@arabella2100 how true...ya can't fix dumb, but the good people in the world make up for the bad ones, when you get rotten lemons you simply go find fresh ones, thanks for the support!
i have so many stories about inconsiderate rude and extremely annoying kids mind you im only 14 and it seems every single kid younger than me is rude and think they're brilliant by swearing or stealing it makes me sick!!!!
I come across people like that all the time. I just smile, wish them a nice day and walk on by. They are the people that will never amount to anything in their lives, and they are the type of people I wouldn't waste anymore time talking to.
Just watched this video last night and I have to admit, I do dig your laid back conversational style! Hey, working as a public school high school teacher I'm happy to report its not all doom and gloom for our kids. I'd say the vast majority of my students are good kids but the environment they grow up in is way different than it was 15, 20 or 30 years ago. Sometimes I feel like we are practically their parents.
That would blow my mind too. I'm 19 and I was raised to be polite. Anytime we're shopping and I see someone coming, I automatically move my cart, or I step out of the way so that the person can go by me. If I swore when I was growing up I would have been grounded and anything that I was getting that day would have been returned to the shelf. Some people shouldn't be able to have kids.
@cutlerylover Jeff, I love all of your balisong tutorials, and i want to buy a new balisong because the one i recently bought broke within 2 weeks of using it.. and i was gonna ask if you know a good site for a semi-cheap/durable balisong? i dont mind spending 50-60 bucks for a decent one, but im not gonna lie, the last one i had was a complete piece of shit.
I totally know what you're talking about. It blows my mind: the way some people live their lives, allow themselves to behave in public and in private, and the way they blame the system for their own problems/lack of personal restraint. There is a complete lack of accountability and personal responsibility. People want something for nothing and believe the way they act has no bearing on whether they should be given what they want. It's sad.
I love walmart when I have plenty of time to lollygag around and stare at all the circus freaks, but I hate it when I'm in a god damn hurry! I loved this story
Your a wise 27 year old to recognize this future problem we face. When even I see a kid out of line, I try not to get upset with the child because it's the parent that created the little monster. A great prase I picked up that sums it all up "You need a license to drive a car but not to have a child".
Zeybrin I agree 100% with your theory. Sad part is those people ruin or quality of life by situations like this and having to interact with them daily. In my opinion I hope this bottom-feeder class dies off soon so that there is a hope of an intellectual future.
All these older people need to remember that they are the ones who crafted the culture kids like that grew up in. Older generations are finally realizing they messed up in the way the world is run by seeing how kids raised in it act. It's a shame.
This story is kind of similar but,I was talking to this eleven year old because his father asked me to watch him and his younger seven year old, I allowed them to ride their bikes because it was a nice day outside, the older brother decided to stop and talk to me for a bit on his bike in the middle of the road (Keep in mind that this is a very clear street so maybe two or three cars roll down it a day.) and his younger brother decided to stop directly behind him on his bike. Character limit.
I'm 15 and frequently help out in my scout troop with leadership.. my friends and I have formed a sort of leadership team and we really make a difference. our bread and butter is playing along (to an extent) with the younger scout's jokes, to earn their respect, make them, laugh and lighten up the mood without creating chaos. So the leadership team including myself was making our rounds in between the different activity areas (spread close to half a mile apart) see next comment
To give you hope man. I live in Tx and about a month ago, in walmart, I accidentally bumped into this little kid, he had to be the age of that boy. I promptly said "Oh, I am sorry, I didn't mean to do that" and without missing a beat he quickly said " Oh, no problem."
Also, a similar experince. We were walking in Lowes, picking up seed's for the garden. We see a couple nun's near by, and don't pay much attention untill they start sticking seed's in there pocket's! We walk up to the outdoor cashier, and tell ehr about this, and she call's down securit, and that had to be the funnist thing (imagine Nun's getting pulled away by security gaurd's).
Once i was handing out food for thanksgiving to needy families with a church that a friend of mine went to. We were in a stranger's house and one of the kids who was helping us from the church, maybe 5 or 6 but younger than the one you dealt with, just straight up walked up to me and said 'Why are you with us? i don't like you, go away!' And he said it several times afterwards. Normally it would bother me, but it made me laugh
I would have said "and the same to you my friend" with a BIG smile on my face. As another UA-camr always says, "keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you're up to". LOL
I laughed so much at this :P. And seriously, kids these days get on my nerves, they think they rule the place and can ge away with anything. Hope your move is going well, glad to see some more videos popping up! :)
As a Walmart employee (And college student. A job's a job, you know?), I have to agree. Our nation is falling apart. I see people like that constantly, and it's sickening. The number of adults and children I see acting that way seems to increase by the day.
It's the same here. I can't say I'm suprised by the mother's reaction, as you say, thats where he learnt it from. You know Jeff, you are starting to sound like a cranky old man. Feels good doesn't it? :)
I work in what could be considered the British equivalent of wal-mart (hell, our company is owned by wal-mart anyway) and some of the things I see children do really makes me weep for society. This is made even worse by the fact that parents just don't give a crap what their kids do or don't believe you when you tell them how their precious snowflake has acted while their head was turned.
I'm 15 and male, so naturally I swear quite a bit, but at least I have the maturity to not be rude like that in public. I seldom even swear if there's anyone who isn't my friend nearby, and when I do it'd never be the F word near or to strangers, excluding the internet of course. I thought us teens, full of angst, were supposed to be the rude ones, not the young kids and the adult women.
