Daily Study no. 87 for Trombone Quartet

Back to the trombone quartet today, with a jazz influenced study. I had planned for this study to be more laid back, but I found that difficult to achieve without slowing down the tempo, which I didn't want to do after writing the opening theme. That said, I will certainly come back to that idea in a future study.
I also didn't plan for this to be full of meter changes, but the ideas I had written simply led to the meter changes as their most natural developments. Harmonically, this study is pretty similar to no. 85, but with a bit more of an emphasis on using dominant chords and tritones, which adds to this study's more "driving" feel.
