German Chess Pieces- Deutsche Schachfiguren

I love German Chess Pieces. Because of its simplicity, its practical work in chess board, and even the aesthetics stripped that make them beautiful. Some are landmarks of chess pieces history, like the Uhlig ( I haven’t one unfortunately ) but also the Bohemia or Lepzig sets.
All players that play in German Opens or chess collectors know some of the video sets, and one has a very particular historical significance (The Deutsche Bundesform).

In this video, eighteen german sets , well …seventeen, because one is an Indian version-inspiration in Bohemia, a good one indeed!
The Music, German of course, of three contemporary Germanic composers (twentieth century) that I love.

That set appearing around 5:20 reminds me of the Filipino sets ... I wonder if there's a connection. Keep up the good work!

The Knights from the Modern Series have a cobra shape to them. The little taste from India on a German inspired set. I have a Modern Series set and love it. It was awesome to see where it got its influence from.

Thanks for this and the link you posted to the chess-museum in German. Thanks to that I managed to find a 'logo' of the famous Uhlig factory! By the way, do you know if they were also the authors of the glass-eyed knights? (In the catalog in that page, I could see that they mention it.. "Glasaugen"

Interessante que Você arranja as peças de acordo com a hierarquia e força, assim a Torre aparece no seu lugar 'de fato e de direito', logo ao lado da Dama... E assim fica evidente a desproporção de quase todos os jogos: as Torres são pequenas... Acho que só alguns artesãos (notadamente de Dieppe, França, ainda faziam Torres altas durante o Século passado.
