- A simple hook in the form of a heart. I used a welder but the purists might want to try forge welding it! #GaryHuston #Blacksmithing #Farrier #ASMR #Horseshoeing #Fabrication #Ironwork #Hoofcare #welder #repairs #horse #farriery #engineering

also of all the smiths ive been watching . i have enjoyed your videos the most . down to earth and fun to watch . i like the way you question yourself out loud , it is very human sounding . the way you have of explaining your work is easy to understand and follow. hope you are feeling better keep up the excellent work !!
When the vedio started I made a comment out loud to no one and said "Why are Blacksmith shops always so frigg'en messy" my wife looked at the screen and said "His shop isn't messy, he can walk in his shop, alls you can do is open the door and remember when you could get to your forge" I guess I know what I'm doing in the morning.
Is that little workshop view for me haha. Great video
Looks good! Can't wait for the next one.
I'm a complete novice to blacksmithing. I dabbled moving metal several decades ago (before kids) and loved it, but life kept me from pursuing it further. Now I have a son with illnesses that keep him from participating in "normal" activities so I'm always looking for cool things for him you try. Your videos inspired both of us to try our hand at working on metal. You are truly an inspiration and we love watching your videos. Thank you for taking the time to record and post your work even amidst your injuries. That motivates my son to work around his disabilities and he has made some very nice things for his mom and sisters. Thanks Gary. I wish you all the best.
Thanks, I love to hear this kind of story. All the best to you and your family.. “Give it some beans!”

That was so interesting to watch. Thanks m8!
No problem 👍
As usual a great video and always I learn a lot from watching you work. You inspired me to get in the shop as I was also getting a bit fed up of sitting around after Christmas so I made the heart hook too
Fantastic! That's what my channel is all about, inspiring others to have a go..
Very nice. Happy New Year, to you and yours' from Nova Scotia.
Happy New Year Gary.
I'm glad to see you're back working in the shop again. I see you've got some sort of project with wood pallets going. Will we get to see the progress on that? I've recently found a source of used pallets, hundreds of them actually, and I'm going to be trying new things with them.
Take care Gary and thanks for what you do.
Mark

Happy New Year Gary. From the beginner blacksmith, you make it look so easy man! Nice work i'll have to give one of those a go.
It's only easy if you know what you're doing! Keep at it..
Great work as always. I've learned a lot watching your videos. Will you please make a video on making, installing collars for attaching two pieces together?
GORGEOUS =D
That appeared to work very well cold for wrought iron god job
Look at that Gary.
For a moment there, I thought you were making some gruesome veterinary instrument
Thanks Gary for that. I've got some 10mm round lying around so I might give it a go. Good luck for 2016. Cheers Alan
Good job
Thanks Gary, your holiday boredom is our education.
My wife would love that, how much to send that over to the US?? Love your videos! Keep up the good work.
hi gary nice project hows your arm these days ? hey about leaves under the door same here but what i did was go to the local tyre place and got some tractor innertubes that were bust on the valve ,then i cut them up into 6 inch strips and fastened em to the bottom of the doors it stops leaves getting under .try that if youve time .Ant from Wales .
Car painter shops get messy fast too.
Хорошая работа! Привет из России.
Nice one Gary. Enjoyed that. How do you protect from corrosion? Some kind of wax?
Clear Lacquer or wax
С наступающим Новым Годом!
And a happy new year to you!
Nice Job! I'm still slowly acquiring all the things to set up my shop. Others have asked, and I'd like to know as well. Will you ship to the US, and how much for the hook?
+Richard Bagnall I don't generally sell stuff on line or overseas but I have had so many people ask I may give it a try. Where in the US are you? I will see how much it will be to ship.
Not sure how much the hooks are yet as it's the first one i've done, I need to do a few more to work out a reasonable price.
+garyhuston Just done a quick search for prices and to the US is really expensive about £25 for this small hook!!
I am in New Hampshire. is that 25 for shipping only, or shipping and hook?
+Richard Bagnall that was just the shipping! I don't know why the prices have gone up so much. I used to send to the US a few years ago and it was much cheaper. I wonder if it's in light of extra security measures. I will keep looking for a cheaper way.
Love your work Gary, I would love to give it a go but I have 0 experience in blacksmith. Do you sell any of your work, or take requests? I have watched all your videos now, HUrry and make more lol
+Maple Leaf Vapes WOW! That must have taken a while to watch all 204 videos! Well done you...I don't generally sell my stuff on line, I put it an a shop that my wife sells antiques from and it just slowly sells. I might start thinking about it thogh as I have had so many people ask. I need to start and get shipping prices. Thanks for watching, I hope you have subscribed!
+garyhuston you can call me Ian, love your work, loved the knife especially. I am on Toronto Canada, my wife was from manchester. You should think about doing on line and custom orders. Yes I subscribed a year ago I think
+Maple Leaf Vapes

ive noticed that you use fractional instead decimal in your videos . in U. K. i thought decimal was the norm ?
it is but i was born before the change over and its an old habit!
Is there any way I can send you a pic ?
Yes send it to gary.huston@me.com or just share it with me on your you tube channel.
