- KAIZEN. The Japanese philosophy of constant improvement.
To us, Kaizen is about striving to become better than we were yesterday, even in the smallest details. It’s about never giving up, and never settling for mediocrity. The Kaizen mindset inspires us to continuously refine our craft, and stay focused on creativity and innovation. Since Kendama USA was founded, we have approached our Kendama play, our products, and our company with this concept at our core. We have come a long way since we started, but we’re always looking for ways to improve. With input from players all over the globe, we have made improvements to our production process, our handle shape, and the finest details of our products. The result is a premium Kendama specially crafted for the serious enthusiast. Each part of this Kendama was meticulously thought out by the Kendama USA team with the future of Kendama play in mind.
The Kaizen Kendama features a 3 piece construction with traditional Japanese handle assembly. We have updated the Ken shape for precision balance, and the tama bevel has been widened for enhanced play. We’re also excited about our refined silk paint, which adds extra durability and grip. Balance and spike length were a very important consideration when designing this line. On many of our favorite classic style Kendamas, it would be really frustrating when the spike length was perfect out of the bag, but would settle far too low on the Ken after playing for a few days. The Kaizen bevel intentionally starts shorter out of the box, so that it will settle into an ideal length after a few jam sessions without easily going past the “point of no return”.
We are proud to finally release the KAIZEN Kendama. Available today in beech, padauk, and cherry wood models.

It's like the release of a new iPhone
Jake needs to be the next Keynote speaker for Apple...
I like his multiple use of the word "Premium." It really brings out the extravagance in the premium abilities of this premium point-of-no-return-type-of-premium-spike kendama.
MUCH RESPECT.
So pumped about this new line. I can't wait to see how much more kendama grows over the next few years because of the ambition of this company. Keep it up KenUSA (y)
Just ordered my red wine kaizen can't wait for it to come in!!!
Great cinematography, great kendamas.
It also looks fun to play with
Thank you!
On point.
I loved your Carson valley kendama edit!
It looks so cool
This makes me want to play again
so this is what there using for the 2014 pro models hmm cool!
Yessss! Finally The Sickest Ken! From the sickest company!
I got one now
I got a paduak and for some reason it was glue for me already I'm serious it never dulls out and the spike feels glued
It hasnt dulled that much since
I just ordered one a beach pink
Revolution
I need one
Is the kaizen cherry silk white good
Nice
KAIZEN much respect (for people who can land Ring with it)
Just to ask you guys, where do you get the silk paint
I have owned 2 kendamas, both of which are silk kendamas. Can you lighthouse on a glossy translucent kendama? How much harder is it?
Tight
kendama usa i ordered 3 ozoras ad i ordered it in december. And i have been waiting for 2 weeks already
Wyatt?
Preach
Is the full wood kaizen kendama a good kendama for lunar balance n lighthouse?
Plz reply
which wood is easier to land tricks on
Do you glue your spike or not?
I got to play with one
Had a question for the kendama usa team. In regards to your kaizen ghost silk, is it almost like a clear rubberized paint?
The Ghost silk is a full silk paint with no color or tint. It feels and plays just like a silk without any color. Its amazing. I love mine.
How come the zach yourd v4 pro model is so light? I compared it to a turner Thorne pro model and its heavier and better for stuff like hand rolls?
The Zack yourd pro model has a sassafras tama. Sassafras is a light wood with amazing grain, which you can see in the Zack yourd pro model. the regular pro models, which are all beech (except Alex smith with maple wood) are heavier than the Zack yourd pro model
Does the cherry on cherry ever hets tacky?
Is paduk heavier than cherry wood
So i probably use my Kendama 1-2 hours a day. How many hours should you get out of one kendama before considering a new one?
+ThouArt1 what do you recommend, a tribute half split or a kaizen half split
So if the Tama Hole is Bigger and The Spike is Longer then is the optimal for competitions? Also when making these changes was the guy thinking about sex?
***** So it's not optimal for compititions? That sucks.
well technically it would depend on the competition
Ok rlly get off here 12 yr old
I love my Grape PADAUK but mine is soooooo unbalanced.
Is the padauk heavy?
Still have mine, the tip is flat and the ball has no more paint on it, still works tho, Can’t lunar for shit though haha
Jake I believe you could be the next Jony Ive.
I want a kaizer kendama
No such thing.
