Altamont Corridor Express (ACE) double draft train PART 2 Ft. Tamien Yard Movement

Ground Relay. That was the supposed mechanism at fault for San Jose bound ACE 05 on the Friday morning, March 24th, 2023. After sitting at Lathrop causing a great delay of close to 3 hours and a stuck ACE07 just sitting behind it, it was ordered for ACE07 to couple and combine with ACE05 to operate as one train. A double draft. Now we follow ACEX 3103 (F40PH-3C) as it leads the train out of Fremont/Centerville station, through College Park/Santa Clara and out of San Jose Diridon to where you get a rare glimpse on how the double draft gets disassembled at ACE's Tamien Storage Yard.
