Sadly the US "hardcore" fans, The wanna be MT drivers, that take their personal car to pep boys, that think they are somebody while wearing a custom crew shirt and take photos most of the time have no idea what it's like traveling from gig to gig staying up late covered in grease eating bologna sandwiches. They just go ooooo big shiny truck and that's it.
Thank you for the comment Mike, it is easy to fall in to the romantic idea of turning up and driving monster trucks in front of fans. The reality as you say, there are days where you don’t sleep, your working in the night under headlights covered in oil. I calculated that only 10% of the time we are a ‘Monster Truck driver’ the other 90% is all the boring stuff, maintenance, driving, show prep. We try to highlight the rough with the smooth.
