I know DC has polarity. So I was hesistant to repair the cctv power adapter that has been completely severed on the first place. When I tried repairing the severed power cord, the camera did not work. I think I may have ruined a perfectly good camera unit now.
Thanks for sharing, you can only find out with another power supply or ruined camera. Maybe camera has ruined when broke power adapter..
@@TechscrewDIY I tried switching the 2 wires after I may may ruined the camera. Fortunately It worked this time. Thank God.

I don't have any soldering tools...can I just cut part of the protector off and rewire those wires?
better buy soldering kit, it cost only $10 and can help saving hundreds of dollars in very many situations.
@@TechscrewDIY I ended up cutting part of the protector off and wiring those wires. The plug now works...not sure how safe it is...but it works!
If i did this chernobyl 2 would happen in my house. Huge respect for doing this
