The guitar tone and riffs are on point, melodic and not overly chuggy and boring. The bass is tasteful and at a good level volume wise, same for the drums. Great vocals and great lyrics too. It’s just a tight package of an album. One of the few I’d give 10/10

Souvenirs is just one of those timeless albums. Nothing else really sounds quite like this album does. I put it right up there with ERRA's Impulse and Augment. Such a masterpiece.
Invent Animate's first two albums are really good also, a bit more on the melodic side. Oh, and I haven't listened in forever since they suck now but northlane's first two albums.

As I write this, this is the first time I'm hearing this song and the lyrics completely express how I feel and look at life. Since I can remember, I was told it takes hard work to achieve your dreams. So, like the lyrics say, I sacrificed. Sacrificed time with family, weekends, hanging out with friends, time to meet new people, all in pursuit of my dreams. Now 23, still in college and it makes my life impossible. I have great grades but it's one obstacle after another to graduate. Outside of school it's a lot of participation all to be rewarded like if I put normal effort. What makes it worse is that sometimes people who you know don't work as hard as you and they seem to receive more help and rewards than you. Makes you really wonder, is all that effort and sacrifice actually worth it? Should I just stop and settle for having a normal life with a normal outcome? I really don't want to do that, I believe I'm worth a lot, but it rest can push you down when you see it didn't make a difference to outwork the rest, they're in the same place or better. I can only hope that one day, my aspirations and efforts will get their due recognition.

These guys have talent! They don't copy ideas from other bands, they try to create their own metalcore style, even if the competition is big today...... They're true artists! It's worth to buy their music!
I hear so many ppl compare these guys to so many bands. In my opinion. Nobody sounds like these guys, or them like any other. This is a different style. Especially vocally. Its masterful. I can think of a ton of bad ass bands that sound similar to each other. Not these guys though.

I don't know about you, but for me Novelists with Matteo (the old vocalist) are like poetry with guitars.
Matteo has a new band called Sal3m & it's very much old novelists but improved upon, I only found out about them myself today!
