I honestly think that the chapter is good but there are some things holding it back. The good: -It establishes the threat of the Doctor and how manipulative he could be. -It’s clever with some puzzles through what I experienced. -The twists (not going to say what there are but I will reveal them when enough time passes. -The Prototype and the Doctor (while stated we’re working togehter) are NOT on good terms which is good. -There’s a new health point mechanic. -We get to kill the doctor. -We have a free roam enemy (Yarnaby’ -While some people say that the Doctor was wasted, I digress. He was built up to be Chapter 4’s main antagonist. Mov took advantage of its own formula and subverted our expectations by building up the Doctor so when we actually do defeat him we would come to think that it’s all over only for more surprises in store. It comes to show just becuase we got rid of the main antagonist, it doesn’t mean our job is done. -Doey the Doughman. I will admit, I was skeptical abot Doey’s design at first but I was willing to give him a chance and I enjoyed Doey as a character and I got to live his design. Plus, unlike the BanBan marionette, Doey actually gets more screen time. And trust me when I say, they do much more with the whole ‘child becomes evil toy’ thing. But, I’ll edit this when enough time passes. -We have a swap wheel now. -The Omni hand does justify why we have a red hand again. (I’m also wondering if Mon Entertanment watched Invincible. But I did say there are some things holding the game back and I think I should get to what those things are: -Let’s get the dinosaur out of the room. They wasted Pianosaurus. I don’t know if they just couldn’t figure out what to do with the big guy but I think they could’ve done something by not making him and enemy, but an ally as well. We hear in the Yarnaby trailer, the sound of a Piano playing when Yarnaby is near. This would’ve implied that Pianosaurus is a good guy and he would be helping us against Yarnaby. And what do they do? They just kill him off. But for some reason, we _do_ hear the sound of a piano during our time in the No Man’s Land. (Was Mob trying to reference Star Wars with Pianosaurus pulling an Obi Wan Kenobi?) So yeah, to sum it up short; Pianosaurus was wasted. -I honestly think that the survival against Baba Chops was…okay and scary like Yarnaby and Doey. However, when it comes to her and the other Nightmare Critters, we don’t really learn anything about them, let alone have any cardboard cutouts with their voices. I’m serious, there’s nothing to the Nightmare Critters at all outside of them being enemies and there’s a bigger version of Baba Chops. -I will admit there are some bugs and bad gameplay moments like the elevator not working in one of the chases, you get to redo one of the mission and the gameplay can get a bit TOO bright. -Outside of Yarnaby and the Baba Chops sequence, there’s hardly that many horror elements. I’m willing to assume that’s it’s symbolic since we beat CatNap without running away this time, we gained a new hint of confidence but still. -It doesn’t address too much for the ARG outside of telling us the the Doctor is the main antagonist. It says there was a theatre incident and in the game we learn what the results of that incident was as there were 66 casualties. That’s all we learn. I also think that Jack’s death has something to do with one of the papers in the ARG as the teenager was begging for Playtime Co. not to do anything to him. -Speaking of the ARG, there’s one thing it blatantly ignores and I don’t like it. It ignores the Jester. The jester appeared in a silhouette in Harley’s warning picture and there was also a picture of a burnt toy with a jester hat bell that appeared in one of the images of the Theatre incident. I would’ve loved to see the jester…but they treat the jester as if he never existed and now he has to live in my head rent free until they acutally DO reveal him. Great. So from what I said, you probably think the chapter is bad, mid or average. I said it once and I’ll say it again. Safe Haven is a good chapter. While it’s not perfect it does have strengths going for it. I’m not going to criticise it for not adding Boxy Boo becuase he is the first Bigger Body and I would like to see him in the final chapter (and hopefully the jester). Also I’m pretty sure there are some patches they could apply to the game by getting rid of the bugs or expanding the game like they did to chapter 1 and 2 (or so I heard) give Pianosaurus the screen time he deserved. He got his own teaser trailer and they killed him off 15 seconds after his introduction. There had to have been some behind the scenes drama with him or something. Why would they design an entirely new character and make a whole ass theme song for him only to kill him off immediately. Something’s fishy. If that’s all they were gonna do with him Why didn’t they just use Bron, the dinosaur they already had. It would’ve been much better if there was a chase sequence with Pianosaurus and at the end of it you got cornered and that’s when Doey killed him. It would’ve made him feel like a lot less of a waste
From what I remember, I’m pretty sure in lore the nightmare critters were just thrown together and shoved out because the smiling critters bombed due to the catnap drama
i died laughing when Pianosaurus died because 1. in the Mob Entertainment Pianosaurus short when I first seen him he scared me 2. idk it was just funny to see him just die in 15 seconds
My main disappointment with the chapter was the nightmare critters. They were built up to be the anti-smiling critters but were only little minions. You could’ve replaced them with mini huggy wuggies and nothing would’ve changed. And I adore Yarnaby
Or if they wanted to keep the 'Critter' theme, they also briefly had the Ruined Critters in Chapter 4, they could have kept with those. They could also have used Pianosaurus in place of the bigger Baba Chops.

