Hi Dan! I sure enjoyed catching up to date with what you and Jim Jacobs have been doing the last 50 years. Looks like you have been living your dream! The photo at 45:56 is one I took of your car in the Compton College shop parking lot, maybe 1966. Greg Silkenson, yellow '34 3 window coupe, Early Times member '65 - '66. Now in TX.
this was great. I was born in 1960, so I was a bit young to be building real cars, but I was always attracted to your cars and projects. I would buy any magazines that has you and your cars in them, or models to build. I would go to car show to see them in person when I could. I know wyane Erickson at gilbert metal products in el monte to. this is the most info I've seen on dan woods. you and your cars probably influenced me the most of all the show car builders. thank you to whoever posted this video, kurt.
1:25 that formula 5000 T was in the hands of Ed Newton for a long time. There was even a picture of it with a primered body mocked in place in Street Rodder magazine many years back. Pretty sure Ed never finished it.
Great to hear Dan telling his story. His Ice Truck has been a big influence on my taste in hot rods!
I saw Dan waxing his shop today. It's absolutely an amazing shop.
Larry Wood made a couple of Dan Woods unfinished cars into Hot Wheels. The T-Totaller and the Odd Rod.
