She says that the film is not about whether Snowden is a hero or a traitor; instead, she says, it humanizes and grounds him. To be honest I think she handled that last question very well she answered it straightforward and I don't think she was rude at all. what she stated was a fact she did not sign up for a TV movie there is nothing wrong with TV movies but a contract is a contract if she agreed to do a movie that would appear in theaters then that's what she agreed to and like she said nothing has been finalized and she doesn't have all the facts.
Besides nobody would want to watch a TV movie with tiny budget after the scope of first 3 films.

Jess Rodrigues yes there was supposed to be ascendant which was part 2 but it was cancelled as they wanted to make it a tv show but shailene didn’t want to be in a tv show.
that was the plan to have another theatrically release but they kept changing their minds, they were going to change it to a TV movie, then a TV series, and the cast didn't sign up to do that. I wish they did make another movie, but Allegiant was too rushed and they didn't include enough, i don't even think they got to writing the script for ascendant TBH

Cancelled fourth film
A theatrical sequel titled The Divergent Series: Ascendant, based on the latter half of the Allegiant book, was originally meant to wrap up the series and was originally set to be released on March 24, 2017, before being pushed back to June 9, 2017, with Lee Toland Krieger directing after Robert Schwentke backed out. The plans for a film were later changed to a television series following the disappointing box office return.
Cancelled television series
In July 2016, after Allegiant underperformed at the box office, it was announced that Lionsgate would instead release Ascendant as a television film that would serve as a lead-in for a television spinoff series, in which both projects would add new characters to the story, moving beyond the books.
In September 2016, Shailene Woodley stated on Today that the film versus television decision was not finalized, and that it was "a limbo waiting game". In the same interview Woodley spoke despairingly of the chances of her returning to the project in a television format, although noting that she would be open to returning to it as a theatrical film. In February 2017, when it was announced that the fourth film will be a television project, it was announced Woodley had backed out of her starring role. In August 2017, Starz and Lionsgate Television announced that they were beginning to develop the TV series with director Lee Toland Krieger and writer Adam Cozad remaining attached from the original project. In December 2018, Starz announced they were no longer seeking to develop a television series, citing the lack of interest from the cast and network executives.
Yet most documents, pretty much all of them don't support what Snowden claims.
Nor did he ever, not once, raise concerns with the NSA.

I'm glad she answered the Divergent question so truly, all the actors in it said the same thing, I honestly have Lionsgate and even the script writers of Allegiant, they shouldn't of messed the actors around, and since they were all fine with doing another movie they should've just done that, and now it's too late, you can tell how long ago they made the movie by the length of Shailene's hair, they made a big mistake and upset lots of fans.
I don't believe they were gonna do it anyway, because the movie ended with them saving the city from the memory serum and that's how the book ended, minus a few chapters and the epilogue
