The CZ engine casings are from a CZ 250-485 (1981-1983). This was a commuter bike that most riders rebuilt into a trail bike, as the engine is extremely torquey and able to propel the bike up near vertical inclines. A common fault is the engine partially or completely breaking the teeth on the top gear cog, which is part of the output sprocket shaft. I have a friend's CZ 250-485 trail bike in the garage, at the moment, that I've fixed this problem on, The brand new replacement part costs around £20. These casings will also fit the CZ 175-450 (1960-1965), CZ 125-453 (1960-1965), CZ 250-455 (1962-1965), CZ 175-470 Sport (1962-1967), CZ 125-473 Sport (1962-1967) & CZ 250-475 Sport / Trials (1962-1970).
The twin head and barrel look like an Ariel FH Huntmaster to me. This is almost identical to BSA 650 A10 . The BSA has "push in" exhausts ,Ariel used "stubs" (like yours) to clamp the pipes . Plus .060 is max oversize.(and pushing it! )as the barrel base flange can detach!! Single head and barrel def . C15 250 BSA.
Thank you 😀. You're not the first to point out the stubs making them likely Ariel so I think we can say that's pretty much confirmed. Just a shame I didn't uncover the rest of the bike whilst there🤣. Thanks for watching 😊
Thank you, that's the straightforward explanation I needed. Certainly explains why what I thought was a C11 has a C10 frame haha. Thanks for watching 😊.

All the ohv C11s had C10 (side valve) numbered frames. C11g have an alternator instead of a dynamo.
Thank you, that's the straightforward explanation I needed. Certainly explains why what I thought was a C11 has a C10 frame haha.
Thanks for watching 😊.
C10,side valve,c11 overhead valve,c11g had oil feed to the rocker cover.
And I believe the "G" stands for generator?.
Thanks for watching 😀
My c11 g had plunger rear suspension
odd head/cylinder Looks to be BSA C15. (ohv 250)
Odd head etc BSA A7 or A10 (500&650cc)
A10 not A19
BSA C11
=OHV Circa 1950.
BSA C10 = SV
Circa 1946-48
The C10 looks the better of the two Liam!😂
From what I can gather Gary they were available alongside each other for quite a few years. Explains why the bikes themselves are so similar.
@rustyrelics yes they were.
Hello have you still got the c11 at 4:55. I’m interested in it cheers 👍