Pianosaurus only had like 10 seconds of screen time 😭 and they were teasing him for a while… I wish he had a bigger part. Ch4 is good but it only took a few months unlike the 2 year wait for chapter 3 But I hope they update the other chapters to match the rest of the game and animations quality
The game not being as good as chapter 3 in terms of gameplay is up for debate still. but don't you DARE talk about the graphics this games looks put chapter 3 to SHAME
I liked Ch4, but it absolutely needed a bit more polish. Also, the new health system took away a lot of the danger. I can see what Mob was trying because there were several parts where the player was getting outright swarmed and the old insta-kill whenever any monster, no matter how small, got to you wouldn't have worked in those bits, but it's almost like the player had too much health? You just have to keep running around in circles or just away from the monster until your health regenerates and it becomes an annoying cat-and-mouse while trying to solve the puzzles and it cheapens the sense of peril you're supposed to feel. They had a lot of good ideas and there's aspects of the game that are a lot better than previous chapters, but there's a lot of it that does feel rushed.
Once again, I feel sorry for the piano saurus. There are too few places to be active in the game... Even though there were so many videos. Doey was emotionally unstable, but I could see it quite normally. The introduction of smelling critters plush toys is as wonderful as ever.😊

Also doey the doughman plush is also available at Walmart. I saw him when I was in Tyler Walmart next to target and I said doey the doughman chapter 4 isn't out yet and I'm already seeing merch for him.
I hated it so, so much... The graphics are a massive step down from Chapter 3, which had absolutely gorgeous visuals. All of the antagonists, other than Doey, barely got to do anything (poor Pianosaurus). And even then, Doey wasn’t developed much as a character-the only time we learn about his three personalities is in a few documents and right before the final fight. It doubles down on the main problem I had with Chapter 3: it focused too much on gameplay and puzzles and not enough on the horror-the very thing we came for and didn’t get much of. But at least with Chapter 3, some of the puzzles were kinda fun at most. With Chapter 4, the puzzles feel tedious, there isn’t really a clear main motive like in the first three games because we’re just walking around aimlessly for the first hour, and because of how badly the puzzles are structured, it can get really, really boring. The animation is a noticeable downgrade from the first three games, probably because the original animator left, but Mob could have at least gotten an animator who was as experienced or more experienced than the original one. The Nightmare Critters, despite their build-up, were barely in the chapter-not even any cutouts. The Prototype Ollie reveal was predictable as hell, and the Huggy Wuggy ending didn’t make any sense. So yeah, that’s my opinion...
Agreed, but it’s far from hate. The story was overall good, and even tho there was much horror, there was definitely some jaw dropping moments. Overall this is my least favorite chapter but it still had some cool moments. I just hope mob can take these complaints and fix them

