- This video shows the masterful process of creating the ear cups and the Japanese traditional "Urushi" lacquer by a 110 years old artisan group in Bordeaux. This housing is used for the Fostex TH900 (shown in video) and Fostex TH900MK2 Premium Stereo Headphones.
TH900mk2 is the second generation of the TH900, one of the most renowned premium dynamic headphones in the market, which newly features detachable connectors for replace-ment of the standard unbalanced cable (equivalent to model ET-H3.0N7UB). The optional balanced cable, model ET-H3.0N7BL will also be sold separately to meet growing demands for balanced connection with various headphone amps offering balanced 4-pin XLR out.

i love how the video makes it seem like a classy, luxury audiophile headphone with the traditional lacquer and classical music in the background but when you listen to the headphone it's a bass monster that is great for modern genres like electronic, hip hop, etc.
I have so much love for these headphones. I hope to pass them down to my children when I pass.
Side note: the chemical in poison oak and poison ivy (and many other plants) that is responsible for the itchiness and blistering of the skin upon contact is called urushiol. It was named after this tree.
End game headphones. I have others and I always come back to my TH 900 mk2s.
There's nothing quite like Japanese artisans.
wow!!
Says "TH-900 Mk2" like 50 times in the video and then in the end result shows a Mk1 LOL
use gloves for all chain production ;)
