Team Secret is looking good so far. I was worried about NDG's departure, but the new additions 2GE and willd0reo seem to be showing great youthful power and adaptability.
Their biggest question is whether they can perform to their usual potential against the top Pacific teams and there is a concern that they will stumble badly in important games such as the playoffs.
I've always felt like their biggest hurdle against the top dogs of Pacific was raw aim. Borkum, NDG, and Jessievash (though he does frag out of his mind at certain games), all felt like they were a step behind the top players of pacific. Their mechanics just weren't good enough. But with 2GE and WildOreo along with Invy and Jremy, I feel like they finally have players with mechanics on par with the top teams. Now it all comes down to strats and macro plays.

@@pyeondal.1095 I'm not saying Jessie is mechanically unskilled, only that he isn't consistent with it. Some games he looks like Leo from Fnatic, going 10 - 0. Other times, he looks like fuken Havoc, going 0 kills an entire series.
He isn't reliable is what I'm saying, which is why WildOreo is so helpful to the squad because he's actually consistent with his aim and mechanics

The real question is how well does this new Team Secret lineup go up against the stronger Pacific teams like Gen.G, PRX, DRX, and T1? I'm glad 2GE and Wild0reoo are also good fraggers. But until they start beating the stronger Pacific teams, I'm not convinced this team is great.
Bad analogy, they already beat those teams multiple times. No underdogs were able to take a match from those teams except TS. Obviously, 2ge and wildoreo are the better sentinel/initiator and controller than their previous players. They played their 2 matches well even though they are still in adjustment with their new roster. All they need is time.
@@chn92694 Yeah but keep in mind they beat Paper Rex and DRX when Warbirds as coach, obviously with Dummy as coach the playbook is going to be different.
@@1nterzept661 While I agree that removing warbirds was a questionable move by TS' management, but I do still think their comp is much cleaner than their previous comp. I wish warbirds stayed with dummy. Dummy has some great credentials and experience tho. Warbirds never played in pro scene, dummy was an experienced pro player. Like I said, give them time. They only had 2 weeks of prep with their new roster.

I think he knew where Oreo was but didn't wanted to peak him and take a 1v1 fight. So he chose to drone, tag him and wallbang Odin spray, but he was too close and Oreo read him well.

3 of them come from an english speaking country, yes zekken is half american/filipino but filipino use english a lot in daily basis. Sacy and johnqt english is really fluent because their pronounce is really good so it doesnt matter, compare that to GE member it doesnt even come close. Benkai really fell off since prx, it's sad seeing him like this. And it's not about the aim it's the basic game sense that it's lacking, and as an IGL you can't afford those kind of mistakes.

I think the reason Secret are struggling in Ascent compared to last year is because of Jremy's playstyle. While I do think he's a better Jett player than Dubstep overall, I think Dubstep's ability to take space so aggressively and fast made their attack side on Ascent really easy. It gave Invy and Borkum space to lurk around. Jremy, on the other hand, plays very careful. He never entries alone and when he takes space, it's always with support utility. Dubstep just goes in, gets kills, then finds a spot to hide in till his team can come.
I think Jremy needs more of that solo confidence on Ascent. As a Jett, you can get away with so much stupid shit because of the dash.