I was at Walmart a few days ago and they had giant stickers all over the floor that said "taxes" on them. Walmart actually has to remind their customers to save enough money to pay their taxes.
Had a similar incident when I stopped to fix my bike. Some 10-12 year olds was laughing at something (in hindsight: me) when all of a sudden a cocky, little runt breaks out of the pack and asks me: "Hey, can't you afford a car, loser?" followed by a content little smirk towards his giggling friends and girlfriends... Wasn't the mature thing to do, but it was so humiliating I actually picked the kid off the ground by the collar and replied: "Hey, don't you know my fist can DESTROY your face?!!"
Well i live in Texas and i was just in walmart last week. i was walking through with my cart full of crap and a 20 year old man wearing an under shirt, and pants basically around his knees runs by and accidently hits my cart and tips it over. and after that i expect him to yell at me cause alot of people nowadays are so rude, but this young man looks at me and goes, " I'm terribly sorry sir, here ill pick this up for you."
Jeff i respect you for not beating the SH#$ out of that kid and his mother, kids these days im 18 and i dont know how many times iv been cussed out by some kid thats 7 or 8 with clearly no supervision. it pisses me off how kids are now. how can people be that way????
That's exactly why I never say a word to anyone when I go to walmart to buy ammo. One time a guy over by the ammo counter complained about the line, and I told him he could go ahead of me because I was just looking. Instead of saying thank you, he just stared at me and didn't say anything. I typically can't stand looking at the people there, but this just gives me more incentive to not speak to people there. Hahaha I don't think I would have been able to resist poking fun at that kid though.
this is totally a Eric Cartman doppleganger lol I had a boy tell me to "F**K OFF" right in the check out, I think because I had a big cart at the time and I may have been holding up the line. everyone, and I mean everyone looked at him and his mother, the cashier looked at me with a "what the f**k was that" face, like he was wondering what I'd done to deserve it. I nearly burst out laughing, but kept my composure until I got to my car, then laughed all the way home lol
I am not surprised by the response by the mother or the son. If we learn this at home we will most likely do it in public. I worked for walmart and I have seen some scary things that haunt me to this day. But at the same time I just have to laugh at some of these people that steel right out in the open and then look surprised when they get caught.
Sadly its ending up more and more like this every day, seems like everytime i turn around there is a kid pulling something like that. Its really sad to see how things are anymore. I know if i would have did anything like that when I was growing up my mom, dad, or grandparents would have beat the living hell out of me in front of everyone and then would have made me apologize to the person. I know it would do some good for alot of kids these days to get that too.
going to the gas station one day, i looked over and this little girl probably 3 years old looks at me and flips me off when i walked in and walked back out
sometimes I love your stories man.. just threw this up and listened as I clean my m24/47 mauser rifle and actually lol'ed when you said "get f**cked" .
I'm Canadian, whenever we go to the American Walmarts I'm blown away; by both the people and products. I'm walking around and I'm like; WOAH! Holy crap spray cheese, wait WTF pizza chicken subs! Idk it's pretty crazy in the US sometimes.
Dude, you are a saint. If I was in that situation, the mother and her son would in the hospital, each getting a size 13 steel toe boot removed from their intestines. lmao
I am the Senior Patrol Leader of my troop, we had a couple kids that fit that discrimination exactly and one that goes to my church, If you lived closer, I would have to apoligize for there behavior. but Im pretty sure they were not on the coast recently. and Im 10 years younger than you and I find my self saying "damn kids" under my breath as well. The world is a messed up place.
Omg! I know how you feel. Im 13 an pretty short for my age and kids in sixth grade think Im their age. Then the punks go "you wanna fight me" whenever I bump into them accidentally in the hallways. Then the rest if my friends come out of the class and surround the kids... They really are good times
lol... being young kinda sucks these days.. I went to a store yesterday and a old man was walking in behind me so I held the door open for him, he literally could not believe the a 17 year old would hold the door open for someone lol... did the same thing on they way out and the lady I was holding the door for just completely ignored me and went out of her way to open the other door lol..
Sorry to hear what happened to ya. At least you know YOU have a decent head on your shoulders. Pro-Tip: Don't go anywhere near wal-mart before 11pm. I won't go in that place when the sun is up. Its a zoo. Go at night, when everyone clears out, and you will actually have quite a peaceful, pleasant shopping experience.
hey great story glad you shared it im about to turn 20 soon and i too am aslo scared for our future i know im still young but i see kids like this all the time and it sickens me
It has nothing to do with having a bad day....we are just living in a society that no longer teaches what manners and proper house training are. Its really sad.
don't worry he'll be in prison in 8 years anyway lol
@arabella2100 how true...ya can't fix dumb, but the good people in the world make up for the bad ones, when you get rotten lemons you simply go find fresh ones, thanks for the support!
lmfao i totally forgot about this story one of my favorites
You described the mother perfectly...there is a distinct difference between a "Walmart regular" and someone who shops at walmart regularly.
Don't be judging the future of this nation from what you see at WALMART. LOL
This is why I sub jeff, enjoy the stories and randomness he gives us.
i have so many stories about inconsiderate rude and extremely annoying kids mind you im only 14 and it seems every single kid younger than me is rude and think they're brilliant by swearing or stealing it makes me sick!!!!
OverTheTopWarrior same here
I come across people like that all the time. I just smile, wish them a nice day and walk on by. They are the people that will never amount to anything in their lives, and they are the type of people I wouldn't waste anymore time talking to.

