
