A question was presented to Prithvibhai regarding importance and learning urdu. I am a 68 years old man, living in the USE since the age of 17. I was born in a small city in the state of Gujarat. First time when I returned to India, finding and bringing back gujarati sugam sangeet and shastriy sangeet was my foremost desire. Along came ghazals... starting with first exposure to Ghulam Ali Sahab. Became aware of many others later.
My main point: I started my journey to understan and fall in love with Urdu. I now write poems and ghazals in urdu. It has been a steadfast journey of intense and microscopic studies... not in india or pakistan but a far away land.
Long live this beautiful langage.

This is easily the finest I have seen. I did not know if such fine young talent on both sides of the border. One is too busy hearing the "biggies" that one doesn't realise that hodd healthy talent is fast comming up in the form of prithvi, pratiba ayan, Mohammad Ali ji, (what a find). The great flute player (couldn't get his name) and of course Deepak ji on he violin.
I think Md Salauddin sahib should get the highest award jointly from both governments. God bless you all.

A super mehfil arranged by Pak virsa and mr.yousuf sallahudin saheb i continued watched all program in house quarantine for covid 19positive.now I feel much better.
What a lovely program, what lovely sentiments! Wish we separated just this way seventy years ago like a bride going to her " sasural" with the hope of coming back again and again to her childhood home to receive the indulgence of her loved ones. Another thing. The art of ghazal and qawaali is a shared heritage and we should cherish together. Raag sangeet is now more widespread in India. I wish it is embraced in Pakistan, especially Lahore with the same passion as it was done in the forties and fiftes.

Saw this sell bound for three hours in the covid room at max. Repeated it every night. This saw me thru my lonely covid treatment so beautifully and I think this programme did more for faster recovery than Remdesvir too. I am serious.

Shame on those who hide behind the political situation. and greatest shame on those who negate and deny their indic cultural roots for the sake of promised prostitutes as promised by their newly adopted Arabic faith. Basant Panchami has always been the cultural part of Indic agrarian society that lives upon this geography for ages. It's never been part of shame but always a part of life and its happiness. I doubt if any non punjabi Pakistani understands this festival as much as "Hindu" Indians understands and celebrate it across the length and breadth of India, from Northern to the southern part of India. It would not be surprising if Muslims of the Indian sub-continent particularly know the other name of Basant Panchami as its been celebrated in different cultures and states. I am still confused about who should be shameful actually for celebrating or for simply cursing it as celebration of Kuffar's culture. People can still hide behind typing "political situation". That word of "political situation" had been the greater shield for Sudo liberals who lack the strength in their backbone.
do i need to show you the videos of Muslim moulvies spewing hatred against singing particularly or you do have decided again to hide behind typing a weak defensive words of " Political Situation"?. Singing, music, dance, painting has always been part of Indian cultures and religions but never been such with Islamic ideology. i am still finding where and how to find justification in using "political Situation". We celebrates our singers or other artists and we also know which community "in Particular" uses the very derogatory word "mirasi" for performance artists. I hope your brain will work before you type out again this stupid alibi called " political situation" by brainless intellectuals. It needs the courage to call spade a spade.
There is immense goodwill and love between people of India and Pakistan. People to people contacts must be promoted and encouraged, whatever be our political differences or goings on in geo-political fields, if art,culture,tourism,religious tourism & pilgrimage , student exchange programs etc. are a must to build bridges and centuries old bonds. Next obvious steps would be trade relations. Once both these fields are opened up and liberalised, all other pending issues can be discussed and sorted out one by one.
