Hello beautiful people! Here's an in-depth look at a pulse oximeter machine. As always, let me know if there was something I missed! :) Have you used a pulse ox?
Hi Issa! If the machine reads SEN OFF, it means the probe is not being placed correctly on your finger. Make sure the ends of the probe face each other when placed around the finger. I explain it at 2:24 in the video. Hope this helps! 🙂
Perfect video that i needed, have a 2 month old, i was concerned about the oxymeter levels but i realized age difference matters and the correct oxymeter peds chart showed my baby has normal levels! So ready to get this freaking oxygen tank out of my home, just looking at it gives me anxeity. Im debating on dressing it up and putting a hat on it but at night thatd be even more scary. One victory at a time! 🎉
Hi Norma! I was able to get the machine through one of the durable medical equipment locations. It is usually prescribed by a physician and then approved by the insurance company. Hope that helps!😊
Hi there! I'm helping put together a series of short medial documentaries, and we're interested in using a short shot (around timecode 2:43). I'd love to talk further about this! Thanks so much! -Zack Ogle
Hi Trelle! Which signals are you referring to? The bar on the left shows the quality of the signal; the higher the bar, the better the signal. It also rises and falls with the pulse. The bar on the right determines how much perfusion is at that site; the higher the bar, the better the quality. Hope that helps 🙂
@@speciallyhaniya5757 so the bar on the left turns red when my baby is crying or moving around. I wanted to know if those reading were accurate readings, if the bar is red. Thank you so much.
That could be an accurate reading. Movement can cause an inaccurate measurement. When there is low oxygen available, it will turn red as well. So it's important to assess your child if it is alarming. Have your doctor take a look to make sure the readings are correct! ❤️
My bbys left bar turns all the way red when he’s moving or angry his oxygen goes down to 80s sometimes 70s but once he stops moving and calm it goes right back up to 97 his norm his nurse said maybe the signal also is weak???

Can I apply on the foot instead of the nails?
Hi Truc Vu! Yes, you can apply to the toes as well.

Hi April! It could be a true reading or a weak signal. It would be hard to tell which one unless a physician was present.