Thank you so much for posting this, it made my day. Made me sad, but also made me laugh. Did you report the girl to security?
@TheStig000 most kids who are not raised well still watch tv and know whats "common" or "normal" and know they behave badly, they just dont care
That would blow my mind too. I'm 19 and I was raised to be polite. Anytime we're shopping and I see someone coming, I automatically move my cart, or I step out of the way so that the person can go by me. Some people shouldn't be able to have kids.
here's one..mislabeled doors..."push" on a "pull" door, made me look like a complete idiot waking into my local gamestop on a release night...

It's sad.
Dont let it get you down man, sometimes it just isnt your day.
I don't know why but the thick white text and sound of censor beep was hilarious along with your face and the part of the story.
Every time I go to Walmart, I think of the line from Apocalypse Now, "Never get out of the boat! Never!" LOL. It is just TOO crazy out there.
It's really scary what passes for parenting these days, I can't even imagine what my parents would have done if I talked to someone like that.
I love walmart when I have plenty of time to lollygag around and stare at all the circus freaks, but I hate it when I'm in a god damn hurry! I loved this story

Wow dude. I know how you feel. It seems like I run into this kind of situation EVERY time I go shopping lately. UGH.
Hahahaha Jeff as a Walmart regular I must say I have been going recently just to look at people.. I love Walmart haha. Thanks for this story Jeff!

The punch line (mothers response) really got me, Jeff. You made me LOL pretty hard. Thank you :)

Hope your move is going well, glad to see some more videos popping up! :)
This is my FAVORITE of ur vids of ALL TIME!
HILLARIOUS!
I'm scared for the future too. It's really tragic. It all starts with the parents.
jeff this is the funniest ive laughed in a while!! omfg thats just hilarious!
"What's up with all this... chocolate on your face!?"
"It's doodoo baby!"
As a Walmart employee (And college student. A job's a job, you know?), I have to agree. Our nation is falling apart.
I see people like that constantly, and it's sickening.
The number of adults and children I see acting that way seems to increase by the day.
When I shop at Wal-Mart I have a battle mindset. My shopping cart is a weapon. You can't fix stupid, unless you use a firearm.
Yes!! Iv been looking for this story for a week
I've had similar experiences, it's a symbol of where our nation is going.
Thats hilarious and sad! Made my night though thanks alot Jeff needed a good laugh
This is happening in the UK too. I try to be polite wherever I am but my loud violent streak is slowly boiling to the surface.
It's the same here. I can't say I'm suprised by the mother's reaction, as you say, thats where he learnt it from. You know Jeff, you are starting to sound like a cranky old man. Feels good doesn't it? :)

