You mentioned doing a nerd island, but what if you did like a campus island with their personalities being the different neighborhoods and frat/mat houses? Or it could be like a comic con with their houses being the different booth/areas of the con.
If you have the shellfish pochette DIY, you can make a lot of them and sell them. You'll get around like 10,000 bells for each when you sell then in the shop since you need some money Etce. Just save your large clams and summer shells to make them. :) DIY stuff that'll make you some bank, it'll cost you materials but worth it.

When I was trying to get island togetherness.... One day (today actually) I was looking for Daisy to talk to then ofc she was in the freaking museum. But it didn’t take me long she was in the first exhibit. And about a week ago I was looking for Raymond and he literally went inside another villager’s home 🥲
When I'm convinced my villagers are in the museum...they literally never are. I usually see them casually walk by me about 10 minutes after I've lost my mind looking for 'em...
In animal crossing new leaf you had an speaker you can use and shout villager names and it will appear a bubble in the screen in the direction they are, useful in this scenario...
I regret putting both of my islands in the Northern Hemisphere. Definitely should have done North and South, at least one of my characters would be in a warm season.
