Hello there. Is the neck very smooth like a satined one? I have an old squier CV50 with a glossy neck and it gets sticky especially in summer. thank you
The Pacificas Ive heard great things about. I've never played one.. However I just bought this squier today and its amazing. If you can can this id say you couldnt go wrong with these 40th anniversary stratocasters for a first guitar. Great straightforward stratocaster! On the other hand, id say go with the pacifica if you want a humbucker pickup. If youre good with all 3 single coils pick this!
Under $600 (when on sale) otherwise under $700 rivals fender MiM strats, actually better frets as has been my experience. My Squier Affinity fmt has nicer frets and rolled like neck than my MiM fender at half the price! I'm guessing the 40th Anniversary is a step up.
Squier made some good ones with the 40th noo doubt. I recently got a telecaster at 9 pounds which I sent back, but the other 40ths I've owned and played were pretty dang good. My personal favorite Squier runs are the JV, SQs, CIC Classic Vibes, Protones and I suppose these 40ths now too!
Wow man this is how a review should be done, I lost track was in awe of your funky art and style of play, I wish for me to one day be at this level of mastery. Thank you very much for inspiring me and maybe others. Here because yesterday I ordered one of these. May you stay blessed, may your dreams and desires come into fulfillment.
I have the 40th Anniversary Vintage Tele in Mocha. I picked it up for dirt cheap, and after watching a lot of how-to's on UA-cam, I made a few upgrades (tuners, bridge, pots, electrosocket, and pickups) and it's now my favorite guitar.
I have the sienna sunburst version with the block inlays and after a full set up to my liking it's great. I was so surprised as I haven't played a Squire since about 1998 so it blew me away.
I've got an affinity tele from 2021/22 from china with the 4 screw through body bridge . It is very resonant and holds tune very well when humidity isn't changing up and down. Overall very nice for the price. I have the sonic blue 40th on the way🤞 it's as nice as everyone says.
I sent it back the frets were beveled too far and it was easy to slip over the edge. It had a neck pocket/finish crack on the bass side. As a side note the strap buttons were really cheap and angled or bent. It was new factory sealed and otherwise very nice in my hands. Maybe the next one will be the one.
@@dragan4658 I did. I got it about 3 weeks ago. The first thing I did after unboxing it was to look at it long and hard and wonder what the hell I was thinking ordering the sonic blue version as opposed to the seafoam. I'll tell you what I was thinking.. I was thinking through the influence of a tall glass of bourbon! But I tell you, now that I've had it for a while, I really do love the color. It reminds me of a worn and faded denim shirt I would wear if I were a cowboy and I wouldn't change it for anything. As far as the sounds, it's great for my purposes-- which is as a spare for another room in my house. I have a friend that loves to go on about all his different Fenders with all his heads and cabs and I'll tell you what-- in my house, all I have is an Orange 35 and an old Fender Champ and this guitar, on those, blows his away like a pressure washer to a mossy sidewalk, because the sound is good and the price is right. I didn't experience any buzzing or weird noise in any of the different positions. No fret sprout or warping. It does what it's supposed to do and it's in my computer room so I can rock on alongside Van Halen. Pretty happy with it.
I’m itching to get this exact Squier. Color and all. Thanks for reviewing!
Hope you enjoy it!
I love that guitar and it looks great ! Love the video and channel ❤
Thanks so much!
Hey, I was wondering if you could maybe do a tutorial on waste my time by Jake hill? And maybe also jack skellington by lil revive?

Great to hear!
I have one and love it. Great playing.
Great to hear!
Frets look bigger than classic Vibes.
Bought mine at GC for 280.00. Had it professionally set up elsewhere. Some fret work. Great guitar, proud to own it.
Good choice!

What does it weigh? The closer to 7lbs the better imo.
@@Billy4fr thanks, that is an awesome weight! Anything 7 lbs and under is perfect!
@@dragan4658I don’t see his response how much did he say it weighed?
@@bluwng just under 7 lbs
@@dragan4658 yes! Thanks
I watched this video again lol. Gr8 content! I just had an idea, fender should relabel the Squier line and call it fender ll (fender 2). 🤘
Cool idea! and thanks for watching!!
@RamonaMusicCenter you're welcome, and I was impressed with your video so I sub'd! 🤘
Man... When I heard you play 38 Special, I had to order it.
😂
Have you received the guitar yet? I'de like to hear what yours is like.
