I taught myself to play this piece when I was 16 years old. I could never read sheet music but could learn by listening. I now have just bought a piano for my home, after not playing for 10+ years. I came here as there were a few parts that I couldn’t figure out. Suddenly I’m 16 again!
I like the music from Einaudi, it has always something soothing but also emotional. Your performance was great, soothing and emotional. And congrats to 1 K, you deserve way more. Greetings Liam
I learned this alone when i was 11 and now i can play it with my eyes closed because its just so good and ive been playing this so many times! Beautiful
Hey I just wanted to say, this playing is amazing, absolutely amazing. I’ve never heard this piece played so perfectly other than Einaudi’s performances himself. You definitely deserve way more subscribers! Also I am learning this piece just using this UA-cam video and I can play the first few minutes so far! Are there any tips you could give me? I can’t stress enough on how great of a job you’ve done on this piece and I might be a bit late to this video but I’m glad I still discovered it :D
I think the clue is to find a pattern. This specially for the difficult parts, something like when you play with the rigth hand everytime you touch the key with your little finger the left's hand thumb plays also his key
@@RomeTheAviator I've got a cheap keyboard that I've had for years with a built-in sustain to it but yeah a sustain pedal would definitely be better, but I don't know to me the keys just don't sound the same when I'm playing along with this

@@RomeTheAviator Space is definitely an issue and thanks for the tip I've never even thought of weighted graded keys. The price isn't such a problem cause I can just put some money aside for it each month. Thanks for the help I really appreciate it!
For me it’s that bit at 50 seconds when your thumb has to jump down to D and to C# that’s most challenging. I’m getting the left hand arpeggios under my fingers pretty well. I got the book of Islands but mostly been working out of Einaudi’s first book of Graded Pieces for Piano. This one though I’m working on the full vers.

I found some sheet music at the vostok of a basket in my house for this, and while this was played so nicely... I have no memory of hearing this song in my life :') I will learn it anyway

Okay I’m working on the coda now, and those block chords spanning a tenth in the left hand are killing me. I might end up cheating and just play root-fifth-octave for Bm and G just like for D and A.
I don't know this one, so I'm going give it a listen. For now, I want to cover some pieces of other composers, but I'll definitely do more Einaudi. Thank you for watching my videos!
