Even with a smaller band size lakes held their own, that’s just facts. Ely had really good song selection and most of the energy was there but as soon as y’all started playing that big sound y’all had suffered because of the dancing. No hate on either band y’all both did great, but the truth is lakes was just cleaner.
Side note: Ely y’all woodwind section was solid as hell🖤

Miriam Dorelien yes lakes dance and played but not a lot. Ely however did dance and play a lot and again their sound suffered because of it. It’s only impressive when your sound is consistent with the dances. Shit, lakes prolly could’ve done the same thing but not without a cost.

Lakes got this hands down they are so much cleaner, and to be honest Ely is not that much louder to have about 30 more members they need to eat some wheaties because they suppose to be so much louder.