Ok chapter 4 (in my opinion) is ok. Not what I was expecting from it, I was expecting more from it. I loved yarnaby the best out of all the new characters. My least favorite is Doey… I don’t hate him, to me has the saddest origin of the toys so far, but everything else is good 8/10.
On the official shop, there is a new page where it says ‘characters’ and it has a lot of lore about the characters E.g. yarnabu was released for a wildlife foundation, pianosaurus was in a full set of music dinos and miss delight was in a set of a lot of other teacher toys just to name a few
I could see the arguemwnts of Doey being a lazy design, but at the same time, he’s inspired by Playdough. What else are you supposed to do with Playdough?
I understand if people don't like chapter 4 because of any buggy gameplay, but story wise and everything else was amazing I thought. My personal favorite chapter tbh! I just wish pianosaurus got more screentime, there were nightmare critters cutouts, and that doey's monster form was better. It's just too much, and not very scary because his face doesn't even look like a face. But everything else was amazing I thought.
Most of the villains In This chapter got the vanny treatment. The doctor was so butchered, very disappointing. They prob won’t even do merch off that awesome design because he is not a colorful marketable whacky animal. It’s just a bummer there is no figures for the more scary characters, like miss delight, the chopped in half dogday, even the evil version of catnap. I’m pretty sure the action figure of catnap got canceled but I could be wrong.
Yarnaby's jingle has my heart and soul! I think like a lot of games it did have its bugs because time crunch but aside from the bugs I say that Chapter 4 is amazing in its story, very on par with Chapter 3.
I feel like the places we went just were out of order honestly, like in chapter 3 it made sense, we went into different rooms in the playcare, but this just felt like we were running all over the place, similar to garten of banban, although a lot better. Kinda disappointed but I think the story was awesome

Chapter 4 is good as Chapter 3 which is a bit of a shame because Chapter 4 have potential to be a lot better and it suffers from few bugs area and Pianosaurus got done so dirty, we didn’t even get to see the Nightmare Critters & Yarnaby commercials, we didn’t tell us is the toys like Yarnaby, Pianosaurus and Nightmare Critters successful or not in the lore. In conclusion, I think Chapter 4 is fantastic but need a bit more cooking
0:34 yo $20 for a game is insane I could literally get it on mobile for like $5 or something if they ever release it but man $20 is too much in my opinion
chapter 4 was lowkey disappointing because i thought the doctor was gonna be this big bad guy but instead his boss fight was so underwhelming like yarnaby had a harder fight and he was supposed to be his “pet” as the doctor would say. and the game was really buggy too the lighting kept going all wonky, doeys jumpscares didn’t even work half the time it was just…yeah. lore wise i think the game was great though. and i’m positive they’ll fix all the bugs soon enough, i’m also glad we got a glimpse of the prototype that was pretty cool
My thoughts on Chapter 4: First. It’s a little to long. over 3 hours of playtime (literally (: ) is a little much for me. Second. Pianosaurus and the Nightmare Critters got too little respect. I am mixed on chapter 4 because of pianosaurse which I'm bummed about because I wanted to see more and I thought the doctor was a lackluster boss fight to. I don't hate it but I'm mixed on it and it's not my favorite chapter. What I did like was the story I mean the ending was amazing (spoilers) huggy wuggy returned which everyone thought was dead and Ollie was the prototype but if they would've done more with the nightmare critters, pianosaurse and the doctor it would've been a great chapter.

Here's my reasons why (these are my own opinions and everyone is entitled so if you disagree that's cool too) I may also talk about spoilers so please don't read if you haven't watched. > > * Pianosaurus - Wish he was more involved considering the push of merch and the ARG of him, also having his own jingle, I may be biased in this as he was my favourite character for chapter 4. * Nightmare critters - Where were they? yes we had the mini toy versions, but again, there was no VHS tape, no actual introduction to them really, are they also going to be a merch push? what was the reason of describing that they used to get along with the smiling critters to then have no context about it within the game? * Doey - I enjoyed the character but they started to confuse me with the "three" souls inside of him, we learnt about the troubled child, but (and I could be getting confused cause I genuinely was lost with his back story) was Jack the troublesome child? and why didn't we really get to hear the other children's backstories? * Poppy and Ollie - Wasn't surprised about the Elliot Ludwig thing nor the fact that Ollie was the prototype, I think there could have been more secrecy about it? I dunno, it seemed too obvious. * Craftycorn and Hoppy Hopscotch - we saw the smaller toys, but I would have LOVED if they gave us the bigger bodies version of crafty corn and hoppy hopscotch, in the last chapter there were theories that they maybe survived, it would have been nice to see a cameo of them in the safe haven? If the smiling critters weren't going to be in the game, why leave their cardboard cut outs that we've already heard? * Kissy Missy - absolutely adored that she came back, and they hinted to the prototype attacking her, but I'm not so certain. She was burnt, why didn't they go more into the story of how kissy was attacked....and by who exactly? * And finally, the doctor and the theatre incident - I still have no idea what the theatre incident was, did I miss that important information in the game? and why was the doctor so easy to kill? yarnaby I understand, I enjoyed the challenge with yarnaby, but I was truly disappointed in the doctor "boss fight". Anyway, thanks for reading if you got this far. Overall the game playthrough was enjoyable to watch and play, there just seemed to be some major missing moments that could have taken the game so much farther.

