You can see the same amshas in Mahabharata too. The meaning of Avataar is that the complete energy of the devata manifests it self in whatever form needed across the Universe. Look at Krishna, even though he had the human form, still he had the entire cosmic energy with him, hence he showed the entire Universe in his mouth to his Mother. Similarly, Rama with just his touch liberated the sati. BTW with Mercury in the 10th house, was Lord Rama a Business Magnate of his times rather than an Emperor?
