This is the answer to anyone that claims that photography cannot be art.

Does anyone know how the light painting parts of this video were recorded? 0:23-0:30 for example, where the image slowly builds.

How can i learn his techniques online? Are there any recommended online courses?

I had looked too some time ago and I didn't find much online. Few years ago I had a workshop with a photographer that knew him and had worked for him in Paris. We replicated Roversi's techniques, led by the photographer, but my final results were (to me) quite disappointing. The main issue is that, if you don't have his conceptual and artistic vision of the image before shooting, you can also refine your techniques, but you'll get easily erratic or lacklustre results. It's a bit like painting copying the style of a great painter without being him. In any case you can learn a lot, experimenting with his techniques.

Learn in real time. Grab your camera and tripod, a dark room and any non LED torch and you’ll be surprised what you can make.
