If you haven't seen it yet. Zach started a podcast with Donald called fake doctors reap friends. Where they go episode by episode and talk about what went on behind the scenes etc and it includes what was improved.
@@themagickgoblin840 You mean improvised? Improved is when you improve on something, improvised in the context you're using would be the appropriate word. This has been a message from the Mega City One Justice Department Grammar Corrections Division.
That scene from 40-46 seconds, John really nailed it.. you could just tell he was a down on his luck middle age man.. such perfectly executed on the spot acting
elli sometimes the actor's character can live on. They've done it before with body doubles or previous footage. Ritter was such a great man. Rest in peace.
john ritter was always typecasted as the "mister nice guy" character. And rightfully so. Even though I never followed his career that closely, it seems he actually WAS a mister nice guy. Not even family guy wanted to joke about his death. John, I make this toast to you. fare thee well, rest in peace!
They actually did look alike, it's kinda weird. John Ritter was so awesome i remember staying up late when I was in middle school to watch re-runs of Three's Company.
I love the scene where he is cooking a meal for Chrissy's date so she can impress her date by making him think she is a great cook. John is venting to Chrissy how frustrated he is and slams the chefs knife onto the cutting board, raises his hand in front of his face and proceeds to count his fingers and then lets out a big sigh of relief when they are all still attached and not bleeding. lol
Update after 4 years: My relationship with my father is better now and I took the advice from JD in this episode. My father wasn't there in my childhood. But I thought, instead of blaming him, I could forgive. We are now buddies and I feel confident enough to talk to him about anything. We see each other once in a year but we talk on the phone every week. Is like, he only needed a second chance from his son, and now I'm glad I let him back in my life.

The fact that, just like in 8 Simple Rules, they had to kill off JD’s dad after John Ritter died showed how important he was and especially how irreplaceable he is. Always making people laugh and smile just by even his presence only. Love you, John. ❤
that "pull my finger " line was not in the script :D it's a blooper but they loved it so much they decided to put in on the show :D it's the magic of John Ritter
There was no way to reach my old man when he got Alzheimer's, and while it was worth it to come home and care for him till he passed, there was an emotional barrier that couldn't be breached. I did it as much for me as for him. If I didn't then I might have spent a long time telling a shrink the things I'd wanted to tell dad.
John Ritter was a comedy genius in the season 1 boxset the part where he said i pooed a little was improvised and you can see Zach Braff bitting his cheeks to try and stop laughing... *RIP Mr John Ritter*
"I pooed a little."
He actually sounded a lot like J.D. right there.
I read that john ritter improvised the "I pooed a little" line. Had Zach Braff and the cast in stitches

Rest in peace Jonathan Ritter 😢😢😢
Did he die in Scrubs because the actor actually died?
Well, obviously yes.
I just looked it up. One year after Jonathan's death, JD's dad died.

He broke the typecast in Bride of Chucky. He was an evil dick in that movie. Did a great job, too!
@@gothnate I recently started watching Buffy the vampire Slayer again, I totally forgot he played Ted in one episode. And it was... beyond disturbing
@@michelvanderlinden8363 Yeah, seeing John Ritter play such a horrible person was really jarring.
Just ask anyone on the set of "8 Simple Rules". They were all broken up when John died.
So true Alicia.
Those were real tears in the "Goodbye" episodes.
Remember the very first episode of Three's Company.
Funny show.
"I poo'd a little" 🤣
You can tell where JD and Dan got their goofiness from. Lol RIP John Ritter.

One of the saddest moments in the entire show :(. I can relate to this because my father and i are quite the same as jd and his father.

Such a sad scene, that's the last time J.D. ever sees his dad!

Are we sure he isn't Zach Braff's father ? THEY LOOK AND ACT THE SAME.

R.I.P John Ritter , Scrubs and 8 Simple rules own
No matter how many times I hear that line or say it aloud, I always ALWAYS laugh. I wish John Ritter had the chance to be on Scrubs more :(
I miss John. He was so great and like a warm hug during my childhood
R.I.P John Ritter
I didn't know he died.....damn. R.I.P
he reminds me of jd so much when he says that.
RIP John
This is the guy who slapped the slayer..!?

Talking about Scrubs on the radio with the cast and this scene came up
Never watched this show or knew JR was in it but the last few seconds of the clip was hilarious!!
RIP John Ritter

Poor guy :(
you can see 'J.D.' biting his cheeks so that he doesn't laugh.
Yes - John Ritter tragically passed away a few years ago from an aortic dissection.
why is john ritter dead?
sometimes its really unfair some really stupid and mean people live and the lovely, nice, talented etc people have to die.
yup i knew that... i used to watch 8 simple rules. its such a shame he was so cool
September 11th 2003.
Perhaps September 11 needs to be removed from the calendar, it seems like a bad date.
Like father like son : )
JD is soooo cute here. :''D
"I pooed a little" LOL!!!
Yeah.
I miss John Ritter
I love John Ritter but for some reason I just can't picture him as J.D.s father.