After playing the game myself, i can confirm that chapter 4 is a bit buggy, a bit less higher graphics from chapter 3. Did i like the chapter, yes i did! But something felt off, mainly the graphics and characters. The graphics are still amazing but Chapter 3 is still higher (mainly because they spend so much time on that one so that makes sense) and characters.. yikes. My biggest complain about this chapter are the character usage. I don't understand why they made Pianosuarous so hyped yet he only gets 20 seconds of screen time. He could've been the enemy at the Nightmare critters area (the one where you get chased by Baba Chops.) The nightmare critters, even though they are a big amount felt forgettable. I honestly remember two of there names and thats it, they didn't feel like much and just felt like a filler. Yarnaby was used at it's best and i felt like Doey felt a bit underused. He has the ability to transform into anything yet he doesn't do that as much, he didn't even use those long spider like arms he used ro kill pianosuarous. Sure his monster form is terrifying but felt like something was missing. The bugs were.. eh.. something but overal the chapter was nice. Still, i prefer chapter 3 for horror and visuals. (OH AND THE DOCTOR, yea they missed a lot. And i mean a lot, they had such an amazing idea for him but kinda wasted it. Not to mention we NEVER saw his real body form like in the trailers so that's disappointing.)

The doctor was the best thing in this chapter honestly his dialogue really sounded calm and manipulative.. his design was insane!.. he should of got more justice. But overall harley Sawyer is definitely the best villian of this chapter, we learnt more about him in that tape. I liked how this chapter was revolved around harley, im sure Harley is gonna make a big comeback. One of the best villains ever. His voice gave me the chills.. The most badass villian you could ever ask for.. and his brain was inside that chamber that was him,. And he was connected up to the TV's Best villian ever top notch acting!.. and he is very threatening and manipulative, that doctor top is awesome! Justice for Harley!, do merch of him mob. I know hes gonna come back lile William afton.

Chapter four is surprising my 2nd favourite Pros: a lot of monsters, good designs, good gameplay. Cons: to little of pianosarus, ALOT of bugs especially when Yarnaby wasn’t even in his bossfight. Game rankings and for what reasons: 1# Poppy playtime 3 Very long and actually scary sometimes, and DogDay chase was very cool 2# Poppy Playtime 4 Really good lore love it 3# Poppy Playtime 1 Was short but good, and if not for this one the game wouldn’t exist 4# Poppy Playtime 2 Nothing stands out, the mini games were kind of boring Musical memorie is the best though

My main disappointment with the chapter was the nightmare critters. They were built up to be the anti-smiling critters but were only little minions. You could’ve replaced them with mini huggy wuggies and nothing would’ve changed.

Or if they wanted to keep the 'Critter' theme, they also briefly had the Ruined Critters in Chapter 4, they could have kept with those. They could also have used Pianosaurus in place of the bigger Baba Chops.

Pianosaurus only had like 10 seconds of screen time 😭 and they were teasing him for a while… I wish he had a bigger part. Also the animations on some of the orphan mini critters are kinda incomplete looking. Idk I don’t know anything about animation. I’m sorry if I made any of y’all mad but this is my honest opinion.

I liked Ch4, but it absolutely needed a bit more polish.
Also, the new health system took away a lot of the danger. I can see what Mob was trying because there were several parts where the player was getting outright swarmed and the old insta-kill whenever any monster, no matter how small, got to you wouldn't have worked in those bits, but it's almost like the player had too much health? You just have to keep running around in circles or just away from the monster until your health regenerates and it becomes an annoying cat-and-mouse while trying to solve the puzzles and it cheapens the sense of peril you're supposed to feel.
They had a lot of good ideas and there's aspects of the game that are a lot better than previous chapters, but there's a lot of it that does feel rushed.

