@@7PotClub I imagine that wasn't fun! Here in Colorado, it's either winter or construction season! The main highway (I25) has been under construction for several years now. However, I am sure happy it isn't in front of my house. We had several months of construction go on by our old house. Happy harvest!
I’m already looking forward to you “my favourite peppers of 2023” video. They are always a highlight of the growing season. Never mind my own favourites, I need to know what Rob likes!
Last year went by without an update on the 7 Pot Club album. I would love to hear or see an update on that or even an EP in a future video. ❤️🔥 The music video clip looks fire! Keep being awesome! 😁
Hi Rob, getting Covid in April knocked out all of my enthusiasm and energy for growing, so I just have one store bought ghost pepper plant going. Here in southern Ontario temperatures have been mysteriously normal to even slightly below normal. Not that I’m complaining about it. And we have been getting tons of rain, which is also unusual. Green grass is usually a rarity at this point in summer.
Still struggling with energy and brain fog, but thanks for asking. Looks like my lone ghost is going to give 30-40 fruits from a 2.5 gallon container which seems pretty good. I never thought about your song needing finishing, but the thought of rhyming with “peppers” is 😳.
I think you’ve got more stuff ripening than me. Weather has been a challenge for many. Heck we are still seeing lows in the 40s here. It was 44 this am. I will take it over the heat the rest of the country is getting though.
Great update! Thank you. Also have some ripening pods and road construction - humping out front, no less. But alas, just a bit too much rain. Looking forward to the single!
my different looking Carolina Reepers doesn't have the same heat level, even smell. In Roses we also have this. Then we call it Sporting. They sport back to some of the original crosses., but easier to recognize than in Peppers . Just maybe they also sport back. Sometimes not identical to the original crosses that was used, many new varieties has started like this. I might be wrong about peppers , maybe they dont sport back to parents and grand parent's
Hi Rob, My seeds came up and is little crowded, Good seeds!!! How long before I can transplant some of them. I don't want to discard them . Expensive seeds.
Thankfully, I don't get aphids every year. When we do, I use ladybugs. We have a small space, and they work very quickly! One time a season seems to be enough.
Mine aren't doing so well. First time I've had production issues. Spring was fine got lots of peppers, soon as summer hit and the temps went INSANE. They have been stagnant and maybe the occasional pepper. Im watering them properly but its so hot during the day here in south Louisiana they are probably dry by noon. Hoping the fall will bring a good harvest but until then I will battle to simply keep them alive.
Hi Rob , you mis understood me, meed to give more info. How strong must the seedlings be before I can transplant them safely. Because of good seeds my trays are overcrowded. I dont want to destroy them, want to transfer them to larger grow pots. How old must they be to uproot them safely for transplanting. 7 days, 1 set of leaves . 14 days or when . The soonest possible time. ?? Thnxs
Hi Rob, when do you start to sow the hot pepper seeds indoors with the grow light? I want to start next winter but I'm not sure the month to germinate. Thank you.
@@7PotClub Thanks Rob, I have purchased a viparspectra xs 1000. I think it will be enough for an assortment of 25 seeds. My experience was bad with Habaneros, I did not get fruit years ago, perhaps because I planted in March. Maybe it's premature to germinate in December, I'm going to try this winter. In Spain it is hot and it will work well. it seems that the plant needs to mature many months to have mature capsules.
Thanks for asking! You can't use any of my existing songs, but I'm releasing my epic "I Grow Hot Peppers" song next week, and you will be able to use it on your video. I think you'll like it!
I’m very new to pepper growing and it’s a lot harder than it looks! I have a question that I would like to ask you and anyone who wants to opine….. Why, if you have the option to plant directly in the ground, do you choose pots? I even think I see a pot buried in the ground 😮. Thanks everyone and best of luck!
I only have a small area for growing. If I had a acre of sunny land, I might grow everything in the ground. I only have space for 40 plants in the ground, but I have over 200 plants in all. That's because pots can be placed closer together and placed all around the front yard. Also, it's much easier to control the soil mix and nutrients in a pot than in the ground. The pot in the center of the garden is just resting on the ground. I always have an Aji Ethiopian Fire plant in the center of the bed, and this year the squirrels snapped it off at the base. I had another one growing in a pot, so I put it in the same place!
Thank you for taking the time to reply so thoroughly! I moved to Florida from New York about a year ago so I’m still trying to figure out the seasons. Also, the ground here is completely sand :(. I looked through your channel for a video about basic soil for those of us in soil challenged areas. If you can squeeze out some time to do a video on fertilizer enriched bagged soils and plain bagged soils without fertilizer, as well as the need for adding peat moss or perlite to bagged soils I would love to see it. Good luck with your channel and your music!
Can't wait to hear the full version of the song I've heard a snippet of for years haha
I'm very happy to finally be finishing it!
Both the garden and you looking good Rob! Glad to see both in great health!

Lol. It's been a great year for road construction. ❤
If you have to have your street torn up and redone, you want it finished as quickly as possible! ❤️

oh yeah Rob, nothing better than filming a music video in the Lodge !!
I know! When we found this magical space just a few blocks away from us, I knew I wanted to film there!

Weather is so wonky these days. I'm very happy to be in the northern part of the country! I'll always take cool over hot!
Nice Video Rob!

Awesome video as usual Rob. Everything is looking great. Looming forward to walking the pepper path and the new single 😊

Looks like a Chile De Arbol that I have. The mystery pepper is similar
It does look a lot like that! You may have solved the mystery.

This is some debate about the best time to start seeds, and of course it depends on where you live. Here in Zone 4B, I start in early February.

Are you going to be at the fiery foods festival in ohio on August 26th?
I can't make it, but wish I could be there!
could that mystery chilli plant be a japanese Takanotsume rob.
I don't think the shape is quite right, but could be! I've grown those in the past.

Depends on where you live. Definitely after all danger of frost is over.
mystery pepper - cayenne or thai?