I actually think that was the ruler of the Soviet Union once upon a time.. Kaizer Wilhelm III sounds about right.
Do the Silk Half Split Kendamas have a wider bevel?
Pretty sure they do.
Aidan A Actually, they do. I contacted them,
But half splits are kind of lighter
Shrapnel yeah they do, i own one
I'm 100% new to Kendama and never used one so which one should I buy?
i recommend a tk16 or a tribute
Depends on what you want. If you want a durable kendama that will last you long I strongly recommend tk-16. A half split is good too but the spike will get really short so you might have to super glue. Kaizen is perfect too. Any of those brands are good kendamas you should get
is it common for the string and bead come out
of the bevel in the tama????
please reply
Jenna Medina when i do airplanes it comes out
Jenna Medina yes it is
Jake Wiens If you ever read this comment, which would you get, Kaizen padauk natural, or with a color (grape or mint)? (if they had the natural but with a ghost silk paint, that would be great, but they don't)
They do have a paduak natty ghost silk
hey TheCosmicPJ !! I would totally get the mint padauk! That color combo is amazing and the padauk with the silk paint is baller. Thanks for asking!
-Jake
***** Hey Jake, on one of your unboxing videos, you unboxed your own Pro Model. I was wondering what you meant when you said "You don't get chips or dents, you get craters." Was that just a joke because of the name of your Pro Model?
+AmesaceGames I prefer the kaizen padauk carmel silk its so nice i want one so bad!
+TheCosmicPJ I would totally recocmend the mint padouk!
Song
Nothing can be better then a mugen
It really doesnt matter, Its how people play and what kendama theyre used to. And by that way, Its "than*
The Box By the way, use apostrophes :)
Aaron Santos By the way, use periods. Do I win?
Girls are better then Mugens.
Mr Bignuts FourSevenSix No.
song name?? :D
i need it to fill in paint chips
0:37 and 0:42 had different spike lengths
+ThouArt1 there saying when you play more your spike gets longer
What is the best kendama for a beginner like me?
Hey Michael! I would suggest one of the beech Kaizens or a Classic Tribute. The Tribute will be super easy for you to re string if you need to and the cups will not come off. If you want to have the new silk paint and the options of spike length you can get the KAIZEN. Either way is great. Thanks for asking!
+Kendama USA Hey Kendama USA, if I get a Tribute Kendama, I cant take the cups off.So if I cant take it off, Is there a way I can make the Spikes sharper? (IF ANYONE ELSE KNOWS, PLEASE TELL)
+Guy Gaming Tribute Kendama are built so that you don't need to take them apart to restring. They don't come apart.
it's best for u to get a cheap kendama first then try master beginner tricks then u try getting a good brand kendama
your mom
it is like introducing a new iphone hahaha
Is padauk heavy
Is the to mod part of kaizen?
TJ*
Footballoverload yea
Footballoverload all 2014 and 2016 mods are based off the kaizen shape
make a blue one
They did yahhhhhh
Dayum, i want the mint padauk.
Me to
Same
bought
What is "traditional stringing?"
Look at the tributes. They have recognizably different holes for the string, and this is traditional stringing which you will see on many early kendamas. Best stringing method in my opinion.
Aidan A Whats the difference? What makes it a better stringing method?
The pull up for lunar is not a pain on the traditional unlike the tribute. :)
is it better than a mugen?
Nothing's better than a mugen
TheATV I think two Mugens would be better then one Mugen...
My kaizen rubber drop off very quickly
I used to be really good and now 2 years later I suck :(
first like
If it's easier to play, what's the point?
More possibilities.
No one likes the metal piece that secures the cups together because it disables the way you spin the ken to lunar.
Tino Romero2 you can't call someone a dumbass while using the wrong "you're".
Didn't mean to start a flame war lol
Well, I agree with the string hole in the tribute, but I don't get the bevel thing, even if there is more possibilities.
The paint sucks.. I just bought this kendama and all i can see are scratches everywhere..
Kaizen lunar balance is trash
First dislike cause I hate the brand
The brand hates you
hahaha!
But his voice sounds awesome, it'ts like watching an apple commercial!
The worst part is I bought won and put a homegrown seal over the logo since the kaizen was to big to cover.
There's a very good chance you wouldn't even be playing with a kendama if it weren't for the grassroots KenUSA team. Know your history.
Is the padauk heavy?