Once again, I feel sorry for the piano saurus. There are too few places to be active in the game... Even though there were so many videos. Doey was emotionally unstable, but I could see it quite normally.

I hated it so, so much...
The graphics are a massive step down from Chapter 3, which had absolutely gorgeous visuals. All of the antagonists, other than Doey, barely got to do anything (poor Pianosaurus). And even then, Doey wasn’t developed much as a character-the only time we learn about his three personalities is in a few documents and right before the final fight.
It doubles down on the main problem I had with Chapter 3: it focused too much on gameplay and puzzles and not enough on the horror-the very thing we came for and didn’t get much of. But at least with Chapter 3, some of the puzzles were kinda fun at most. With Chapter 4, the puzzles feel tedious, there isn’t really a clear main motive like in the first three games because we’re just walking around aimlessly for the first hour, and because of how badly the puzzles are structured, it can get really, really boring.
The animation is a noticeable downgrade from the first three games, probably because the original animator left, but Mob could have at least gotten an animator who was as experienced or more experienced than the original one. The Nightmare Critters, despite their build-up, were barely in the chapter-not even any cutouts. The Prototype Ollie reveal was predictable as hell, and the Huggy Wuggy ending didn’t make any sense.
So yeah, that’s my opinion...
Agreed, but it’s far from hate. The story was overall good, and even tho there was much horror, there was definitely some jaw dropping moments. Overall this is my least favorite chapter but it still had some cool moments. I just hope mob can take these complaints and fix them

Ok chapter 4 (in my opinion) is ok. Not what I was expecting from it, I was expecting more from it. I loved yarnaby the best out of all the new characters. My least favorite is Doey… I don’t hate him, to me has the saddest origin of the toys so far, but everything else is good 8/10.

On the official shop, there is a new page where it says ‘characters’ and it has a lot of lore about the characters E.g. yarnabu was released for a wildlife foundation, pianosaurus was in a full set of music dinos and miss delight was in a set of a lot of other teacher toys just to name a few

I just wish pianosaurus got more screentime, there were nightmare critters cutouts, and that doey's monster form was better. It's just too much, and not very scary because his face doesn't even look like a face. But everything else was amazing I thought.

Most of the villains In This chapter got the vanny treatment. The doctor was so butchered, very disappointing. They prob won’t even do merch off that awesome design because he is not a colorful marketable whacky animal. It’s just a bummer there is no figures for the more scary characters, like miss delight, the chopped in half dogday, even the evil version of catnap. I’m pretty sure the action figure of catnap got canceled but I could be wrong.

Yarnaby's jingle has my heart and soul! I think like a lot of games it did have its bugs because time crunch but aside from the bugs I say that Chapter 4 is amazing in its story, very on par with Chapter 3.
I feel like the places we went just were out of order honestly, like in chapter 3 it made sense, we went into different rooms in the playcare, but this just felt like we were running all over the place, similar to garten of banban, although a lot better. Kinda disappointed but I think the story was awesome

Chapter 4 is good as Chapter 3 which is a bit of a shame because Chapter 4 have potential to be a lot better and it suffers from few bugs area and Pianosaurus got done so dirty, we didn’t even get to see the Nightmare Critters & Yarnaby commercials, we didn’t tell us is the toys like Yarnaby, Pianosaurus and Nightmare Critters successful or not in the lore. In conclusion, I think Chapter 4 is fantastic but need a bit more cooking

chapter 4 was lowkey disappointing because i thought the doctor was gonna be this big bad guy but instead his boss fight was so underwhelming like yarnaby had a harder fight and he was supposed to be his “pet” as the doctor would say.
and the game was really buggy too the lighting kept going all wonky, doeys jumpscares didn’t even work half the time it was just…yeah.
lore wise i think the game was great though.
and i’m positive they’ll fix all the bugs soon enough, i’m also glad we got a glimpse of the prototype that was pretty cool

My thoughts on Chapter 4: First. It’s a little to long. over 3 hours of playtime (literally (: ) is a little much for me. Second. Pianosaurus and the Nightmare Critters got too little respect. I’m glad we got to see them even for a little bit, but they were either just small nuisances or underdeveloped characters. Third. Welcome back Lémon and RIP Doey :__) Last. It’s nice to see Mob Entertainment confirm such great theories :)

I am mixed on chapter 4 because of pianosaurse which I'm bummed about because I wanted to see more and I thought the doctor was a lackluster boss fight to. I don't hate it but I'm mixed on it and it's not my favorite chapter. What I did like was the story I mean the ending was amazing (spoilers) huggy wuggy returned which everyone thought was dead and Ollie was the prototype but if they would've done more with the nightmare critters, pianosaurse and the doctor it would've been a great chapter.

