I've caught my fear share of big fish over the years of my fishing so I try to release everything that's over 10lb if it can go back, I love fishing, I love the hook up and the fight but love seeing these big guys swim back to the depths to fight another day :-) Tight lines
@@Reel-Kiwi-Fishing always good sometimes just to make that shift, and it pays off had some of the best fishing of my life in that area still hold a special place in my heart for Tiri though cant beat a paddle over and fish around there very special place. Tight Lines Bro

Hi TD This is the Okuma 7ft Nanomatrix 8-12kg - it's a little heavy and think there is a lighter version but also OIkuma have just dropped a new model called the Kotare and think they do a 7'6 soft bait one which would be pretty nice to use... Tight lines
@@Reel-Kiwi-Fishing I really like the Nanomatrix rods. I’ve been using the 10 foot Nano 3 piece the last few months off the rocks and love it. Grunty but light weight and packs down small. Just picked up an Abu Veritas 4.0 12’ 3 piece which I haven’t had a chance to use yet but they seem to be the business. Quite keen for a 14-15’ Nano too ..
@@treehuggernz I use to work for Abu about 10yrs ago and not sure what there longer Veritas rods are like now - I think the 12ft was a lot more slim line and lighter than there 14'6 which was very heavy and chunky. The 14 Nano is nice and slim and light just like your 10ft - can also look at the mad dog which has the LR guides 👍 Tight lines

Yea was pretty quite with small fish there for awhile but the little shift changed things up for us :-)