@ReloadNRetry lol, no, just a funny reply is all, at least I thought it was funny...
I'm 15 and male, so naturally I swear quite a bit, but at least I have the maturity to not be rude like that in public. The old expression, "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" come to mind. It's a shame though, but not surprising.
Had a similar incident when I stopped to fix my bike. Was it the Walmart on Baltimore Pike? My fiancé and I go there to people watch all the time. Highly entertaining.
This is ho hilarious yet so miserable...
We need more storie times like this! +1 on that! ;-)
I've been on the site where they show Walmart shopper. And after hearing the story, all I can say is, God I hope it doesn't spread North into Canada
Don't sweat it man, when you get older you'll just keep pushing your trolley straight.
Jeff i respect you for not beating the SH#$ out of that kid and his mother, kids these days im 18 and i dont know how many times iv been cussed out by some kid thats 7 or 8 with clearly no supervision. it pisses me off how kids are now. how can people be that way????
RIP Jeff, you will be missed.
The electrical box behind him looked like a gigantic light switch. LOL
i have NEVER dealt with anyone so rude. but then again, i live in Texas, where southern kindness is still the norm
Also Wal-mart or the subway which one has more freaks?
it is sad.. and VERY scary to think that a lot of people like this actually breathe the same air as us...
@buriedintheblack There are always exceptions. The point I was really trying to make is that It basically comes down to the parenting.
I don't know how you handled it like that, Jeff. Kudos for shrugging it off and being able to laugh. I would have blown the f up.
That's exactly why I never say a word to anyone when I go to walmart to buy ammo. Shit Jeff, you're 27!?! That means I've been watching you for 3 years!!! Holy Shit!!! I swear it hasn't been that long?

kids are reflects of their parents hope that one never leaves the park
Well at least we know where the kid learned to act right? He's got some real shining examples of leadership.
"There was this kid. Must've been 7 years old, prolly weighed as much as I do." LOL
This is why I avoid Walmart like the plague. The store, it's products and it's practices are bad enough. The people who shop there are worse.
Lol as an employee of wal-mart for almost 9 years you experiance this kinda crap all the time Im still amazed at some of the things I see and hear
Im 14 and if I even rolled my eyes while you passed and my mom saw I wouldn't be able to sleep on my back that night.
going to the gas station one day, i looked over and this little girl probably 3 years old looks at me and flips me off when i walked in and walked back out
Apples don't fall far from the tree do they?
Thank God my parents were raised properly and are raising me properly.
Wow Jeff, your rural state must be full of manners if this surprises you. I live in New York City and stuff like this is almost a daily occurrence!!
sometimes I love your stories man.. just threw this up and listened as I clean my m24/47 mauser rifle and actually lol'ed when you said "get f**cked"
.
those beeps scared the hell out of me
Welcome to retail hell. Employees have to deal with that kind of person every day.
hey jeff, could you please make a video of you shaving with your straight razor, thanks!
Jeff is a saint, there would have been much a choking if a little kid said that to me
lol... being young kinda sucks these days.. I went to a store yesterday and a old man was walking in behind me so I held the door open for him, he literally could not believe the a 17 year old would hold the door open for someone lol... did the same thing on they way out and the lady I was holding the door for just completely ignored me and went out of her way to open the other door lol..
"6x, and he's probably only and extra large" XD He's preparing for the future!
my moms a teacher and she sees it everyday especially with the parents. Usually the parents care just as much as the kid which is really sad
The zombies are not just at WalMart. They are in supermarkets, on the roads ... everywhere! And I'm NOT talking about movie zombies.
Sorry to hear what happened to ya. At least you know YOU have a decent head on your shoulders. Pro-Tip: Don't go anywhere near wal-mart before 11pm. I won't go in that place when the sun is up. i think Kurt Vonnegut put it best:
True terror is to wake up one morning and discover that your high school class is running the country.
where is the collection in the back???
I'm 16, and I don't even have any hope in this messed up society and generation... that is just ridiculous...
hey great story glad you shared it im about to turn 20 soon and i too am aslo scared for our future i know im still young but i see kids like this all the time and it sickens me
I'll honestly be surprised if nobody makes a joke about the Snorlax from the classic pokemon games.
It has nothing to do with having a bad day....we are just living in a society that no longer teaches what manners and proper house training are. Its really sad.
Goes to show you that kids REALLY DO pay attention to the example we set for them as adults. Shame on that mother.