I have to admit, I'm a little frustrated. Here's my reasons why (these are my own opinions and everyone is entitled so if you disagree that's cool too) I may also talk about spoilers so please don't read if you haven't watched.

* Pianosaurus - Wish he was more involved considering the push of merch and the ARG of him, also having his own jingle, I may be biased in this as he was my favourite character for chapter 4.
* Nightmare critters - Where were they? yes we had the mini toy versions, but again, there was no VHS tape, no actual introduction to them really, are they also going to be a merch push? what was the reason of describing that they used to get along with the smiling critters to then have no context about it within the game?
* Doey - I enjoyed the character but they started to confuse me with the "three" souls inside of him, we learnt about the troubled child, but (and I could be getting confused cause I genuinely was lost with his back story) was Jack the troublesome child? and why didn't we really get to hear the other children's backstories?
* Poppy and Ollie - Wasn't surprised about the Elliot Ludwig thing nor the fact that Ollie was the prototype, I think there could have been more secrecy about it? I dunno, it seemed too obvious.
* Craftycorn and Hoppy Hopscotch - we saw the smaller toys, but I would have LOVED if they gave us the bigger bodies version of crafty corn and hoppy hopscotch, in the last chapter there were theories that they maybe survived, it would have been nice to see a cameo of them in the safe haven? If the smiling critters weren't going to be in the game, why leave their cardboard cut outs that we've already heard?
* Kissy Missy - absolutely adored that she came back, and they hinted to the prototype attacking her, but I'm not so certain. She was burnt, why didn't they go more into the story of how kissy was attacked....and by who exactly?
* And finally, the doctor and the theatre incident - I still have no idea what the theatre incident was, did I miss that important information in the game? and why was the doctor so easy to kill? yarnaby I understand, I enjoyed the challenge with yarnaby, but I was truly disappointed in the doctor "boss fight".
Anyway, thanks for reading if you got this far. Overall the game playthrough was enjoyable to watch and play, there just seemed to be some major missing moments that could have taken the game so much farther.

After playing the game myself, i can confirm that chapter 4 is a bit buggy, a bit less higher graphics from chapter 3. Did i like the chapter, yes i did! But something felt off, mainly the graphics and characters. The graphics are still amazing but Chapter 3 is still higher (mainly because they spend so much time on that one so that makes sense) and characters.. yikes.
My biggest complain about this chapter are the character usage. I don't understand why they made Pianosuarous so hyped yet he only gets 20 seconds of screen time. He could've been the enemy at the Nightmare critters area (the one where you get chased by Baba Chops.) The nightmare critters, even though they are a big amount felt forgettable. I honestly remember two of there names and thats it, they didn't feel like much and just felt like a filler. Yarnaby was used at it's best and i felt like Doey felt a bit underused. He has the ability to transform into anything yet he doesn't do that as much, he didn't even use those long spider like arms he used ro kill pianosuarous. Sure his monster form is terrifying but felt like something was missing. The bugs were.. eh.. something but overal the chapter was nice.
Still, i prefer chapter 3 for horror and visuals.
(OH AND THE DOCTOR, yea they missed a lot. And i mean a lot, they had such an amazing idea for him but kinda wasted it. Not to mention we NEVER saw his real body form like in the trailers so that's disappointing.)

The doctor was the best thing in this chapter honestly his dialogue really sounded calm and manipulative.. his design was insane!.. he should of got more justice. But overall harley Sawyer is definitely the best villian of this chapter, we learnt more about him in that tape. I liked how this chapter was revolved around harley, im sure Harley is gonna make a big comeback. One of the best villains ever.

Pros: a lot of monsters, good designs, good gameplay.
Cons: to little of pianosarus, ALOT of bugs especially when Yarnaby wasn’t even in his bossfight.
