That bracelet system is awesome, never seen anything like it before and it makes it so much easier. I think they've done pretty well with it as a whole. The bezel is a hair thin but the rest looks great. Nice work with the review 👍
Thanks for letting me know that you had this one after I mentioned it in my AliExpress Sale video mate. It was really interesting to see that quick release link system in more detail. I was worried that maybe the y might fall out, but the fact that are spring loaded means that that shouldn't be an issue at all. Great video mate.
Thank you for this great review. I *really* like the blue that Addies uses in this watch It looks to be inbetween Azure and Admiral blue, which gives it more vibrancy than the typical Navy dials that are ubiquitous. Had I not just blown my budget on a brand new Timex reissue, I would definitely have snagged one of these. It's definitely on my wish list now though.
Just picked this up, great watch but wow is that crown tiny! Folks complain about the Kamasu but this one is a lot worse!! Otherwise it's a great little watch, and for $80 shipped I can't complain. I do wish it had the quick change bracelet, and the clasp is definitely going away in favor of something milled
I bought the enamel blue dial and changed out the clasp for an Allie Express milled one. I the regulated it to +1 SPD, dial up on my time graph er. Love this watch.
Lovely looking watch. I wonder if its accuracy is better than my AD2112 which is terrible for a new watch. Even worse than being inaccurate, it is inconsistently inaccurate even when it is fully handwound each day. They should at least offer a quartz version as they do with one of their divers.
Hi, just got a fair deal on it and am wearing it since. An absolute not to worry GADA watch for me. Had some difficulties to remove the bracelet and am wearing it on a MN strap which is my preference when it's hot. Thx for the review. PS Actually like that the indices are a bit smaller than usual. I think it gives this watch a more dressier look.
I ordered one myself and it should be arriving soon. I bought it from a different seller on Aliexpress however, not from the official Addiesdive store. Did you return yours?
Hi there. Can you put this fantastic bracelet on other watches? I can see that they are selling it on their website but there they say it is for ad2112 and ad2113.
I just picked this up during the AliExpress anniversary sale and was curious if the movement is the NH38 or the 35? No big deal either way. Thanks for the review.
@@EscapeWheel I just have two more questions for you. Sorry! Why was the clasp hard to swap out and what was the width of the clasp? I subscribed to your channel. It was the least I could do.👍
@@nickfoster3637 thanks ,Nick. The clasp is 16mm and it attached with springbars. Not difficult to do. Just didn't find one at the moment. Keep in mind this bracelet isn't what you get anymore. The quick adjust thing. IIRC it's just a screw pin adjustment system now.
Terrific review 👏 Nice watch, clasp can be easily and economically swapped for a much nicer milled clasp. Link system is awesome, first I see this type of spring loaded links. Great watch overall. Thank you for sharing 👍
Nice review of an interesting watch Steve! I agree about the indices being too small but this is the only real downside. Like the glossy dial. I noticed the hands are nicely finished. The 39 mm size is ideal for many wrist size and Tudor themselves aren't offering it. Shame about the clasp as swapping out the clasp for a better one with milled swing arms availabe for as little as six bucks would be nice. And you don't even lose the clasp branding as there is none.
After chatting with a few people, I think the clasp will be an easy swap. I'm just used to swapping in glidelocks or easy links, so you need those first links on the bracelet. But a milled one with spring bars would be a simple swap. 16mm clasp
Bought this watch all going fine then 2 weeks ago got up the watch had stopped got it going worked fine but this morning stopped again has any body had this problem like the watch but not happy about this watch stopping I have had automatics all my life and have not had this problem before ?????????
If you manually wind it like 60 times, how long will it run? Wondering if the rotor isn't winding it (may the screw is lose) or if it's an issue with the actual movement. Thankfully these are stupid easy and cheap to replace yourself....but I'd be Contacting the seller if I were you.
@@EscapeWheel Thanks I will be looking in to this just don't under stand why the watch works ok for weeks then just stops thanks for getting back to me
Hello, how does this compare with the Cronos explorer L6016 in terms of quality? And do you know if addiesdive/Cronos are known for their water resistance ratings? I can't seem to find info on that!
I'd say both are trustworthy enough for swimming. The watch heads are pretty close in terms of overall quality. The bracelet is where the Cronos shines. It's really good, and the Addies is just ok.
Well, kind of. The clasp and the first links off the bracelet are connected by friction pins, but the last links connect to the clasp by spring bars. So a clasp with no micro adjust may work.
I replaced the clasp on mine without any issues. It's no different than replacing any other clasp. Unfortunately for me, they didn't screw the case back on tight and I got water inside from taking a shower. I caught it in time though and was able to dry it out without any apparent damage. With the movement removed, I let the case sit in a tall glass of water overnight without any leaks, so I don't believe there is any inherent flaw. I did notice that the case back was not very tight when I removed it, so I guess I was just unlucky.
@@hmr171 so were you able to remove the clasp with just a spring bar tool? I’ve noticed on some clasps that it’s not a spring bar that connects it to the links of the bracelet
@@roger.bhutan Yes, there was a spring bar on each end which goes through that small connecting end-link which then fits inside the clasp. The spring bar was almost fully compressed though, but came out with no problem by using the pusher end of the tool, not the fork end
Pretty damn nice little piece for a bargain. These AliExpress bargains made in that San Martin Factory are pumping out boatloads of these (I don’t even want to use the word) watches that even it you’ve got a significant array of quality Swiss originals in the collection as I do, I’ve come around to snagging a few like that Doxa inspired Seastern as well as Aqua Terra / Grand Seiko model with that grey dial. Well done San Martin, Proxima & Addisdive, Seastern and all the sharp little beaters especially the original but heavily designed models available & affordable for everyone especially if your traveling to a country in which if you don’t have a private detail security team round you’d lose the original, your hand or a $200 beater. 3 solidly built and nicely finished watches that perform and look damn good for under 500! I have to do it this time after selling a few Microbrand & a Citizen that don’t see as much action & are new with no wear
I think this one should work. haven't tried it myself, but it SHOULD work. 16mm that connects with just springbars. I checked the pagani and San martin clasps I have here and none of those would work because they have a part of the bracelet integrated into the clasp.
@@EscapeWheel Steve, didn't recieve the link. Maybe you eant to add it to the links in the descripion also for other youtubers or if I don't hear anything I send a quick mail to confirm. Found one on Ali but looks not really like an improvement.
I wouldn't dismiss it man. It's pretty comparable to San Martin quality (besides the clasp). Fit and finish, bracelet comfort, lume, crystal. Very comparable

great review the bracelet re-sizing links are fantastic would have loved a milled clasp for the price but a cheap swap out i really nice piece
agree. the clasp is really the only negative of the watch. it just deserves something so much nicer to match the rest of the watch.

Yes the addiesdive logo and name dominate the dial too much. The rest is great especially the lume. If they could fix that logo and clasp….

Great choice for a GADA watch. Been wearing mine on a canvas strap in these hot summer days.
For future buyers... They are not putting anymore that bracelet. I received my watch yesterday and didn't come with the quick release bracelet.

Awesome review , can you tell us what the clasp size and do you have any recommendations
Clasp size was 16mm. Note, they no longer use the fancy quick adjust bracelet

I actually found a $7 replacement that's much better

As close as you can get for the price. Better than the 3-6-9 dial.
Thnaks for review! What's better: Phylida bb36 or this Addies?
If say the Addie's is slightly nice
This dial compared with PD ranger which one has more deep black ?
