Am i the only person that doesn't miss Bedard and 23-24 that's also loving 24-25? Comparing a carryover crop to the generational first overall pick from the previous year isn't exactly the lense I'd use to judge the crop. I don't think anyone from series 1 has played over 50 NHL games yet. I also think people are overlooking Stankoven, he forced his way into a deep Dallas Stars lineup and is almost a point per game and he has more points than JRob, Hintz and Johnston. That sounds like a real deal guy to chase in the crop to me. Also no first round draft pick easter egg card doesn't bother me. The removal of a card that has no known odds doesn't remove much from the product as a whole. I also don't mind the gaming inserts or the renewed young guns being common. The gaming inserts don't replace anything and aren't any worse than some horrible inserts from years prior (Teachers Pet from last year for example) and the young guns renewed are too cool for me to care about them being common, give me more of them lol. Long story short, I'll take a "weaker" crop at a reasonable price than the series with a generational talent for 2 times more than it should be. 7 days of the week and twice on Sunday. Can't wait for more 24-25.
Yeah, I dont like the gaming theme...I like the renewed yg design most. Also like UD canvas, Dazzlers and Young Guns from this set. The other inserts annoy me a lot. Bought 2 hobby boxes and was lucky to get Lane Hutson Young Gun.
I know Matthews is probably in the top 5 in all of the NHL but the Leafs are doing well right now without him. I say leave him out 'til they start losing. I know that's not going to happen tho. ;)
